Instagram - AdamTheWooATW Nothing better than an impulsive cross country 9 day journey that stemmed from the fact I didn’t want to get back on an airplane to return home to California from Florida . More of these to come but for now some SoCal stuff . Finally home after 5 weeks away
Thanks for the ride Adam. This 9 day trek is now concluded. Awesome work, my friend! Rest well. Viewing these everyday has been pure joy. I thank you, we thank you, for a job well done. Of course, looking forward to the next adventure Adam! So much fun and enlightening video of Americsna past and present.
Adam, your 9 video travel series was a Grand Slam. I'd say if everyone who has watched got together we'd give you a sincere standing ovation. This was UA-cam done right. Excellent, excellent work. Thanks so much.
Thank you for letting all of us tag along with you on this beautiful and awesome 9 day road trip. My wife and I loved them all. Your an awesome person. 👍👍👍👍😎👊
D Heverly Adam needs to come back to Pittsburgh to cover so much he missed when he covered mainly Mr. Rogers. We love Fred Rogers but the ‘ Burgh has so much more ( like the Steelers- lol )!
AZ - yay! My state is becoming Arizonifornia. I’ll never get tired of our turquoise skies and red rocks. Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon are magical.Talk about seeing Big Thunder Mtn... it’s here!✨
Adam, enjoyed the the road trip very much. The cows going back on the other side of the fence when you ask them what they were doing out was a hoot loved it.
The train shot in front of the lake A++, as for the others? A++! All the distant mountain shots!??? A++, Lol! This is a great channel, thank you for sharing.
@@CANControlGRAFFITI I am a freight train fool, as fo myself!? It's been a while since I had time, to catch up with "Tha-WOO" was about a year ago. Adam's humor cracks me up, and the Locos are icing on the entertainment/cake.
Wow; thanks for posting. I have been in every one of those places when they were active businesses. I still have a Kachina I bought in Meteor City around 1973.
Hi Adam ,I just wanted to tell you that, not only do I enjoy 😉 watching your videos, but more then that, I enjoy your story telling . It’s so soothing to me and it’s like someone reading 📖 a story book each night when I watch you. Thanks for the entertainment. 👵
@@TheDailyWoo Glad you are back safe. Thanks for the visual journey. How were your lodgings and road food? After all that faded glory in those small towns, I feel the history as well. You made a comment in Louisiana--these husks of buildings with all those trim pieces a flappin' were someone's dream... investment...sharing in community.
thank you i remember so many of these places when they were thriving in the 70s and 80s and very early 90s. lots of good meals on our weekend drives with first my grandfather and then my stepdad and mom and then with my own begining family. nice to see them again.
I've loved this "Off The Beaton Path" series ... loved seeing the towns that gets passed by OR forgotten about over the decades and years kind of sad to think about that these once-thriving towns and tourist attractions are no longer because of the highway system that took people away from the scenic & byway roads Also too bad that there couldn't be a way to fix up a lot of the Towns & "Tourist Attraction" so that this generation could visit and for historical factor !!!!!!
I loved this 9-state journey down the backroads. I particularly enjoyed today's. Those abandoned places are fascinating. The one constant was the trains. TY for this terrific series, Adam. #1
Every morning I sip my coffee from my "Here It Is" Jackrabbit Arizona coffee mug. I bought it 17 years ago on my last family vacation when I was in my teens. My grandparents used to stop there back in the 60's and 70's when my mom was just a kid.
I have pics of me as a 9 year old at Ft Courage 1969. I was a huge F-troop fan. We were traveling cross country and I pleeeeeeeded with mom and dad to stop there. I still have a souvenir pennant from there. Time marches on. Thanks Adam. This has been some of your best 9 days.
Oh man I remember when you last visited the pancake house/Fort Courage. For years traveling between Albuquerque and California I'd always see that fort and want to stop but never did. Nice to see you keeping up with it. It feels like that drive is somewhat of a timecapsule. A lot of stuff just sits untouched and you can tell it was probably a decent tourist destination in the late 60's-80's. Now it just sits there waiting.
Adam, I watch your videos since years. This series is the best you ever made. Thank you for sharing the pictures of this wonderful country. Please more!
Awesome road trip, sir! Loved seeing the snow. All we have here is severe thunderstorms. I would take the snow any day! I can't wait to see where you go next!
Should’ve dropped down 89 from 40 and headed into Prescott, great historical town. I know it’s about the forgotten spots frozen in time, but to see history unravel on this town is a site to see on its own
Every drive on I40 in NM and AZ, Union Pacific trains hauling ass in the distance. And snow at the higher elevation is pretty to look at. Anyways, wonder how cool it would've been to monorail(or train across the US)we will never know.
Thanks Adam for wandering off the beaten path to show the parts of US most never see. You inspired me to get off the Interstate and see more. It's been a great journey this past decade.
Sir, I live in Warwick (U.K) and everyday for the last 9 days I’ve put my TV on at the end of the day and really enjoyed your daily addition to this series. Absolutely loved it. Thank you so much!

Loved it!!! Do it again! Do it again!!!! Seeing you explore abandoned buildings is was brought me to you a few years ago when I watched you for the FIRST time exploring the old Minnelli mansion!! Awesome trip!! Snowy Arizona was beautiful!!
Really enjoyed all 9 days of your state to state trip. It’s been fascinating. Thank you for doing it,Adam. One of the states you went through was my home state of Mississippi. Thank you for what you do. It is greatly appreciated. Take care of yourself and be safe.😊
Wow, it has been a few years since I took the I-40. A lot of things have closed. Thanks for the trip, Adam. Smart move getting off the road less traveled in the snow. Even the 40 is a troubling spot at times in the winter. 🌬❄❄❄☃⛄🌵🌴👋
I watched each day and loved it! I hope you’ll consider visiting the small towns of the Carolinas and Virginia and another time perhaps show us the small towns of New England.
I was by (and sometimes in) the places in the 1950s...and now fly by them on I-40. Great captures of the old places I went by as a kid. Thanks for the memories.
Don’t know how I stumbled onto this channel. As a kid in the ‘60s my family would take Sunday drives and we would drive into towns like that and I would say “I want to live here”. There is still part of me that wants to live there. You have a great eye and are respectful.... looking forward to see all the videos.
Another fantastic trip Adam. It’s been brilliant. So interesting to see these forgotten places. Very haunting and poignant in parts. Here’s to another 10 years 🍻Thank you.
I really enjoyed this trip, it is very sad to see so many buildings getting smashed out of existence, I wish someone would save the Twin arrows and also the buildings at Two guns.
Look at your subscribers that should tell you something. Stay on the road young man. Stay on the road. You have done such a spectacular job. Thank you for the bliss.
"Starman", I remember watching that movie when I was a child with my Mom and four siblings. Thanks Adam for the interesting tour. I can get a little fulfillment for my traveling bug through you. I'm stuck in Northern Idaho at the moment.
I love AZ. I drove from Chicago to California in December 2015 and I was in disbelief that there was snow on the ground! Never knew that AZ got so cold!
I can still remember stoping at Ft. Courage on the return trip home from a family vacation, I was 13 years old. My Mom had bought me an arrow head and a headband. Happy Memories.
With you being a musician, and the recent passing of my all time favorite band's drummer, Neil Peart. I think it would be incredibly awesome if you could do a video showcasing some of his (and the rest of the band's) stomping grounds.
It is hard to imagine how many livelihoods were attached to these places and how many small and large encounters happened over the years. Getting all philosophical and romantic here.
Hey Adam, thanks for taking the time to share your adventures with us, I have mixed emotions watching this, I love cruising through old downtown areas, really cool. But it's sad that we have lost so much of the fun of the journey, now it just about getting there. Thanks again, you do awesome work!!!! Jeff

Thanks for taking us along Adam. Great job! The trip...….is over.
