Rode close to Matterhorn base

I rented a mountain bike in Zermatt (Switzerland) and decided to ride as close as I could to the base of the Matterhorn. I rode closer than what you see in this video, but gave up getting as close as possible for 3 reasons: Snow; not seeing another person or any buildings for more than an hour; and feeling vulnerable because my rental bike had no tools or spare parts. It would be a L O N G walk back to Zermatt.
Nothing went wrong and I enjoyed the ride and the views. The Swiss Alps is my favorite place to visit.
