Shop Purge? I saw that movie. Best of the trilogy! Nice looking table Matt, very good work. I've been dipping my toes into the water based poly the last few days to finish the interior of a box. If you dint mind the question, what do you use to apply it? I get quite a few brush marks with a brush. A rag seems to do a little better but it's still not perfect. Thanks for the great content!
First of all, thanks for watching! For the finish, I ended up just using a foam brush. Is it a professional-like finish? Not even close, but there were no noticeable brush marks. Hope this helps.

Matt In searching a subject I ran across you again and saw that you are back to making videos. However with all the other videos on youtube longer and more detailed, I will have to wait until you refine your content a little more until I become once again a subscriber. I will though check back periodically.
Im really trying hard to not be mean here, the intent is constructive, not demeaning, but I was excited to see you come back to UA-cam, but am disappointed that after 10 plus years of watching you, you are still doing entry level projects. Most of us only have a limited amount of time to watch YT videos, why would I choose this over something a little more......refined. The fact is I wouldn't other than my loyalty, and this is evidenced by the view counts and subs.......Sorry Matt, someone needs to say it.
First I'd just like to say thanks for watching and then returning after all these years. I really appreciate it! This definitely isn't my favorite kind of comment, but I'm not upset by it, there's nothing overtly hurtful in what you've said. So much has changed since my very first episode in January 2006. Today there are so many content creators putting out great content, that I'm cool with maybe just being the "entry-level" project guy because ultimately that means perhaps I've inspired someone to try something they were intimidated to do in the first place. The reality of the situation today is I'm happy with the simplicity of my builds. At the end of the day, I'm just an amateur/hobbyist woodworker who "enjoys" the builds where/when I can, and at this point in time I don't have the drive and/or desire to take on elaborate and more challenging builds (although occasional it crosses my mind.) I toyed with the idea once of making the leap to TRY and become a professional woodworker, but I know my limitations and decided to leave that to the real professionals. Again, thanks for watching!
