Not very informative. Do i cut above or below a knot in the branch? Do i cut at an angle or straight cut?

Stan, can you tell me the name of the palm/yucca that is to your right in this video? I notice that the fronds on this one cluster close to the end of the stem, whereas similar plants seem to have more fronds down the stem. I prefer the fronds that cluster toward the end. Thanks in advance for your time and for the rose tree info!
