Think Iron Maiden listened to them much? They couldn't hold a candle to these guys. They made rock and roll respectable. Finest guitar team this side of the galaxy! This concert is amazing!!!!
Thank you for the upload. What an incredible band indeed. Then and still now (and let's not forget to buy their work and/or see them on stage as much as we can).
I saw this formation, the original, in 1974 with my brother on an open air concert in Ludwigsburg. Andy Powell, Martin and Ted Turner, Steve Upton. It was so great and my first concert or open air.
I hear great song writing as well as harmonizing twin lead. It makes me think maybe Iron Maiden or Thin Lizzie may have taken this influence and put their stamp on it. Very musical harmonies by the singers. Really love this.

Why go back? Since 10 years we have two Wishbone Ash bands. Show us another band with this spirit. You can see them both evry year, at least in Europe they are touring regularly.
Much as I love John Wetton, and Laurie Wisefield- THIS is Wishbone Ash....the only lineup that sounds right to me. Although the first couple with Laurie in the late 70's were close....but Ted and Andy just clicked together. And of course Martin makes it final. They are well past their prime here-but still sound great. The other 90's and 2000's on iterations are just excellent bar bands, imho.
First time i've seen the original band in concert. This is exceptional playing and would have been superb to have been there. The modern incarnations are good,but....
Great show but very low sound volume and not their best sound mix. Great live band what shines with a lot of tasty live stuff out there on UA-cam and CD. Thanks for the upload!!!
I really like the original lineup and have all their albums. The older classic ones and from the reunion years. Some excellent stuff. The 80's drumming is the only drawback on the latter stuff.
There weren't any Music Man?Peavey HP sig type guitars(such as Andy is playing)-or Paul Reed Smiths (which is what Ted is using) about back in '74, I'm afraid. Also the clothes and hair give this away as a later 80's concert, I believe-20th anniversary Ted says.
The original Satsop happened in '69, I went into service @ the 70's. I was there. Something doesn't make scenes. I know Joe Cocker showed up for one song. It was great and he left..poof, like so many did. Trying to make a name for themselves.
Argus-one of the best albums for eternity.
Hello from Ukraina - Don^t War
The original line-up here was the best ever line -up for Wishbone Ash. Martin Turner, Steve Upton, Ted Turner, and Andy Powell.
I agree !!

What a terrific band. Great concert from the original members of Wishbone Ash.
First album I ever bought was 'Argus', back in 1973. It's still in my top 10 album list.Great album and a great underrated band.

Definitely, because I remember it well... in 74 it was like browsing through the shelves, and it was damn good

I dont like cliches, on the other hand, 'tragically under appreciated' ! I love this band.

They were all influenced by the Allman Bros. Band.
@@terrycuster4213 As you say, the Allmans started the ball rolling, but Ash took it to a whole new level.

Wishbone Ash my favorite band. I grew up with them from Argus on. Now smoke some dope and listen to Wishbone Ash.

I saw these guys '74 in Madison, WI...Great Show!

Pat Stratpicker Here to Hear-their latest album they reference came out in '89-so somewhere around there.
Pat Stratpicker Pat, I meant to say they were my first concert in 1974.

the audio fidelity of this upload SUCKS. Dang bro, I feel like I'm listening to it on the back side of a door or with a pillow over my head, yikes.

Wishbone Ash is unknown because he did not give his soul to the Devil, the price of success on earth.
