I always enjoy taking a break from my job in Tampa, FL and escaping for a bit while watching these fantastic videos. I’ve been to Liverpool 3 times (studied at Kings College in London ‘91-‘92) and never tire of English history or anything connected to the Beatles.
I got the autograph of Billy Liddell (famous Liverpool FC player) who was coming out of St James Church in the early 60s. I attended the Congregational Church which was turned into an old folks home. Happy memories from those days! Great to see another video of Woolton. Thanks for posting this.
Some say the greatest LFC player of all time. I don't watch football anymore, but it would have been a joy see him considering the folklore surrounding him.
@@fredfredericks3496 Some of my heroes when growing up in the 50/60s were: Bill Shankly, Billy Liddell and Jimmy Reid (Union leader) which is funny when you consider they're all Scots. Not thinking the same way now but they were a part of my thoughts at that time.
Great update as always Jeff

Love this video! I grew up around Woolton, and it’s amazing to see how you’ve captured both the past and present of the area.
Hi Jeff, great video love looking at the before and after 👍
Spent many years walking up and down Church Road as I used to go to Bishop Martin, good times!

Coincidence, walked down there today, on my way to Tescos (stocking up on Baileys for xmas - on offer, £10 for a lt.).
Ooo nice tip my youngest likes Baileys.
