How to install a doggy door in a french door, installing a doggy door

Taking a French door and removing the glass stops to install a piece of plywood then installing a doggie door. Saving all the pieces to re-install later

I was hoping it would work for me, but my French door has one big peace of glass behind wooden bars.. I guess my only option is to take out glass and put plexy glass instead since it’s much easier to cut plexy glass and put a doggy door in it..

Thought about it and the best solution, replace the door with with a 9 light door so a doggie door can be installed. Then, if you sell just have the French door reinstalled

@@dustyguy thank you for suggestion. I will probably try proxy glass trick (pretty cheap), if it doesn’t work I’ll just buy what you said. Don’t really care how it looks, just need a doggy door finally..
