- Get Your Free DRUM! Mag Pack ► pro.drummagazine.com/free-dru... The new DW True Cast Bronze snare drum is heavy. It’s comprised of a sandcast bronze shell, which is CNC machined inside and out. The shell is concave: It’s 5mm thick at the edges and 3mm in the middle. Hoops are also sandcast aluminum bronze, making it a little stronger for rimshots, etc. Lugs, tension rods, and washers are also machined out of solid brass. A special mini Mag-inspired throw-off and butt plate are also machined out of brass. Each badge is numbered out of 50. Available in 14” x 6.5” and 14” x 8”.

Where and when do they go on sale?
Still haven't seen anyone make a cast copper 6.5 snare.
Finally another copper guy!! Yay!!! I own several copper snares and it is definitely my favorite metal when it comes to metal snare drums. My go to is my 6.5 X14 gretsch USA hammered copper in antique burnt finish. I like you would love a cast version of a copper drum!!! Dark and sexy!!🤤
VK drums make cast copper i believe
@@tuslokbaki9579 I see nothing on the website that indicates this

Hit the damn thing ffs!
Hate to say it but the sound clip that sweetwater put up sounds pingy/thin with not much low-end umph. Not good... Once again the old school Tama bell brass from the eighties still rules the day!!
Why is every bronze snare that comes out called "the beast"
To clarify, this snare is not actually called "The Beast," but he referred to it as "a beast" because it's really, really heavy.
Way overrated absurdly overpriced.
