Nope. The Perret mountain line from Newberg to Sherwood is currently out of commission due to lots of the bridges and track issues. There hasn't been a train running on that line in roughly 7 years. Trains run to sherwood from the north, and to newberg from the south. There is only one train a week roughly to newberg just to pick up this one load and bring it to mcminville to be a part of the large "Westsider" train.
1201 is now one of the yard units in Albany. Although, Ive been told they rarely use it anymore. Sometimes they use it to shunt cars around or to grab the loads of various arrival trains, but thats only as a backup to 1501. I really do miss 1201 street running back and forth to the mill and the Newberg Yard all afternoon.
Nice video! It sure was fun watching as the SD40-2 was doing switching, I liked it going LHF towards the end!
+Union Pacific 1982 Thanks! It was a neat catch
Nice catch of their newest locomotive!
Thanks! Usually 3005 is the loco that makes it's way to newberg - but that day it was 3369. Pretty neat power
+AmtrakPNW I've always wanted to see 3369, but it can't reach me since it doesn't have cab signals to run through the commuter corridor.
+PNWRailfan Oh that makes sense. Yeah usually it stays on the westside district. Running on the Westsider and McMinnville/Newberg switchers
Awesome catch!
Love that horn sund!
Indeed!
Cool video!
Thank you!
Are trains still going from Sherwood to McMinnville, OR ?

Indeed! What a success!
Do you have any idea where the 1201 is ?

Could I ask what camera you used for this? Thanks in advance!
