Real top-quality bosses are like machines, they have it all in their head and never come unprepared to a meeting. Meryl makes it look "wow", but i've seen people do that in real life, the only difference is that Miranda feels it's her duty to destroy the soul of every person she talks to :D
Miranda ate Andy for breakfast in that Cerulean blue speech, the movie could have ended right there and receive an standing ovation. It would have been great to include the scene where Andrea finds Miranda crying in her hotel room in Paris, that scene is iconic because it was shot in ONE take! and Meryl delivered masterfully.
I think her whole explanation for how she averted the takeover at the end should've been part of this list. Cause that right there is the perfect epitome of how damn good at her job she actually is. Nothing happens to the magazine without her knowledge, and the second she got wind that someone was trying to squeeze her out, she spent what had to amount to possibly the entire year, meeting with designers, photographers, editors, writers, models, all of whom Miranda brought to the magazine and made thrive under her wing, and told the magazine owner flat out, "If I leave, every single one of these people will follow." To me that was like the most badass part of the whole movie.
Miranda was a beastly person. It's one thing to have high standards, it's another to communicate those standards and resultant expectations with disrespect and dismissiveness. By all means, have high standards, but also have some humility in dealing with others.
I always find funny how everyone draws Andy as egoistic for getting over Emily in the Paris thing, forgetting how Miranda threatened her whole career (not just her job in Runway) if she didn't go to the trip.
The most “epic” moment of all is something that is not mentioned. I have watched this movies countless times and if we dive deep into the character of Miranda Priestly and Andy, it’s very telling what this movies message was at the end= FREEDOM. Miranda hires Andy because she saw something different from the status quo and with all the “yes men” running around. This is real life, no person has the balls to go against their higher up because “livelihood” and “money” right? Miranda knew this and as mentioned saw much of herself in Andy but wanted to see what lengths Andy would go to get something that she wanted. Remember that letter at the end in favour of Andy getting her dream job, Miranda done this because once again Andy was doing what she always wanted and again wasn’t stopping for anything, which is something till date Miranda envied in Andy. I really enjoy watching this movie for its deeper meaning, I keep the epic moments just for laughs 🤣🤣🤣
As an ENTJ person, even when i didn't know that i am in that time, i somehow felt so related to her... I just so gets irritated why people considered Miranda as villain..
This movie is a good example of life, and working in the corporate world! It’s dog eat dog, meeting unbelievable expectations, & your looks matter! Miranda’s character is very fluid, in my opinion. The power hungry boss filled with hubris fits in any career field! This character just did it poshed our in Prada! ❤️ This movie! Funny thing is, people like think everyone wants to be them? Good manners and humility never go out of style! If there is one thing people love more than putting you on a pedestal, it’s knocking them off it!
She’s so iconic. The farther I rise in my career the more I realize Miranda was right about most (but not all) of the stuff she did in this movie. Andie was an awful employee at the beginning of the film

Yass can’t wait to watch this video, one of my fav movies! Can’t wait to hear yalls genius scene ideas
The shoe stare down is amazing!!!!!!
I always find funny how everyone draws Andy as egoistic for getting over Emily in the Paris thing, forgetting how Miranda threatened her whole career (not just her job in Runway) if she didn't go to the trip.
Yeah. I mean, you have to do what it takes for survival in the world.
Noname Needed the movie had so many political messages more profound than your freedom analogy!
The way she says "You already did " 💙💙
As an ENTJ person, even when i didn't know that i am in that time, i somehow felt so related to her... I just so gets irritated why people considered Miranda as villain..
This is one of those movies where you can’t call anyone a hero or a villain.
This compilations SO did not need this chirpy narration. Every clip speaks for itself. No set up or annoying narrative is required.
This was an Oscar-worthy performance,
This movie is a good example of life, and working in the corporate world!
I knew the Cerulean speech would be #1...the most iconic moment in the movie..
I don’t like movies much, but this is one of my favourites. Meryl, you are amazing in this role, so funny!
She’s so iconic. The farther I rise in my career the more I realize Miranda was right about most (but not all) of the stuff she did in this movie. Andie was an awful employee at the beginning of the film
More Miranda Priestly? Yes, please.
Meryl Streep is amazing can literally slip into any role
Such a great movie! I cried at the end😭❤️
