I just noticed the part where she says, "Hope I'm not on the edge like this forever." And it made me think of it as a PTSD. Still recovering from something traumatic, and feeling a little bit better only to get worse again. You're so scared of being let down again. Not denial, just something you need time for. Not judgement and sometimes not concernment. Just normalcy.
This realization hit me like a train. It really is insane how a small thing can unravel so much work done towards healing. For me it’s usually smells. If I smell cologne or food that an abuser ate often I’ll start to feel physically ill. And usually have a panic attack. Ptsd is no joke and this song could definitely fit several issues but ptsd definitely fits. This song hot home for me
