8:00 This is does exist, yes! It’s called De Pagode and it stands in De Efteling, the biggest theme park of The Netherlands! Edit: Sorry, it’s called the Pagode of course.
Yeah, really sad how some people don't even seem to know this ride. It's actually pretty common in Europe. With the best version in De Efteling and another version in Gardaland. America has some versions too, with one version in a Legoland. So it is well known by many people in Europe and not so much in the USA. Also there are a lot of versions in China and Japan.

Thasnks Geekism. Happy too view your dlc videos because i have not played this game in a year. (My PC is getting too old for this game sadly) I,m so behind on all the updates and DLC packages. This channel is a big help for me! Thanks for that!
The Sky Temple... there was an old theme park in Florida called Cypress Gardens (where Legoland currently is) and they had one of these conceptual rides
Agreed more scenery would be nice but I just love this pack! The Flying Pagoda use to be popular here in the states in the 70's. We had one here in Florida at Cypress Gardens. I think it was called the Floating Gardens or Something. This will go well in my kiddie sections of my parks I have planned because kids and older folks loved this ride. Thank you for the swift update and hope your move went well.
Personally, I'm not impressed. When I heard "Classic rides" I thought they'd add a lot of carnival rides and Junior Rides for kids. Gravitron, Bobsleds, Double Decker Ferris wheel... You know, stuff from RCT3....
A few notes: The car ride is VERY similar to the ride system Disney created for the Ford Motors exhibit "Magic Skyway" at the NY World's Fair in the 1960s (the dinosaurs of which moved to Disneyland to be part of the "Primeval World" add-on to the Grand Canyon Diorama on the train route. The Ford ride featured open convertible cars (mostly the then-new-and-hot Mustangs) and since the Fair ran for two summers, they upgraded to the new year's models in the second year. One fun feature I remember (I was there as a kid) was that the car RADIO with the oldschool five-button-preset tuner allowed you to change the LANGUAGE of the narration to various choices--I think it was English, French, German, Italian, and CHinese or Japanese. Secondly, re. the pagoda? This exists AS "Sky Pagoda" all over, and surprisingly it is thrown into areas of parks with NO related theming whatsoever. Why somebody who originated this in reality decided a pagoda theme was best is beyond me but it IS true to history, and not just old history--I seem to remember one of these at Magic Mountain in California when it opened, too. Lastly, the gondolas are VERY similar in shape to the new ones being done at Walt Disney World as the "Skyliner"--a new alternative transport system to take the load off the monorails and busses, and that says to me that those who build PlanCo parks with resort areas and hotels could use this just for that instead of as a "ride ride" to get guests to/from the park or even from parking and be right in step. Thanks again!
Oh my good god. Camden Park in West Virginia has the whip, colors are the same with wood and metal, everything exactly like the ride here. It’s still operational. We also have an original haunted house ride and the paratrooper style ride you showed and a wooden coaster.
The whip, There is a version of this at Disneyland that is Cars Themed with Mator. It's a lot of fun and my son loves it, it's a different design but same mechanics.
I personaly love that the sky tower is themed, mostly since what you get is what it is. it's not like we could possibly theme it ourselves, since pieces don't stick and move with a ride. That it's Asian themed isn't bad, finaly gives something to use the asian set for from the world fair pack, although i did wish this ride had come with the world fair pack directly, after all it is part of one of the themes from the pack. The chairlift i kinda hoped for a more rct 1 and 2 style, still open gondolas with a round roof above it, my personal prefference. The car track ride is the biggest meh of the pack, we had cars already, would have much more hoped for a small open monorail, maybe even a bike monorail, would have been something new atleast. it's some fine rides, well detailed, but the waterride steals the show! It's by far the best addition we got here (my opinion)
More scenery is great for sure, but I’m really loving the ride DLCs. More variety is always welcome. I was hoping for a few more missing fair rides like the gravitron or a falling star, but maybe next time. Super excited about the gondolas tho!!
Those tower ride heights are adjustable and in real life they are anywhere from 50 to 150 feet tall. I don't know meters for my friends outside the US.
It was kind of funny, the first I ever heard of that type of sky tower was in a video about Efteling I was watching, literally the day before Frontier announced its inclusion in the upcoming pack. In the video, he mentioned Pagode at Efteling and another one called Flying Island in Gardaland, so I had kinda assumed this would be the ride with two versions, one themed and one not! Interesting that wasn't the case. I'm excited for the boat ride and the gondolas, for sure! Would still love to see another scenery pack, too, though. Or more shops; we're sorely lacking in gift shop variety at this point!
So it looks like that observation deck ride is an almost exact copy of the “flying island” made by international amusements in cooperation with Intamin. Doesn’t excuse the excessive theming but I see where they got it from though
The Island in the Sky operated at Cypress Gardens/Legoland Florida from 1983 - 2018. Same ride system as the Sky Temple, completely different look. Last I heard, the ride's remains are still there. I for one can't believe they are doing another transport ride when the entire transport ride system is completely bugged. All Guests ride them round trip and have done so through multiple patches. Until I hear that they are fixing this bug, I refuse to pay for anything further from Frontier. They also seem to be the most difficult company to contact regarding serious game issues or to get answers from!
It doesn’t have the Mack rides multi launch lap bar/extreme spinning coaster lap bar. This little detail left out screws up the safety of inversions. Planet coaster needs a second spinning train variant so that the coaster is safe and realistic with the extreme spinning coaster recreations.
Well thus version actually can't invert at all and that with good reason. This is not the extreme spinner variant, but rather the normal one known as Dwervelwind in Toverland and Euromir in Europapark. The one at Silverdollar City has different trains. Altough strangely this can launch.
i get that only 1 Infinity coaster exists with over the head restraints and the rest have lap bars, but they shoul at least model a variation that is exactly like the smilers trains :)
Hi Jonti.. have you noticed the Classic Rides launch Trailer shows a green car and a yellow one on the macchina Classica . Have they merged 2 rides to make it look as though we can change individual car colours? Very deceptive if they have. This option is long overdue!!!!
Thanks for this dlc spotlight, very great. And i totally agree with you. Nothing beats a "original" Scenery-Pack from Frontier. Also i think that the Toolmaker objects make the game slower. But anyway. Great Video
The only "pagode" ride i know excist is the one in the Efteling! Wonderful ride that's gives You a nice overview of the park and the whole neighbourhood
I like the Whip. They used to have one in the mall near me. Sadly, for the first time, I just don't see this pack being worth the money. The team did a great job on the models and the movement and all, but too many of these rides are becoming too similar. Many times a new skin would suffice, but instead we're getting separate rides with a price tag.
I suck at this game so bad, but I've got to hand it to the team behind the game; they have got to be some of the most dedicated and fan-conscious developers that I have ever heard of. I will continue to buy whatever they put out for this game, even though my coasters continuously kill their riders...
If they do another rides pack I would like to see a pinfari coaster, a mack bobsled, an old mill boat ride and a wooden coaster were the 2 tracks are attached together do you could easily build a racing woodie.
Thanks for another great video Jonti, unfortunately this is the first pack I wont be purchasing. Only 2 rides interested in are the The Whip and Paratrooper. Like you would of liked more scenery items included, or added additional items from previous packs to those that have bought and supported which are greatly missing esp the spooky pack. As it stands PC is gathering dust on my system, my park has expanded where unable to run without framerate drops (which is high end) without limiting number of guests. Devs needed to work on optimisation and bug fixes or even PC2.
I think you copied the wrong description. Personally, I like this a lot more than the Magnificent Rides Collection (which I still haven't bought since I haven't played the game in ages *coughs*). The viewing platform looks exactly like Pagoda at Efteling. That's nice, but something a little less themed would have been better or do two version of this one rather than the other tower thingy. Phantasialand used to have one of those which looked exactly like that, but I can't remember if I've ever been on it. The boat ride is such a classic. I'm surprised it took this long to get into the game.
I haven't really played since before Vintage pack came out so I have a few of these sat in my steam wishlist, but I still get just as excited for new DLC knowing full well I dont have the time to play it
i agree with the packs stuff. I like the ride packs a lot but they could have combined magnificent rides and classic rides and just released it once in a "rides" pack. id rather have a ton of building and scenery pieces
See I guess I'm weird because I *like* the themed things. Mostly because often I am going for a singular theme for a park, like a china or germany park. So I happily will take more of those items over the plain ones that involve meticulously building a piece to get a theme across - and even then it looks shoddy. Are you able to put the trains from the new spinning coaster on the Vector/Mack mega/hyper/launch model?
8:11 is based 100% on the "pagode" in the efteling in NL
it really is 1:1
I almost screamed when I saw the Infinity Coaster! Can’t wait now, really excited
8:10 that ride stands e.g. in the ‘Efteling’ in the Netherlands
Seems Bo and Will's pagode at efteling photos helped the team with that one hahaha. Absolutely spot on. That climbing to get inside is perfect.
8:04 search: the efteling.. It's a attraction there and it looks just like it!
Having been on Pagode at The Efteling for the first time last week, I’m delighted the flying island exists!
Another excellent review of a DLC. You do these the best!
Your Description is for the Magnificent Rides DLC not the Classic Rides..

8:00 There's one in Gardaland as well called "Flying Island" shaped as an UFO.
The only other pagoda I can think of is the Pagoda in Efteling which looks very similar to the one in game so I’m guessing it’s based off that!
There is a Flying Island at Happy Valley Shanghai as well
Wilf Wright pagode*
gamepizzaLP yeah but 2 months after the opening its renamed to pagode
The Sky Temple... there was an old theme park in Florida called Cypress Gardens (where Legoland currently is) and they had one of these conceptual rides
Thanks for the early access preview of the Classic Rides Collection for Planet Coaster! 😎🎉
Can the boat ride do step drops? I can see the boat ride being good for a jurassic park/world remake at the universal parks.
The sky tower is paragode in the Efteling

It was called Island in the Sky at Cypress Gardens (now LegoLand Florida), unfortunately it was decommissioned in late 2017 after 34 years.
The one at Efteling still stands beautifully.
The ride at 8:15 is a flying temple ride!! IT looks exacly like the one in the Efteling and its one of the most iconic attractions there! .
Personally, I'm not impressed. When I heard "Classic rides" I thought they'd add a lot of carnival rides and Junior Rides for kids. Gravitron, Bobsleds, Double Decker Ferris wheel... You know, stuff from RCT3....
Spinny umbrellas lol! It's the Parra-Troopers. Classic American Amusment Parks have them, like my hometown park, Waldameer, Erie, PA
Thar spinny umbrella ride is called the parrotroper

There's a Whip at Knoebel's Grove in Elysburg, PA in the States, if it happens to be one you weren't aware of.

Also:Gardaland
I loved the umbrellas when I was younger. We have them in the UK at Wicksteed Park in Kettering.
Maybe im late, but the temple ride is built in the Efteling, Netherlands and is called “Pagode”
I didn't even know this was a thing! Still, it's really cool. I hope they make a water park update soon.
Cypress Gardens had one of those "island in the sky" turning observation on a lift arm rides.
I really want a soaked expansion like from rct3

Or a wild expansion with zoos and stuff
@@bran-go2sb wasnt a huge fan of the wild one tbh but the water one was amazing i thought but yh it would still be a cool addition

So it looks like that observation deck ride is an almost exact copy of the “flying island” made by international amusements in cooperation with Intamin. Doesn’t excuse the excessive theming but I see where they got it from though
The 2nd coaster is almost identical to the outside part of SAW THE RIDE in Thorpe park
Do u know when the next Uzuri Gardens is gonna come out? Because I checked your channel, masked bandits channel, and silverets channel
