This was a very sad day, when we lost this Great, special humble soul. Audie Murphy. I have heard it said, once, that when we remember, or speak of a person, that they live again, for a brief moment. Which is true When, we remember, them, to life by remembrance of them. It brings them to life, in our hearts ,minds and souls. So I think Audie lives on in so many people's hearts, and always will. You will never be forgotten .You are missed., and RIP Audie Murphy American hero ! ❤
We need more men like Mr. Murphy today. Our young generation has no real hero's now, except for the men and women who love and fight for our country. Thank you, for your service and thank you for the memories you've left us.
Those who endeavored to keep the memory of Audie Murphy alive in the minds of the public hold your heads up high, but if there are others who slowed the cause then take a look at yourself's and question why?For this humble Hero would have done anything for his country...johnny
even according to Audie the birthdate in his own words, as shown here on this monument @ 5:27 is not correct. , several short videos, to include the movie "To Hell and Back" . Is there an effort to correct this error? regards
You are correct, Audie Murphy was born on June 20th, 1925. Since his Army enlistment papers show he was born on 1924 it's my understanding that his headstone, monuments, etc. will remain that way.
He was 16 yes old when he enlisted and not illegally. He had letter of concent from his big sister and guardian. He left active service at 19 yrs old. Sad that these loosers in media are even aloud to talk about him
