    Gosh how exciting for you… I love renovating appartments. I personally would have turned the largest room (one where you knocked down the wall, into a kitchen / sitting room. Kitchen units on the back wall, table for separation between kitchen and sitting area, and then tv and seating area. Old kitchen would become a bedroom (yours) which is right next to bathroom (handy), and the big bedroom for your two lovely boys. That way no one has to walk through anyone’s bedroom and there is great separation between the bedrooms. However whatever you do it will be fabulous because it will be yours.

      @lucygreen875 Місяць тому +3

      that would make sense, but moving old water and gas pipes could be cost prohibitive or even impossible. Also, that kitchen would barely fit a full bed.

    • @Julia1khabarovsk
      @Julia1khabarovsk Місяць тому +3

      Moving water zones is forbidden in Russians apartment. You could move pipes in the room they are, but if you makes your kitchen bigger, all pipes should remained in old borders .For gas rules ever more serious. Like how much space should remained between them and radiators, or there are must be a door in room with gas, etc.

    You always find nice little things to film : wild flowers, 3 pigeons doing not much, a beat-up old Lada. Your roving eye is like that of a film director. The stars are the little things, the extraordinary ordinary that we mostly overlook in our hurry.

    thank you for showing such beauty of the old buildings and it was beyond words to get to go inside. I loved it So Much. All the gorgeous details, the exquisite chandeliers and light fixtures, the beauty everywhere . . . I wished so much I could be thee in person. To dance for rehearsal there . . . oh it was all so wonderful . thank you. The kindergarten school looked so cheerful and whimsical also. And your apartment . . . so much work already was done. I am so happy for you. I liked the first floor you showed for the bathroom. Yes, keeping the vintage beauty. Thank you for your videos. I love them.

    Beautiful video , those building are stunning .. now I see your space in your apartment . Could you take the small kitchen for your bedroom? ( if you plan to live there for a long time your younger boy could take that room) then you could take the large bedroom) And completely use that central space for kitchen/ dining/ small living area. The boys could share that large bed room your older boy would appreciate the privacy , I know your bedroom would be quite small , storage in the hall living space could be the answer . Love both sinks .. you can’t go wrong with the white sink, your floor will bring in the pop of warm colour 😊. When on budget a good eye for colour is all you need keep kitchen units simple and work magic with colour and texture .. wish you the best it will be beautiful .. 💫☀️

    The building style is interesting - just the same as the monumental Palace of Culture in Warsaw (I mean the inside); it's clearly from the 50s, though people not familiar with the Soviet architecture might think it's some Baroque remnants;) I've heard that there are many such "Palaces" across Russia. I love the shot of the dancing couple inside,very poetic!

    Hi Nastya - Loved the old building that you toured. It’s good for viewers to see the culture you have there in Russia. I had learned of it previously through following Russian musicians and ballet dancers. I really liked the late baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky a fellow Siberian from Krasnoyarsk who died before his natural time from a brain tumour.

    The thing that really matters is that you three are healthy and happy.

    I like the 3rd sink- wood not too dark but will go w/apartment. You could always hang curtains where you took the wall down in boys room. If they want to separate out the room, close the curtain. Otherwise, keep curtain open

    i think it is too late to vote by i liked the 5th one. I has smoother transitions between colors and the contrast looks elegant. But whichever one you chose, I'm sure you're gonna make it beatiful.

    Mocha brown is cozy and dramatic. Good choice for small space
    5th choice sink or 1st

    I know someone who grew up in Cairo in a one bedroom flat with 6 kids and a single Mum. It's not easy but you get very smart using space. I'd choose the white bathroom sink as it's white and simple, small spaces are good with white.

    Wow!! Thats a great price. In Canada your materials would cost at minimal 20,000 dollars. I am happy for you.

    Hello Nastya from France. For the sink, the first one is great! For linoleum the second one is pretty :)
    It's funny to see the distribution of the pieces. In France we always have a large living room/lounge, possibly with the kitchen at the back in the corner which was without light when the wall was there, which would have been your boys' room.
    Can wait to see the final result 😊
