Nice game, but I wish they had made a new FPS AVP game with this story-line like the awesome AVP2 from 2001 instead! That was the best Aliens game to date!
I once asked myself why Weyland-Yutani didn't just outfit these secret off the books xenomorph research facilities with a staff consisting strictly of synthetics. It'd be a much better strategy p.r wise because they wouldn't have to keep it a secret because "who cares about synthetics?" At least is the sentiment that seems very common among people in the Alien universe. They're much stronger than humans, they probably don't need sleep, they seem just as smart although they lack emotional intelligence, the xenomorphs don't even acknowledge them when present (they'd need human hosts, but wasting valuable seasoned marines would be stupid) plus they wouldn't even need that many hosts to conduct viable research which also means a smaller colony, which means the chances of a rapid spread would be much less likely and mitigation of the same would be far easier and more likely should plans go awry. But then I remembered that they needed the I.P to sell which means they'd need a captivating and rich horror plot which in turn means lots of valuable and irreplaceable people (even according to the standards of a tyrannical business executive) would have to die in very grusomely and graphic ways. Lol
Great game! I only wish that the VO didn't reuse the same jokes, etc... "Move it slugs" and "damn it you gotta lose some weight" come up way too often. But the game is really great.
While this story was entertaining, I admit, I'm not a huge fan of the "looking from above" play style. It feels like it's distancing me from the action, instead of making me see the events from beyond the shoulders of the characters, or from their own eyes, and thus, when they come across Xenomorph Queens, or (spoilers), whatever that Xenomorph type at the end was, it kind of takes away from being impressed with the size of these creatures. Sure, the looking from above game style allows you to see more of the environment, but you can also look at the environment from what points of view that I mentioned earlier, and still be very impressed. After all, Alien Isolation was a first person style game, and it was very successful at showing the players the scenery around them. Also, one last compliment that I have about the game- I hate it when you either don't have a final boss, or when you DO have a final boss, but it's poorly executed. Sadly, the "final battle" of this story is just (spoilers again) one long chase scene, where you don't even shoot at the...what do I even call this new alien variant? Xenomorph Giant? Titan? Time will tell. Still, I'm glad that, despite these flaws, the franchise keeps on adding more and more layers to its overall lore, and I'm looking forward what we will discover in the future 😊. Also, one last thing- that new armored vehicle that you pick up halfway across the story, with the rotating back double turret, and the two gattling guns in the front? If you build this in real life (or use CGI in a live action movie), paint it black, and add just a few pointy metalic parts to it, I think that it could be a great idea for a Bat-Tank for a continuation to Robert Pattinson's Batman arsenal!😊.
Spoiler Alert! Story was good except for the ending. Characters equal storytelling potential. So with basically every character dying right at the end; all the characters you came to like are gone for telling another story and continuing their development.
The scene from Cerberus is soo fucking cool, for a moment seems to be like Battlestar Galactica Batles, and the first Alien hidde in the most important part of the ship is similar to Alien 1, when the Alien hiddes in the scape pod.
A bit of a throwback to the OLD aliens comics and stuff. The aliens had some dead space Type affect on people after a while. It’s how they made them a galactic threat on their own without humans just trying to spread them/use them.
@2:39:12 No Wait?! Is that vegetation on the wall right there?! That must be a first in an Aliens game as most of these partially terraformed world seem to be covered with volcanic rocks only!
Fck the female protagonist is how you make badass female characters. Not making cringe toxic patriarchy qoutes or trash Mary Sue or talking down men as if it's something good for getting the sense of superiority. But a fcking flawed but well developed female character with GOOD well rewarded decisions as the story goes on. I can say that the dev team made this with passion in mind and not a fcking sjw agenda. The main fmc didn't also show arrogance to her male superiors or anything but also made it clear that gender don't fcking matter on this type of volatile situation. They fcking worked together. Tbh I watched this as if I was watching a movie. I'm gonna buy the game to support them.
1 she defied superiors orders right in the first minutes of the game/movie 2 instead of calling her boss the second she saw camera footage, she decided to go on foot 3 her self affirmations every 10min dont help, either. ... just because the "the message" here is at 6/10 instead of the usual 9/10, does not mean that it is not there. still an enjoyable game, though

This is pretty cool. Why are video game cutscenes uploaded for games just released? Don’t the makers have the same copyright and blackmarket launch concerns as the movie industry? Do they view cutscenes as advertising for the game?
These Dev's should do a remake of AvP: Extintion.

That’s gotta be the funniest thing, it’s not supposed to be, but it was. “You thought wrong!”
Anyone else notice at 7:20 the screams used is the same one used for SCP-096 screaming?
Nice game, but I wish they had made a new FPS AVP game with this story-line like the awesome AVP2 from 2001 instead! That was the best Aliens game to date!
Nice
Thanks for watching!
Lol
Now seeing this game, I want a Fallout game just like the old series 1,2,Tactics modeled after this game.
Great game! I only wish that the VO didn't reuse the same jokes, etc... "Move it slugs" and "damn it you gotta lose some weight" come up way too often. But the game is really great.
If they wanna kill critters they need Ug, Lee, and Charlie. The greatest bounty hunters in the galaxy.
It's me or Dark Descent's gameplay is the same as the Breach & Clear games?
When did this game come out⁉️ Maybe i been so bogged down wit work lately, i totally must've missed it 🤬😤
31:11 Looks like a character from a Bioshock game wandered in
While this story was entertaining, I admit, I'm not a huge fan of the "looking from above" play style.
The faces in this game are kind of over the top.
Wait, Dark Descent is out?
It will be tomorrow
Didn't get this game why wasn't it not like aliens fireteam or alien isolation was awesome.
Come on, team! Hurry up, you slugs!
Tension/atmosphere/storytelling on the level of Alien Isolation.
I was on board until the telepathic stuff, imo they jumped the shark on that one.
A bit of a throwback to the OLD aliens comics and stuff. The aliens had some dead space Type affect on people after a while. It’s how they made them a galactic threat on their own without humans just trying to spread them/use them.
That's always been a part of the franchise, I'm surprised they touched on that
55:00 I wonder if the Crusher Xenomorphs is a mature Runner?
7:13
Anyone else notice the scream from SCP-096??? 😂
1:03:00 so far so good
@2:39:12
No Wait?!
1 she defied superiors orders right in the first minutes of the game/movie
2 instead of calling her boss the second she saw camera footage, she decided to go on foot
3 her self affirmations every 10min dont help, either.
...
just because the "the message" here is at 6/10 instead of the usual 9/10, does not mean that it is not there. still an enjoyable game, though
Hurry up squad and move out were really annoying 😅
That aside, the game is great
ohm .. my doughters name is also cassandra .... omg ... now it gets personal XD
