"We are not successful as Christians but faithful, and that's all He requires of us." i love that!
pastor Chuck brought me so much joy when i drove everyday early in the morning working ,boy i blast that radio up early in that dark Texas road! Yahweh! Bless his family and friends! Fill them with love everlasting to everlasting!
I loved this Leader and Founder of Calvary Chapel. I'm so glad that He's with Jesus Christ now in Heaven's Paradise. He suffered enough at the end! Lung Cancer is so very hard, and he never even smoked, He really was a very good man, and had the most twinkly eyes and smile. You just felt loved by him. I saw a movie from there, in Germany, when We visited Christians, and I loved listening to them weekly on Sunday mornings, thru the Internet. He taught right up to the end-He will be missed!
Calvary Church was a very real Christian church for the real Truth. Very biblical church I am thankful to God I found them. God bless.
Only one who has joy deep inside his heart can smile like that...Bravo Chuck Smith........And God Bless all who are working infront and behind the camera......
Thank you so much for sharing Pastor Smith with the world he touched me in so many ways. I WAS IN PRISON AND WOULD LISTEN TO HIM. I WROTE HIM and her sent me reading material aft no cost.Thank You pastor Chuck
Thanks For This production. I got to know about Pastor Chuck back in 2003 as a Liberian refugee in Ghana through a friend when a Bible School established by one of the Churches associated with his ministry was looking for students to attend the institution In Eastern Ghana. That is when I started my own training for Ministry. In the School we had to learn the Bible from Genesis through Revelation by Pastor Chuck. Those days have shifted my entire life and most of life`s philosophy is based on Pastor Chuck life and Teaching though, I did not see him in person. The way he taught the Bible was simple and with great conviction. I am sure heaven did rejoice upon his returned. One of thing, Pastor Chuck also said in his teaching when he left this body, he was not dead but sleeping.I hope the Ministries and Churches associated with him would continue his legacy. From Liberia,
Be Happy for Chuck can you imagine the shout for joy when he showed up in heaven!?!
Chuck Smith was the greatest man I've ever met.
I heard Chuck Smith's messages after I was saved in 2005. I never saw his face because I listened on the radio. This was interesting to watch, even now.
I thank God for Chuck Smith's Through the Bible through which, until today, I have been guided closer to God. Until today I still use TTB as a reference in studying God's word. Praise the Lord Jesus Christ for this study guide.
I got saved at a Calvary Chapel church, and since then have attended a few others. This is indeed a bittersweet thing. Prayers for his family, and blessings!!!
Pastor Chuck Smith is an amazing man, though he passed away his word will continue on.
Pappa Chuck was my pastor at the original 4 SQ church, to the "little chapel" and then the Circus Tent. I started in 1970, accepted Jesus, and the Calvary Chapel Bus would come and pick up kids for Sunday School. Chuck was a second father to me. He was to ALL of us Oldies that were young kids then. We took pots & pans to the Tent services to catch the raindrops falling through the leaks in the tent. I grew to know him as my Pastor, and family friend. He would come and visit my invalid mother who couldn't get out to church. I met him and Jesus when I was 12 years old. He Baptized me in Pirot Cove, Married us at 16, Dedicated all our babies, and buried my parents. I miss him in so many ways...To be in his presence is to be feeling like you are at "Home". I will forever remember the Irvine Steak Frys, and all the Sat. night Maranatha concerts, No matter how far the miles may have separated us, when I came "home" it was a family homecoming. I agree and disagree with you...Chuck Smith was indeed a GOOD MAN as well as being saved by the grace and love of Jesus. I miss him so much. The tears still flow....I still have human fears of loss, but I do have the true HOPE of seeing him again in heaven.
God Bless All the Pastors And Saints that are Preaching the Gospel...Pastor Chuck will be Missed ..He Was General in The Army Peace.....These Times Are Exciting .....For All of Us ...We must Unite in Love To conquer ..God Bless.

To Chuck's family, My prayers are with you. I will truly miss him. But we do not mourn as unbelievers do. He's only away for a moment and he will return with the Lord. He is truly with God! He has helped me to understand the Word. I can only pray to be as humble to the Lord as he was. God bless you all!

i will miss him and i am glad to have had a chance to meet him.
The Jesus Movement didn't come to my corner of America, but I loved hearing The Word For Today program in the 1980s, and, later online.
He will be missed
I was the same way, but the fear of going to hell ultimately drove me to the cross. I knew God could send me there at any minute. And I knew I deserved it. So then the good news was precious to me, because I truly believed I deserved hell and knew I was heading there. If you have a hard heart then you must dig deep and think about how you have sinned against a God who has been nothing but good to you. Then think about the cross and what God did to save you, so that you may have eternal life.
His joy was sweet.
For he says, “In a favorable time I listened to you,
and in a day of salvation I have helped you.”
Behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation. - 2 Corinthians 6:2
Today IS the day for salvation Briain. Don't let another day go by. You might not have one.
cant believe it.....God bless his family and friends
the last shall be first and the first shall be last!
Pastor Smith also wrote some books. One was about blessed are the feet carrying the gospel msg.
Audio and visual has become much better over the years!
I had no idea that he had passed. Holy Spirit comfort those that he left behind.
so true love u guys .u guys speak the truth Jesus Bless you guys
I like how you put that...blessings.
I cannot help but see Chuck Smith as the Albert Benjamin.Simpson of the 20th, 21st Century. If you want to know, check out the life of A.B. Simpson who was the founder of the C&MA (Christian and Missionary Alliance) I believe you will see an interesting parallel as Chuck Smith reached out to the hippie generation and Simpson reached out to the immigrant generation in NYC. Both became global, believing in the missionary mandate (Matt. 28:19-20) I cannot wait to meet both men with Jesus
Jesus told the dying thief on the cross, "Today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43). The apostle Paul said that to die was to be with Christ (Philippians 1:23), and to be absent from the body was to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:8). After their deaths, martyrs are pictured in Heaven, crying out to God to bring justice on Earth (Revelation 6:9-11).
He is asleep like lazarus. No one goes straight to heaven unless they are translated. We will all go at the same time when Jesus comes to get us.
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
make a snippet video of the story EZ told, starting from the examples of how hell will be thru thr story of the woman who dropped dead, please and thank you!
Hey Mike
He went in the golden chariot to heaven
I think he went on a Platinum Chariot.
@ theantmanchannel: you totally missed the point of that lesson. God has nothing against rich people (which by all accounts I've heard - Chuck wasn't). Riches become a problem when THEY own YOU.
If you love Jesus and you fully believe that He is the son of God, and is God who came to take away the sin of the world. And you live a life filled with love. You give of yourself to others, and never take what is not yours. You love your wife and family as Christ loved the church. But you smoke pot. Will you go to hell. Is there anywhere in the bible that speaks about that?
A race well ran. I notice though the severe misunderstanding of DEATH. The bible clearly makes death a sleep and during this time they(dead) are not aware of anything.
Then in the great day of judgement the current dead rise and those alive are caught up, to be judged.
WHY DOES THE CHURCH AND MANY CHRISTIANS CLAIM HEAVEN FOR THEIR DEAD?
Is this a perversion or lie of God's work to satify the ears?
This world needs truth in love as no other time before.
@Justified444 Yes, great program! Just a little bit more contrast and the faces would match better with the background.
What is your reason for speaking so badly of a man who is not even here anymore. If he is so bad then what does it matter, he is gone and God will decide what happens now . If you are such a good little Christian than you should know that. And if your not than what does it matter. Jesus never spoke such hate over anyone. Jesus spoke truth, not hate. What really matters is what's on the inside of ourselves. Not what's inside of others. God will work out the other. We need to workout ourselves.
Chuck moved
second!
Luke 16: 19-31 clearly the rich man is in Hell already.
