Expensive set up but VERY nice. It's good to see someone that understands the needs of more fragile and enviromentally sensitive lizards. These creatures suffer easily if not set up right.Happy to see a happy lizard!
Excellent video - we are just introducing these guys to our pet store after watching Clint's Reptiles video about them. We will, for sure, link this to our customer page!!
i love your setup! you inspired me to get this cage for a pair i am looking into for breeding. but i am wondering if this size cage is enough for breeding do you think? hm..
I just got my new friend earlier this week and have so many questions lol. Thank you for the video and information!! Also the tank inspo 😅 ... I have a nice setup but I know my baby deserves better
Awesome enclosure. I've got the exact same viv and looking to get 2 MHD's soon, have had it all set up for a while now so i'm looking forward to having some life it in ha
I'm now that enclosure for a pair of varanus Gilleni. I sold the horned dragons and I think they are still doing good. for the dwarf monitors I put a plywood top on the exotic Terra to hold the heat in better.
These look great. Your set up is awesome. I just saw one of these for the first time but the pet store said it hasn't been eating well and they have talked to other stores and they can't keep them alive. Are they very fragile? I have been pretty successful with my Chameleon and also have a baby Bearded. I love the look of these guys!
thanks. I try to do as much research as possible before getting into any species. unfortunately there isn't a lot of info on these guys so I had to dig deep on the Web and it encouraged me to make a better care video than the ones I seen on youtube.
Make sure you have UVB or they will guaranteed get MBD. Also feed with calcium at least twice a week. If you did both those things, not sure why it got MBD
Thank you for the information, bought a pair of Acanthosaura bitangensis on a fair yesturday. Great terra, good advice, might buy a bigger tank sooner or later. The bigger the better right?!
Nhan1one bigger is usually better but harder to hold humidity. if this was a plywood set up sealed with polyurethane I think it would have been way better. it would not let humidity escape so easily and it would hold heat better so the lights could have been lower wattage and wouldn't dry it out so quickly.
Sydni Noble mine never bit at all, usually you could place them on you and they just chill but like to climb high like on your shoulders or head. in the enclosure it's not unusual to see them in the same spot for a few days.
that exotic Terra is kinda pricey, but you don't need that large of a set up. I would guess about $500 roughly for a set up like this with a fogger and rain system.
Hey my mountain horned lizard has barley grown mine is a baby and has only shed once and that was 2 months ago.. It has UVB and misted and feed Dailey.. And I'm kinda worried
sorry for the late reply. make sure your humidity is high! have a fecal test done from a vet, almost all of these are wild caught and have worms and parasites.
I forgot the dome size but they are the large zoo med with a ceramic heat emitter in one and a 75 watt clear regular house bulb. the uvb light is a 36 in zoo med t5 high output fixture with a reptisun 5.0 bulb.
walmart, bait shops have them too. I'd personally stay away from "red wigglers" because they have been known to be bad for certain snakes. why chance it.
sucks because nobody really breeds them, that's why I started the project to begin with. we changed some rooms around and I had to downsize and when I sold them the female was plump and probably full of eggs.
The Legend34 gotta get a microscope and a few books on common parasites and worms in reptiles. then you will know what to look for. you can get medications online once you know what they have and what is safe to use for treatment. you also need a scale because most dosages depend on the weight of the animal.
This was a great video! Well done.
Clint's Reptiles clint!!
Clint's Reptiles thinking about picking up one of these bad boys, just watched ya video awesome one as always.
Hey Clint
#foundclintsreptiles
2 containers, brilliant! Didn't even cross my mind!
Expensive set up but VERY nice. It's good to see someone that understands the needs of more fragile and enviromentally sensitive lizards. These creatures suffer easily if not set up right.Happy to see a happy lizard!
Its never good enough but I hate when people use terms like "minimum requirement"

Awesome video man. I really like these mountain horned dragons.
I didn't know they could eat earthworms! Thx for the advice too!
i love your setup! you inspired me to get this cage for a pair i am looking into for breeding. but i am wondering if this size cage is enough for breeding do you think? hm..
Nice tank. I have a 7 month old captive bred female, Puff the magic dragon!
I just got my new friend earlier this week and have so many questions lol. Thank you for the video and information!! Also the tank inspo 😅 ... I have a nice setup but I know my baby deserves better
Bri Bri I am getting mine in a couple of weeks. Do you know of any groups that I can talk to if I need help with anything?
very nice

Oh really, why did you sell the horned dragons?
collection was getting too large.
Sweet thanks for the video!!!
I heard they like getting sprayed
How often do you feed? Do you always just put feed in the bowl and they come to it? Do you have an elevated food bowl at all? Thanks!

The problem with these is that most of them are wild captured wich explains the high mortality
@@Ndub330 exactly, they are imported with worms, parasites, and dehydration.
Amazing enclosure bro, keep it up

BMXking 658 I have the same size viv as this. This video has helped me loads thank you. Can’t wait to get mine in a couple of weeks.
That’s why you buy them for a breeder
What size and hight and cost and where did u get that tank???
How did you make your water feature?
This makes me miss mine so badly. She ended up with MBD (metabolic bone disease) unfortunately and passed.

When they become tamed are they good to bring places?
What is their temperament usually like? My baby is very docile and likes to sleep a lot. I am wondering if that is normal. Thanks!

Is a 25X25X25 cage to small for one?
any female capras for sale? the local shops by me wont order by gender.
i em learing adout mountian horned dragons to get one thx sooo cute
do you have an estimation for the cost of this set up? I want to get 1 or 2 of this type of lizard and am wondering the cost of getting started.
that exotic Terra is kinda pricey, but you don't need that large of a set up. I would guess about $500 roughly for a set up like this with a fogger and rain system.
Cool
how is he now
Do they go into hibernation
That's a nice setup. I put real evergreen trees in my setup. Is that ok?
Athenastarbrite I'm not sure but I know most evergreen trees such as pine are bad for reptiles. id look more into it if I was you.
Thank you BMXKing. I just thought it looked cool. I didn't know they could be harmful.

does anyone know where i could get a mountain horned lizard that is breeded and not caught?
sucks because nobody really breeds them, that's why I started the project to begin with. we changed some rooms around and I had to downsize and when I sold them the female was plump and probably full of eggs.
how do you treat them for parasites?
The Legend34 gotta get a microscope and a few books on common parasites and worms in reptiles. then you will know what to look for. you can get medications online once you know what they have and what is safe to use for treatment. you also need a scale because most dosages depend on the weight of the animal.
BMXking 658
ahh I see, thanks!
