    Thanks for the detailed video, is there is a process to get the air out from the system once you fill the coolant

    • @TeslaRebuilders
      @TeslaRebuilders  4 роки тому +1

      Since this was a front damaged car the system drained from the bottle the highest point. I'm pretty sure the pumps stopped working and the rest of the system is still full of coolant. I'm getting a new super-bottle and it comes with new pumps on it. I will defiantly go over flushing of coolant when I get everything filled back up and running.

    You may want to try JB weld or melting the plastic with a soldering iron before buying a new coolant tank.

      I did stop the leak that way but the problem is the pumps were damaged due to running dry until battery died. Better off buying one its additional cost but considering what I have in so far its not that much.

    So you drained all the oil from the compressor on removal. Then it is added during the re charge of the AC system? or added separately?

    • @TeslaRebuilders
      @TeslaRebuilders  3 роки тому

      Yes I removed the AC compressor myself and prepared it by draining the oil. You have to use a special A/C recharge machine that Tesla has to add the oil and refrigerant back. They could then refill with the correct amount during the recharge of the refrigerant. It was the only way to be sure there was not too much oil when the amount has to be just right. They were very fair on cost also was only 200$ to service the A/C and recharge. I have also had no issues and works like new!

    I'm confused about something, tesla sells you parts for you to fix your salvage or damaged car but then go on to disable shit on your car cos it's damaged or wrecked. We they are also going to be working on the car, only things they can really do. Some parts you just can't get, they either don't have on ebay or outrageous price. A branded title is public knowledge, I didn't have to tell them anything that they don't already know. I have not signed any forms or agreements about working on my car but they did give me a notice with the info on it. It clearly states that if the title is Salvaged it will be disabled, I believe if the car gets Rebuilt brand it won't. They still do inspections on the cars to work on them, that's still confusing me if they or another bodyshop would do it. But either way I don't care I have stated many times, I don't need supercharging! I already have a new model 3 to travel long distance with, this is just a second car.
