Nice job malcolm. Thanks for the start to finish on this . All they need now is to clean up and repaint the exterior of stevenage station . Enjoy the trains
Steve, yes I agree, all that shiny new metalwork does make the rest of the station look a tad shabby! I must admit I've enjoyed documenting the project (hi-light being the site visit in February - Shame I couldn't put up the original video, it was so much fun with so much banter), even at 3am in the cold ! - Thanks for the comment and support
@@MalcolmCrabbe well look at this way in many years to come and those who are interested in the history of stevenage station ect . You have most definitely played a massive part in showing future youngsters what happened ect . You did yourself proud mate. Really enjoyed seeing the new platform coming into service . Even those involved in building it would probably say the same . Hope to see more of your railway projects. Cheers
@@airzulu2733 Thanks Steve... I guess the next big project will be the doubling of lines between Woolmer Green and WGC.... but I doubt that will happen in my life time ;-)
@@alexstrains903 It's customary at most stations. Stevenage are quite a stickler for it. If it's your first time there you may also be given a short site safety briefing before being allowed to venture on to the platform, if you say you're familiar with the "rules" you should be OK
Thanks for this and all your videos about the new Platform 5 at Stevenage. A great record of the project.
Cheers Gerry, glad you found it interesting.

So platform 5 as officially opened and Great Northern are now operating the Moorgate-Stevenage service via Hertford North. Nice video.
Yup, would have been sooner, but covid delayed it a few months, but it was still over a year ahead of schedule. Glad you liked the video
