    Half the battle with a kit is not to rush. It's hard I know. You just want to play it so bad you usually cut corners. You should go back and spend more time on the body! Experiment with finishes. Not just stains and paint, but true oil and waxing. Wet sanding can give you a pro finish with little effort. Now you got the bug! Go build another. Keep guitar building alive!!!! Very cool

      nah, i wanted it as it is. the washed finnisher was for a chemical reaction, was not ment first dou of the stain i used already had clear varnish in it. but i liked the effect it gave on front and loved the flat finnish, so i just layed down one more layer after the chemical reaction and thougt it was nice :)

      thanks ^_^ yeah i really love the end result i got after this project :) was going for a clean mahogany brown stain first, but under the process it went more toward "old/washed out" front. and after that i thought "why not!" with the vegvisir rune :)

    Did the height of the strings need to be adjusted or the neck straightened by the truss rod?

    • @LokiSnowman
      @LokiSnowman  Рік тому

      The height needed to adjust a bit, and i think if i remember right, the trust needed to adjust as well

    So how much was the kit ? I can't find them in Australia.

    • @LokiSnowman
      @LokiSnowman  Рік тому

      about 1050 SEK or 143,93 australia dollar. and you need import it from Thomann in germany when Harley benton is their housebrand :) but would recommend to buy other tuning screws

    Is it hard to build? And is it worth the price?

    • @LokiSnowman
      @LokiSnowman  11 місяців тому +1

      No it is not hard :) can take som time with painting/stain, but the orginal pick ups are alright, doing the job just fine. But i did order other tuning screw as well. And most passive pick ups should fit in it if you are after a little more better pick ups, but when it is easy connection/solder free in this kit then you need to solder the connections instead. So worth the money if you are after to paint/stain after what you want
