Nice video I like how you actually explain everything.... awesome watch....thank you 💯🎯
Thank you 😁
I built the sg one. Most fun ever and surprisingly decent too.
Thanks for the great content. I've just finished the DC Kit and my experience has been much the same as yours. The fit and finish on these kits really is amazing.
It's a great kit, I will be upgrading the wiring and pickups at some point just for a fuller more defined sound
the guitar sounds good👌🤘👍
Looks cool!!
Great build/review. Looks really nice. Tempted by one of these. Impressed with the new quality of your setup and sound in your new studio! The demo at the end sounds like a cool song. Top stuff. 🤘🎸
It's a very cool kit for the money and a great modding platform.
Thank you very much glad you are digging the new videos
I'm thinking about building and painting one of those and videos like yours are a great help. Thank you very much!
That's awesome, they're great fun to build. The neck and body are decent quality, The electrics would be worth upgrading eventually.
Have fun building it
Very nice, maybe a clear finish on the body keeping the natural look and a painted black neck would be a great look for that guitar! Loving the vids
Thinking of something along them lines for sure 💯 glad you're enjoying the videos
Dude it's like there is a gradient paint job on the body or something with those different wood colours. Looks cool man I would just put a clear coat over it
Yeah I totally dig how it looks 💯🤘
Pyrografy "wood" be cool also
great video
sick 🤟
Sugestion for color I would paint it cream/vintage white like a lp custom, it would look awsome specially when that fretwood looks so dark the contrast would be great.
That's would look very cool indeed
Thinking of buying one, would be a great project with my mom to do, would be my first guitar too
It's an awesome first guitar, will be a cool project
I am thinking to build the same kit with a purple sparkle finish, filling neck pickup cavity and turning this into a modern metal machine with only 81 in the bridge and one volume pot. But inlays might ruin the modern look, so not decided yet...
Just go for it 💯🤘
what are weakest parts that would need an upgrade ? What would you suggest to put on to make it better ?
Electronics, bridges, pick-ups, machines ?? changes for something not very expensive, but that really worth it !
Everything apart from the body and neck
Woow very nicee! Thank you very much ! Well made ! Any possibility to install p90s normal ones and pots? The pick-up gap would be large for p90s I believe I mean not the humbucker sized ones. Thank you
Dude. You got serious. :)
What you mean dude?
Great video of this HB build, Rob! I think I’ll go for one of these nice kits! How can I lose? Very inexpensive, AND a very cool project!
They're a fun little build, the actual body and neck are decent. Plenty more fun to be had after upgrading all the electrics too. 👌🎸
I bet when you play this guitar it vibrates in your hands more than a Normal LP would, as it doesn't have so much finish on it. I would leave the body finish the way it is, as long as its sealed it should be fine. When it comes to the neck, I would possibly stain it just a little darker to match the body and put a satin finish on it on the back. The headstock I would likely just leave it alone finish wise. The tuners I would upgrade, and the pots and caps I would upgrade, and I would ensure the nut was in good shape, it would be the last thing I might replace, the key word is might. Maybe the three way if I felt like it honestly, oh and I would put some pipe tape or plumbers tape/thread tape on the polls that screw into the body, both sets of polls. I don't like my guitars to rattle at all, and I find that when I do that it increases sustain a bit and how much the body and neck vibrate... Its one of those upgrades that I can do to all my tom bridges because I have thread tape laying around the house lol. So it costs me hardly nothing, and if I don't like what it does I can easily undo it with no harm no foul.
..
I might stain the neck darker to make it look like Roasted Maple, I do honestly like the look of Roasted Maple lol.
I’ve misplaced the washer sets for the volume/tone knobs. Can you let me know the size for the tone control washer, nut, and washer please?
grazie.
Prego
Great video, I really like It!
Does the ground wire need to be soldered on the bridge or It can be "free" like you did in the video?
It doesn't need soldering just needs to make contact. Glad you enjoyed the video 💯🎸
@@theguitarmanifesto thanks :)
I know how I would want it personally, black body, neck and headstock with the natural top. Then I’d be able to pretend I was Mick Ronson.
That would look very cool indeed 😊
Was wondering what happened to your videos, Rob. Not getting notifications here.
I know when it comes to painting bikes the more powdery the primer the more it fills pits, and without running. As for top costs seems that Deep Purrple Royyal Crown Sparkle is all the rage. Johnny Marr would approve re the paint..but too bad it's not a Fender-style product. ...ha
Kids were off school last week so didn't get much time.
Double check your notifications are set to all, UA-cam are great like that 🤣
I do like a purple guitar, usually I use filler primer for added bite and smoothness
@@theguitarmanifesto family first, always, says I.
Could the feed back because there isnt anything behind the pickup to keep the vibrations from over acting. Like gold lin lay under the pick ups
The pickups probably ain't waxed
Hmm, what pickups are in this package? are they the same as in the sc-450 500 or 550? and does the guitar need to be painted? for the sound?
Not sure what pups they are, the paint won't affect the sound
Nice miss the painting on that one
I quite like the natural look something different from the norm
does the body and neck need to be sanded before painting?
A light key with 400 grit
hi you said that this guitar has buzz, how did you fixed it ? Thanks a lot.
I haven't touched it yet 😂
@@theguitarmanifesto ok ! thanks again for this vidéo. I ve built the same kit last week
What effect did you use at 21:40? Great video!
I did mention just before the demo 😃
@@theguitarmanifesto found it, thanks
Awesome 🤘 glad you liked the video too 😎🎸💯
Is the frets alright out of the box ? No need for levelling ?
Mine was fine
@@theguitarmanifesto Nice 👍
93 USD not bad at all!
Absolute bargain 💯🎸
Nice video. What is the name of the tune you're playing?
Thank you, it's a song from my old band 😎🎸
@@theguitarmanifesto Whats the name of the song and the band? I really liked it.
Are you gonna do a paint
Not sure at the moment possibly, it will feature in a few more videos
@@theguitarmanifesto cool thanks love your vids , I’m thinking of becoming a guitar technician myself
Ah awesome that's very cool
In the thumbnail it sorta looks like it has a gold top finish🤣
Awesome 😎
je suis francais😀
Sorry to hear that 🤣🤣
