Great video. A contractor is recommending something similar to NDS covered drain tile for our interior French drain. They propose to only half bury it. What are your thoughts?

Do you slope the trench toward sump when you dig it for the 8 slot drain pipe?
My crawl space is very low and it would be very hard to get the drain installed under the floor. Is there a problem with installing it on the outside versus the inside? On the outside, it is pretty much clear around the house and would be an easy install. The soil is very sandy, and it is in southern South Carolina.
Do you lay a floor of gravel in the channel first? Or is the pipe directly against the cloth at the bottom?

Quick question do you guys pitch the drain in the trench towards the sump pump like they do for drainage pipe in a house 1/4” or 1/8” per foot or is it level

Hi. Do you need to do the entire perimeter of the crawl space or only in walls where you see water marks?
Do you not need to put any gravel under the fabric? Just on top?

I know this is an old video so i might not get a reply but couple of questions.
1) Is the photo at roughly 6:24 a view from the outside? It certainly feels like it but want to confirm.
2) I noticed the drain tile us about 1'-2' away from the foundation wall. Is there any issue with butting it right against the wall? Seems like it would be better there although I guess it might disturb the earth in that location? I ask because i was considering encapsulation afterwards as my place smells a little muggy if AC unit isnt running.
They did it away from the wall to get away from the footer
What size width textile are you using for this.
How deep should the trench be ?
14" Deep IMO
