These guitars are really good for the price. Great platform for begginers and modders. Had the same experice with my FFST relic. Out of the box I changed out the strings and did a minor truss rod adjustment and it was good to go. I'd check intonation and adjust the action to your preference.
It even has a small post tuneomatic bridge, excellent looking firefly, I was so disappointed waiting for firefly to drop a decent cherry burst, that I actually went with a chibson, I'm happy with it, but of course as soon as I get one they drop these.
I’m a big firefly fan but I got tired of waiting for them to get some decent traditional color LPs in,so I bought a cherry burst standard chibson LP off aliexpress,to my surprise it has a one piece body and a one piece mahogany neck, the finish is nitro ,and it’s quality outpaces all of my other budget LPs,for the same price as a firefly,of course right after I get the chibson, firefly finally comes out with a decent color.
Nice! I usually always upgrade 2 the Warmoth oversized strap buttons though the ones on your Firefly look adequate. I was about to order one but I bought a used truck that needs a good bit. Soon I will get me a firefly! A few months back I ordered the very last Bullfighter sb series D-120 LP style guitar from amazon & its amazing! It has a sliding truss rod cover. You can see em if you Google bullfighter guitars.
@cgambarrotti playability I'd great one mine, I found other have had issues just depends if your lucky or not? The pickups match the guitar but aren't anything to brag about
2 things....A wood veneer is real wood, although thin, and used for the aesthetics. And typically, the premium aesthetical veneer wood is adhered with a micro thin layer of wood glue to a 3/8 or 5/16 plain maple top.
Things to add to your review ; X 1. Fret Sprout - you did cover this... 2. Weight - use fish hanging scale or kitchen countertop scale 3. Neck Thickness - not just type - measured in inches, not metric 4. Fret rocker test - you mentioned fret buzz. Get a notched straight edge for fretboard 5. Nut cut quality - tuning interference, string pop when tuning 6. Does laminate grain "move" when tilting 7. Is body full Gibson Les Paul thickness 8. Are pickups microphonic 9. Are cavities noise treated 10. Add link to Guitar Gardens website in video description - even to exact guitar (?) The more precise your description/reviews are, the more people will watch you.
@@sethgobonkers I could see your just starting to get followers. I watch a lot of UA-cam guitar channels, and I see what I think are good things to add, which many channels do not. Plus, too many tubers want to go on jamming on a guitar for a long time, before starting the review, or during it. There is nothing wrong with giving sound samples, letting us hear the guitar, but don’t wander far from the review topic as many do ! That can generate “click outs”, which is detrimental to your algorithm stats. When doing sound examples, be sure to identify which pickup you are on. This is also a great time to check for microphonic noise, bad ground buzz, scratchy pots and switches, etc…While running some simple scales, or just running up and down the neck checking for buzz, pay attention to the string height at different points across the neck. This can tell you if the tension rod needs adjustment, or if the neck may have a twist in it. Some inexpensive guitars are great buys, high quality, but most have to sacrifice quality somewhere to get quality somewhere else. Remember guitar companies have to show a profit on cheap guitars somehow. Sometimes they go cheap in the wrong place, and you pointing it out to them can actually help them, which they will appreciate !
@@MidnightPurple02 great models, not sure in the pickups. Probably some import set nothing crazy. They are supposed to be real alnico V's. I would swap them out for something brighter
I got one of their Little Sister models. The fit and finish is so nice Im stunned. That FFSP is way better than any epiphone made today. Keep rocking!

What about the sound quality and playability? No comment?
It definitely looks nice.

@docf.n.t.2310 much appreciated advise, I will keep these in mind.

Multiple piece bodies are actually less likely to succumb to warping
I didn't know that, great info and other selling point
I just purchased one of these in 2024 and love it. Does anyone know what pickups they use in these LP models now?
@@MidnightPurple02 great models, not sure in the pickups. Probably some import set nothing crazy. They are supposed to be real alnico V's. I would swap them out for something brighter
@@sethgobonkers Yeah, I think I will replace the pickups. Have you ever swapped them before? Do these guitars use a standard size Lp pickup?
@Blipleaf I have yes, pretty sure they are standard lp size. Pretty simple wiring too.
@@sethgobonkers Thank you for the info.
@Blipleaf not a problem man Goodluck and enjoy
Love how these "fanbois" trash others stuff no matter how good it is. Keep paying Gibson 20× more than its worth.
Even upgrading the electronics your not going to come anywhere near the price of the OVERPRICED Gibsons
Fireflies are great instruments. All tho i un like Barry marry i dont own 32. But uhhh yeah anyway they are awesome. Rock it like you stole it.
