First line up of jupiter was basically Versailles with a different Vocalist (Zin). So you got Hizaki (gtr), Teru (gtr), Masashi (bs), Yuki (Dr). Versailles were on hiatus as they felt they'd run out of material for the theme (the extremes of aesthetics and beauty). Kamijo went solo and the others formed Jupiter to explore other musical ideas. Much more aggressive guitars and a more western sound.
this is Visual kei Band , wikipedia Visual kei is a movement among Japanese musicians, that is characterized by the use of varying levels of make-up, elaborate hair styles and flamboyant costumes, often, but not always, coupled with androgynous aesthetics, similar to Western glam rock.

If you like the neo-classical twin guitar shreddage and all those little lick fills, they are masters of that. "Silent Knight" "Ascendead Master" "Rose," their music is as epic as the costumes.

Hizaki is a winner of Japan's best cross dresser. But it does not take away from him also being one of the best guitarists in the country as well. However I like the Versailles sound more than the Jupiter sound.

Yeah as a few already told you that is a very common thing in most Visual Kei Bands to look like Anime but Also very androgynous just like the GazettE does it and GazettE in particular does it to show that it doesn't matter if you are a Female or Male because both can play and shred amazingly in the Metal/Rock Genre and also to make clear that Rock/Metal is not only for Males and that's exactly what i love about Visual Kei Bands that they stand up for equality in the Metal/Rock Genre and even Uruha back in 2012 could completely fool you because he looked very feminine back then 😁

I would love to see a reaction to one of the other godfathers of Visual Kei Buck-Tick. They are from the same era as X-Japan but I find they tend to have a less metal sound most of the time, with more of an alternative rock, post punk and new romantic edge to the sound. The one thing I truly dislike about Teru and Hizaki (quitarists) is that they how absolutely zero emotion when they play (live or recorded). It annoys me no end. Miyaki from Lovebites is the same way, but she does it because she is a bit of an introvert.
