Oh my, Scrapper looks like he walked out of a Studio Trigger anime, i kinda love those proportions on him
No parts forming for combiner mode… I’m so in for these! The engineering is amazing.
Pretty sure avoiding partsforming is the whole reason the arm and leg bots were swapped
Not to mention that it's $25 per bot in China and $40 each shipped to the west (2 pack is $80). So cheap for MP scaled figures with diecast!

scrapper as an arm? Fascinating. Wonder if this devy has some scramble city action to it...
Only problem is regarding Long Haul and Hook. Those two form the torso, so how would they go about that? Would it only be the limb bots that can Scramble City or would it be all 6? Come to think of it, I would actually love to see someone do a third party Devastator where all 6 Constructicons can become a leg, an arm, the lower body, or the upper body of Devastator. A 6 way scramble city combiner.
no scramble city. these two only become arms and Bonecrusher + Scavenger will only become legs. There are prototype pics of most of them already and a decent amount of information in a thread on TFW2005
I saw concept photos. Hook and Long Haul are staying as is.
Scrapper and Mixmaster are the arms. Bone Crusher and Scavenger are the feet.
I think it works better that way.

Not exactly scramble city but these combine with a Mecha Invasion Grimlock as well. There are prototype images of that combo out there if you search for it. Def different.
Mix and Scrap for arms? Let them cook, I say.
I love both of those figures. The robot modes are clean, well proportioned and highly articulated, the transformation is simple, graceful and effective and the vehicle modes are spot on for what they should be.
Full marks, 10/10.
G1 accuracy is straight out the window in all modes though
So? They look recognizable as Scrap and Mix either way so I really do not care much.

Very, very, very tempting to pre order. I have to see what studio 0 has in wait for us all..but by far the articulation is perfect and the ratchets are all their love the sound of those joints
Interesting to see integrated hands on what I assume are original designs to these characters. One stores in the chest and one stores in the back of their robot modes.
Very impressed with these figures and excited to see the rest of the team and Devastator!

Simple but effective transformations, interesting that they switched limbs. Love love using scrappers bucket as feet, great use of kibble

Yep, and they have the treads faced down as the bottom of the feet and it looks different and great. More substancial looking feet than other Devastators. They'll also combine with a Grimlock to form Devastatsaur... er Dinostator?
Gotta say these are pretty cool. I like G1 but putting a spin on Devastator like this is awesome. Too bad I'm a legend scale collector.

I would love for this company to make an unofficial Menasor that looks like it, but at the same time different.
They made this Devastator combine with Grimlock, so what would Menasor combine with? Ultra Magnus? Skyfire?
I have often felt that G1 Devastator would be more cohesive if they swapped the arms and leg bots. Bonecrusher and Scavenger would also make more sense as legs because they have those uniform treads to use as feet. Also, clean and simple transformations with highly articulated figures? I will definitely keep an eye on the release of this set.
A bulldozer and excavator are smaller than a front loader and cement truck.
@@DiggitySlice Have you seen Bruticus? He has a jeep for one leg, a tank for another, and a space shuttle for an arm. I don't think that real world scale accuracy has been a concern for classic Transformers.

Idk why but i wanna see a scramble city devastator where all members can turn into any peice. Like scrapper and mixmaster are the torso and upper body, hook is an arm, longhaul is a leg, bonecrusher is the other arm, and scavenger is the other leg

Both reminds me about some first 3rd party toys in 2014-15 like toy world. They do have that vibe but with modern engineering.
Dang, that's one cool Mixmaster figure. Although I've never seen him as an arm before. I'm more familiar to him being a leg.

@@TheDarkSparkVault Hook is the head and Long haul is the torso. There will also be a driller constructicon and Grimlock to form an alternative Devastator. So it's an 8 figure set if you want them all.

As much as I love the G1 figures Mixmaster and scrapper being arms makes a little more sense
$70-ish for TWO figures. MP scale. Mind-blowingly simple transformation. Good articulation. No parts forming. There’s gotta be a catch!
The catch is that they're not G1 aesthetic in the slightest, and not everyone likes a simple transformation. Some people consider the transformation of a _transformer_ to be an actual feature and not just an inconvenience to getting between two modes
@@DiggitySlice I agree it's not G1 but as someone with a toon accurate MP collection, this one is tempting.
And some people prefer a refreshingly simple conversion scheme so that it doesn't take about 20 minutes of delicate maneuverung to change how its displayed.
You can have fun transformations that aren't afternoon commitments.

I love the new all-in-one combiners from 3rd parties, but what a weird choice to swap the legs and the arms (presumably, maybe Hook and Long Haul will form the legs now)
Nope, Hook and Long Haul still form the body. Also, can you name another 3rd party combine that has no partsforming?
Engineering wise, its not very hard (its not like some black magic stuff like newage, magic square ect). Its very friendly, i wonder if its going to be slightly affordable
They are huge, but the transformations are basically combiner wars level. That is pretty low end for a MP scale.

Your usual excellent video! These are quite tall and a unique reversal. Those rachets are insane. So aka scavenger & bone crusher will be the legs? Long Haul and Hook will change places too? Cant wait for your videos on those.
Hard to wrap my mind seeing Scrapper and mixmaster as arms. It’s just not devastator. Maybe a distant cousin or lost long brother?

No, Hook is still the head. Long Haul is the torso. Or alternatively, Grimlock will be the head and torso.

Not another series, just their own unique design. They will combine with a Grimlock as well.

They look so nice, until I see they don't have articulated hands, PASS!!! What a shame that they do not push 1 step further.
They are so cheap, I would buy a hand upgrade kit for them. Bombusbee is selling both as a set for $61 before shipping.

Those ain't Scrapper & Mixmaster, they're Snipper & Blender.
Combined mode elbow bend is very limited, not even 90 degrees. Scrapper looks awkward around the torso, to stretched out, also his feet look ridiculous. They should’ve had the scoop fold for a flat foot effect.
I guess they are going with a different kind of look making Mixmaster an arm since we didn’t see any scramble city stuff going on.
For a simple transformation and no parts forming for the arm, it's actually very cool
