    In the original episode of "The Cage" the Talosians did take over the Enterprise's computers and prevent them from leaving orbit when Spock decided to abandon Pike, but this scene was edited out of "The Menagerie".
    So his statement of the Talosians taking over the Enterprise like before was not entirely inaccurate and could only be considered non-canon if one is just going by the events shown in "The Menagerie", which is the version most viewers are familiar with.

    Some considered Majel Barret to be Star Trek royalty - so of course she'd use the "royal we" 😂

    Number One's use of "we" isn't a blooper. I've heard similar usages of "we" numerous times during team conversations.
