There is a reason why the world is going trough these times and hopefully once we make it through the other side it will all make sense.
The conversation around the 4B movement after the presidential election has diminished the movement to only the lens of reproductive rights. It reminds me of the co-opting of Reproductive Justice. It’s absolutely more than just access to safe abortions. Place it in context with rates of femicide, domestic violence, sexual abuse, rates of poverty women are experiencing, etc. The Korean movement was a last stitch effort to demand systemic and institutional change. The decision to deny men access is bigger than brokering desirability to get the type of relationship they desire.
Yeah but denying them that desire in the process should feel great and is a movement in itself. If every woman on this planet woke up and said enough is enough every man would rethink treating any woman less than a queen. It starts with us- we set the standard.
I wasn't even depressed I was angry and confused on how people could vote for Trump just based on morals alone. Things in this country took a LEFT when people voted for him the first time. Look at how people started to behave when he took office and where we are now.
I agree. To go from actually having a great time as an American with Obama to Trump’s first presidency felt like we were all dropped off in the hunger games. That was my first taste of what hatred, greed and selfishness looked like at scale, and my mental health never really recovered. He gave every bigot and incel a platform they were too ashamed to publicly stand on before - and they’ve been loud and proud ever since.
@@DawnNa_22 If Obama wasn't such a failure, Trump wouldn't have even had a chance. Obamacare basically makes poor people pay for impoverished peoples health care while not putting any common sense limits on how much they could charge for things. I agree with SO MUCH of what you said, especially the peace part! I kept seeing people complaining about not hearing from Biden and Harris, but I looked up one day an realized how refreshing it was to not be hearing about a PRESIDENT debating people via Twitter or saying stupid things in public.
Okay Steph I see you! Looking gorgeous❤ I’m a Black woman in my 30s and just thinking about another 4 years of hysteria has me in a daze. Thinking about it makes me infuriated so right now I’m opting to process in doses. Idk what I have planned next but it’s gonna be something
This was a really great video 🙂 I share a lot of your sentiments 😞 This election was about more than our likes.. This is about our Democracy.. Not to mention our safety..
Quick comments on sterilization/having kids: 1) Hysterectomies aren't the only form of sterilization. The most common versions are tubal ligation or removal, and reputable health care professionals would lead with those before moving forward with a hysterectomy (that is not medically necessary). 2) Just because a woman is in her early 20s with plenty of reproductive years ahead of her, has nothing to do with whether or not she even *wants* kids.
I’m very disappointed in this country but absolutely not surprised like what did we expect. Not much has changed. People still rooted in their primitive ways and behaviors. I think it’s upsetting that Harris’ bubbly personality is seen as a negative. I find it’s hard for people to take me seriously when I smile, which again is rooted in misogyny if you ask me.😊
The voters punished Kamala for Biden doing nothing for the last 4 years, and for not being elected in a real primary election. If the democrats had put trump in jail for trying to overthrow the government (TRYING TO OVERTHROW THE GOVERNMENT!) we would not even be here. Racism and misogyny may have impacted some people's votes, but arguably all those voters would be going to Trump already.
Same. I didn’t realize this until I questioned my behavior. I come across as “stern” and I never understood why. Then I realized it’s because people had disrespected me and insulted my intelligence so much just because I was friendly and nice. So overtime I gradually became more mean and grumpy (at least on the surface). I command more respect being stern and that’s so very sad

coming from an Eastern European - weeeell.... I wouldn't be so sure. It's just places where there aren't too many migrants. If you come to France or Italy (or Germany, Poland, most of Eastern European countries) you'll probably never feel at home. Places where there are little to none black people among population will treat you with interest and sort of "touristic respect". Places where locals have to live next to migrants from poor countries of African continent are not friendly for the most part. I do genuinely respect you choosing to be a centrist, however I do think it’s important to highlight the difference between extreme right wing people and extreme left wing people. They are two sides of the same coin, but the coin is selfishness. The right is very hell bent on maintaining the status quo of straight white men in power, no matter what. The left is hell bent on getting everyone to be equal, not exactly no matter what, but even if that means those individual leftists lose something. You have a right to have a different political belief system, but it is dangerous to imply that both extremes are just as dangerous. They’re both dangerous to capitalism/the economy but for VERY VERY different reasons.
The look is giving. I really can’t understand why there’s no ring in your finger. There’s something wrong with this world where women on my 1,000 pound life can get a spouse but beautiful and intelligent women have such a hard time. Society is thrown off.

This is enough to jump off a bridge butt, I do have my mom for now during these uncertain time and just believing God is still presence, I'm still pushing through.
Your POV. Yep. I'm just praying this man actually leaves the Whitehouse in 4 years. I'm just numb.
I wasn't even depressed I was angry and confused on how people could vote for Trump just based on morals alone. Things in this country took a LEFT when people voted for him the first time. Look at how people started to behave when he took office and where we are now.
Screw morals, people want things like lower food prices and more affordable rent, lol.
@@WeShareTheSameAfflictionare you being serious?
Seeing Obama now compared to Biden really makes it stand out how Biden did absolutely nothing for 4 years except fuel war with Russia and send unlimited weapons to exterminate Palestinian babies
@@bettemiddler7756 you mean sacrifing children is high morals. You think god is pleased with that.
You get what you voted for. Good luck, America!
Better get passports in the next year.
Sending you love and understanding. I feel a lot of what you said. As a Christian woman, I am ashamed and dismayed that ppl who claim to love Jesus Christ can support such blatant evil.
I also hate when we are told that we are jealous and need to be happy for those woman who are praised to be successful due to their privileges and gets to sit down and be ignorant of that.
I was sobbing election night when I looked at that map and realized I too was in a bubble. I feel so betrayed. I hope they have the four years they wanted because they decided that for all of us.
Betrayed?! By who?! Blacks usually vote democrat and whites usually vote republican. Nobody betrayed you. 🤦🏿♀️
If no one has said this yet, you are not alone. Spiritually I'm with you and have been told I am extreme for my physical and uncontrollable reaction to this election.
Love love the glasses, hate the election results. 💀
Yes! I was hoping you might weigh in on this
Omg I’ve been waitinggg!! 💞
This was a really great video 🙂
I share a lot of your sentiments 😞
This election was about more than our likes.. This is about our Democracy.. Not to mention our safety..
This was an excellent video. One one my favourite ever from you. Thank you 🙏🏿
I’ve been patiently awaiting this video 🫶🏾shout out to the 92!
@ absolutely felt. It’s really a sad reality for us these days because we have to adjust to survive in the shark tank. People see kindness as weakness and lots of folks think ur corny/fake. Now when I go to work I put on that work face, no smile just cut n dry. I’m always happy when I can remove the mask as soon as I clock out 😂 btw ur name is so pretty
Wow. I hesitated to watch this because I’ve been vehemently avoiding all things that even have the potential to be political after the election results…
This perfectly articulated everything I’ve been feeling! It was well thought out and assembled perfectly, sprinkled with bits of humor. This was an outstanding video, thank you Steph!
But people love you just the way you are , Steph 💕💕💕
Four of my friends have left the country. And they all say that the racial discrimination is sooo much less in other places. And they say they’re never coming back. I told my husband we should follow suit. Even going to Canada was a nicer experience
@@BrickCity8919 which countries have they moved to?
coming from an Eastern European - weeeell....
It's wild world out here, you have no idea how lucky you are to live in the US.
@@JmJmmmmm one just moved to Thailand. She started a fertility journey immediately as she said the healthcare there is excellent
Another is in Dubai and is obsessed. She said she feels incredibly safe
Another is in Japan and speaks Japanese fluently. He is a software engineer and is heavily into breakdancing so he has a lot of community and loves the culture
The last one is in Korea. She was actually motivated to move due to her love for all the bands lol. She ended up loving it and never came back

Look up the video called, Why your vote doesn’t count How the electoral college works.
They’re the ones who really choose. They vote this December.
Thank you for your thoughts, you have taught me so much. I'm sorry for the election results, speaking as an Australian. You should move to Melbourne hehe :)))))))
THANK YOU..... SO MUCH....... FOR THIS🙌🏽❤️!!!! You covered every point and all my thoughts and I'm so glad to hear it from you. I'm glad you made this video and didn't question if it was necessary..... IT TRULY WAS! Thank you again and please keep going you are helping so many.
Shout out to the 92% BTW, Steph this is your look! I love this style on you. The glasses, the hair… 10 out of 10! 🤎
i can walk around and know 9.9 times out of 10 a black woman voted for Kamala, now the rest of people i have been side eyeing. like it’s almost like us vs them
Correct me if I’m wrong please but isn’t the 92% only of the people who voted at all? From what I understood half of the population eligible for voting didn’t do it. Or does this number already factor that in?
@@CL-jw4ei you’re correct, 92% of black women who voted were counted, but not really showing the statistics of the country when i know plenty who didn’t vote

Keep posting! Voices like yours are needed more than ever as cliche as it sounds. Honestly, I like this content from you ❤
Thank you for making this video because the level of collective sadness and outright confusion to be honest is real. This is so much more than politics and it takes integrity to talk about it because we all will be subject the decisions of an ignorant few…might as well acknowledge and speak on it!

Love Our Steph: ‘…….at least I’ll get a good story out of it”. Brilliant
You look adorable and I needed this
I love your message to young women at the end. It's an opportunity to turn things around if they recognize it.
I loved and appreciated every word. I've missed you're words and insight. As a young woman months away from her 31st bday. In a blue state that turned red. There is so much emotionally and mentally to think about in these next four years. We showed up for Kamala and I will always be glad to have been on the right side of history. As you said its abpve us now.
I ❤️ listening to you. I like the way you explain things 😊
You never cease to amaze me with your words and your stance. Keep going Stephco
You’re such a great storyteller, Steph. Love your page!!❤

So much love to you and your space to appreciate of art and life as the tools therein have severed us... I'm safe-ish~ so I'll keep in mind that "its above us now," thank you for your therapeutic take on our state of Affairs. ^_^
Needed this video!! I share the same sentiments!!! Thank you!!
I'm a Hispanic woman who considers myself a far left progressive. I believe in things like universal healthcare, more government regulation on big business instead of less etc. I cried when I found out the election results. I wanted Harris to win even though policy wise she is definitely farther to the right than me. I did like somethings she talked about like price gouging. Every progressive I know wanted her to win even though many disliked some of the more conservative campaign choices (touring with the Cheneys). I drove my neighbor to the polls and checked in with old friends that lived in Pennsylvania and.... nothing came of it. I now have moved from sad to frustrated and a bit angry. I want to move forward and instead they are trying to take us back! I have a feeling I'm going to be radicalized if need be because no matter what, I'm personally not f*cking going back!
You look beautiful, Steph. Loving the hair and glasses.
You were on fire! W content ❤

It was a gut punch 😢. WE were the only ones who voted for VP Harris. THEY laughing
Yay! Glad to see another video from you.
This has nothing to do with the video and thank you for your thoughts on the election because I was wondering what they were, may I get a link to this wig or hair or something, looks great 😊. I also was sad the week after the election and I went to work the next day thinking, oh shoot she may have won, and then I found out she didn't 😢.

Stephanie stop saying you never going to be someone wife. U never know what god has in store for you. I used to think i would never get married and have kids too. But when i stopped worrying about it thats when it happened and it happened very quickly too. U never know 2025 might be your year just pray to God and be very specific with what you want.
Not ONE OF THE WITCHES FROM HOCUS POCUS 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I hollered 😂
YESSS hair and glasses! Back to the video lol
The look is giving. I really can’t understand why there’s no ring in your finger. There’s something wrong with this world where women on my 1,000 pound life can get a spouse but beautiful and intelligent women have such a hard time. Society is thrown off.
Yeah Sis, it’s out of our hands now. I personally left the country earlier this year, before Kamala became the nominee. I was 100% behind her, and yes she ran an amazing campaign. After the results though, I’m just happy I’m out of there. Godspeed…
This is a great accompaniment to the Native Pod. This was eloquent and informative 🙏🏾
Great video Steph. Thanks for your perspective ❤
Steph I would hire you as the voice of characters for cartoons, etc in movies ❤ I could see you doing this for sure
I enjoyed this video . Thank you ❤❤
The difference between the far left and the far right is leftists don't elect their crazies
You look so beautiful 💜
Appreciate your voice. 4b is not about whether you were desired in the first place. Decentering men does not require having centered men to begin with. In fact, it is very anti woman to think that because a woman is not “desired”, her voice doesn’t matter. I see it essentially as how I was raised as a girl child in America- focus on yourself, your studies, passions, and communities you care about.
Exactly. Hopefully, Steph will be interested in understanding the movement better.
I love your commentary ❤
