The problem is the Mario Kart 8 engine is literally not programmed to be able to pull that sort of thing off from what I’ve heard. With the shy guys they just added animations and code, for this they’d have to edit how the game does skyboxes and make sure they don’t break all the other tracks in the game.
@@captaineli2461they'd have to change the whole lighting engine since it isnt dynamic. The lighting in this game is set and baked in places. Coconuts mall's cars were just a simple change in code from a 0 to a 1 or from a "false" to "true"

8pm Wilds is definitely an okay track, but I feel like it could be better if they added an animation of the sun setting or something that makes the track progressively darker as the race goes on.
Mario Kart 8 doesn’t have dynamic lighting and the sun is an object just like cones and item boxes, meaning it can’t move on lap count. The only thing they could have done was make the actual sun object move on a timer

Wilds goes quite hard, so sad they removed one word from it’s title. In all honesty this rendition is great, love the more Wacky feeling this gives off, it makes the adventurous feeling feel more fun than it was already.

Holy omg! It started off normal, but then it went into it true form and decided that it was gonna show off it true potential, and im all end for it! Country is in full swing, but oh man. i almost cry after hearing that last part fully orchestrated after decades of listening to the original. The track may not be perfect, but man, im just glad we got to finally hear this song at its maximum potential 👏.

I love that it sounds more wild western and orchestral than the tour one! Also I love the falling action at the end while staring at the sunset and ride home!

Honestly, I really enjoyed the simplicity of this track. They still added a ton of unique quirks making it special. IMO Mario Kart has room for both simple and complex tracks. All the GBA tracks (except for the one in the first wave), were remastered quite beautifully
They just turned the best GBA track into one of the worst track of the game, that's the main issue. I waited one whole year for one of my favorite track ever made, and it's just so disappointing...

You know, I’m surprised no one is not asking themselves questions like these. Why do we LOVE certain Mario Kart Tracks? Well not because of gameplay, but the feeling you get inside. For instance, You are driving in a Pinball Machine, you’re racing in a Maple Forest, you are *snowboarding* down a summit, You race on a track that’s filled with sweets, Heck, you even DRIVE on a Rainbow Road. Sunset Wilds is special because the entire point of the track was that during each lap *The Sun Sets*, if you take away a feature that made the track “ on “ *ICONIC*, It makes it bland and..not as special. But other than that, it’s a bop. ESPECIALLY on 0:47
This remake deserves less hate. Like, stop bitching about something Nintendo can't fix. It's still absolutely gorgeous and beautiful visually, fun to race on, and the remix is one of my favorites in the game. Sure, the "changing into night" gimmick was removed, but there's still so much beauty in this track that it doesn't even ruin it.

Isn't the sun suppose to set even more in Lap 2 and then turn nighttime in Final Lap just like in Super Circuit? Why did they get rid of that gimmick? It's what made this course so unique and live up to its proper name. I hope they make an update for it soon.
