They actually hinted at this very scenario in Jaws 3. The 10 foot Great White that was causing havoc in the newly designed water park was actually still a juvenile and that it's mother, who had just given birth to it inside the water park, was 35 foot. Admittedly Jaws 3 and Jaws 4 were bad (In the writing, acting and special effects), but the idea that these were actually young Megalodon and not Great Whites is both awesome and scary at the same time. I would definitely not want to be in the water with either one lol!
Apparently, Megs can reproduce at a young age, as the novelization for Jaws 2 and the Revenge states that Brucette (Jaws 2) was the mother of Vengeance (The Revenge) and the father was none other than Bruce.
Actually His Dad And Mom Comes When Bruce's Dad Died Which Was The 1ST MEG In THE MEG And The 2ND MEG Was His Mother In The Movie A Shark That Dies Will Be A Sacrifice For Food Resources To The Mate In THE MEG
Makes sense. 1 - baby Jaws, 2, his sister, 3, his mother, and 4, well, that was the puny runt of a brother who evolved with enhanced speed and psionic power rather than size.
His appetite and aggressiveness is explained by his being a Great White shark. Doesn't need to be anything else for that. Besides, now, they suspect Megalodon of being a scavenger.
cool theory :) I personally would tend to think that Bruce was a very old great white that found an easy food source and claimed the territory. The biggest great white I've seen was approximately four metres (13 feet) when your boat is 18 feet you really do feel like you need a bigger boat ;)
Only problem with this theory is that Matt Hooper is a Marine Biologist and wud know wat a Great White looks like and he had a real good look at Bruce! Im just asuming that a baby Meg and a massive white wud look quite abit different to the professional eye!
I don't think Bruce is a megalodon baby.Matt Hooper even said that he is a great white. When his mother came back for revenge , then it is the shark from Jaws the revenge. But that didn't explain the shark from Jaws 3. She was 35 foot long.
The movie was heavily based off the book and at the time that the book was written, it was believed that Great Whites grew into Megalodons. Also, until very recently part of the Megs scientific name was Carcharodon Megalodon. Now compare that to the scientific name of the Great White, Carcharodon Carcharias. They named the Megalodon after the Great White based off of the striking and uncanny similarities between their teeth. The Megalodon should have been more appropriately named Carcharocles Megalodon, which is now its scientific name. I like the idea posited by Aaron 870 Rocket Shark about the multiple births, which when you look at sharks they normally do have multiple pups to a birthing. And if Bruce's mom was a fully grown Meg at anywhere between 40 and 50/60 feet, then is is possible that she could have had 3-5 pups at a time. Also, she could have had another couple of pups a short time later in time for Jaws 3, giving to fact that there's always a larger baby born and a runt in every liter of animals that have multiple live births such as sharks, cats and dogs. The 35 footer could have been the bigger one, and after a number of years grew to the size of 35 feet. There are many species on the planet currently that will continue to grow as long as food supply and available territory is sufficient. Some spiders, many fish, lots of insects, and lots of reptiles and lizards are like this. Who is to say that the Megalodon wasn't such an animal?
Your videos are awesome. I really enjoyed these and maybe you could do more on the sharks from Jaws 2, Jaws 3, Jaws 4 and The Meg? That’d be really good I Hope Yu can. You earned a subscriber
Thanks...I have a rough draft of a concept for a new version of Jaws 3 in mind...I love the idea of a large shark caught in a water park/aquarium and think it should deff be looked at
My theory is along the same lines as yours, but one thing you should have maybe mentioned, was there were 3 other pups besides Bruce and Bruce 2, of course we know about the smaller shark in Jaws 3D, and then the 35 Footer, and then the one that wanted payback in Jaws The Revenge, so what I am thinking is the two Sharks in Jaws 3, when the Smaller one died, the bigger Sister wanted to avenge him, at least I think it was a he, and then She wreaks havoc at Sea world, but then gets killed of course, so now this brings us to Bruce 4, I guess some how it did have a deep connection to the other 4, and their for wanting Revenge, and another thing I thought of was, the small Shark from Jaws 3 was either A Runt or it just did not grow to be the size of the other Sharks, and your theory on the connection from the Mom to her Offspring and that she could be hunting for those that killed the other Sharks, is also A good Theory, and it actually Makes Jaws 4 The Revenge sound less Silly, because the Shark in that Movie is the Vengeful Sibling, if Only there were A Jaws 5, they could finally show the main Mother Shark from this Video, I hope my long Theory did not boor you LOL, I just think it's fun to theorize :), and good Video man.
THank man appreciate it, that is a cool idea that possibly the shark from Jaws 3 was either a big sister or a runt Megalodon, I wish they would remake Jaws 3 into its own movie. The concept of a large great white caught in an oceanic park is awesome and needs to be revisited. Thank you for watching
I have thought about a video on how they should remake the story of Jaws 3 under a new title. I think it would be cool a large aquatic water park that has an immense shark stuck in
Ooooooo! Never thought of that! But even with the abundant food on the Atlantic Plains wouldn't Mother find a much richer source near the coast and stay around?
Bruce was a great white and his mate was the shark in the second movie. Bruce’s granddaughter was the shark in Jaws 3d and in the Revenge it was bruce’s son. Bruce was a fully grown great white.
i always thought that all the sharks were of the same family even if movies 2, 3 and 4 are separate from each other but considering every shark in the films was 25ft with the exceptions of 1 i estimate 10 to 15ft baby and a massive 35ft moma shark from jaws 3 which is just 5ft shy of a megaladons minimum size there probably the only sharks that have a direct connection to their ancestors, or possibly even sharks that haven't evolved like they should have like megaladons that haven't entirely progressed naturally with everything else.
I wonder. If the baby in Jaws 3 was from the meg family, it makes sense Kathryn would want to capture it and nurture it, and it actually gives her character a bit of a cunning and dark side that she would not tell anyone it was a meg when she knew right away after seeing the corpse of Shelby exactly what she was dealing with . . .
Well I’ been reading the comments and have thought about this off and on for a while, and I have also watched a lot of the Discovery channels shark week shows. I missed the race between Michael Phelps and the great White, but I heard it was all CGI!!!! But probably had to be could you imagine Michael Phelps racing a shark in open waters, he’d be Shark food ha ha ha ha!!! For getting back on topic, to answer some of the questions I have seen and read stuff about the Megalodon and yes there is a resemblance between the great White and that shark; but if Hooper had only seen drawings of what Megalodon look like from artists of what they theorise it look like from the big “ JAWS “ in museums, he might mistake it for a great white. But let’s remember, freaks of nature have happened from time to time and this could’ve been a monster was looking to attack man because it lost its domain of the seas and wants to show them that it’s still powerful than them.
While an interesting theory, which by the way I thoroughly enjoy. But I have two issues, first Hooper says quite clearly after they examine the Tiger Shark the fishermen caught that it was a Great White, secondly Megs and Great Whites are not in the same genus the closer relative to the Meg is the Mako which Bruce is not. Second the shark in part 2 couldn't have been mom so to speak as a full grown Meg would have been around the size of a school bus, Bruce 2 wasn't.
She could have made more pups out there, could the new Meg movie be one of the last baby meglodons in the Jaws Franchise that we never got to see but now?
Also The Shark in Jaws is not a Megladon. Great Whites have been reported to be 20 to even 27feet in length. Also in both films and the book it's been reported a great white so there :)
At the end it is actually similar to what happened in Jaws two except different in Jaws two Bruce’s mate came for revenge g do or Brody for killing Bruce
Or could have also been the shark from Jaws the Revenge cuz that one looked old but the only thing that was not of been in common with Bruce is that the shark was in Jaws the Revenge is only 27 ft which is two more feet than the shark from Jaws.
But they found teeth in the jaws series that hooper said were great white teeth. I think he of all people whould know if it was from a unkown specie or extinct specie.
I’ve always entertained the theory that Bruce was a mutation. He looks nothing like an average great white and his strength, speed, size, and intelligence is remarkable. What do you think?
I suppose that Bruce could be a baby Meg. I say could due to the physical differences in appearance of a Great White and a Meg. Though a Meg is a distant relative of a Great White, they were not identical. Hooper would have known the differences when he found the tooth. Though he did not have it long enough to run an analysis, he would have had a more solid answer after his encounter with Bruce. As for the revenge theory, that one is kind of flawed. Numerous sources have said that it was not just the shark taking revenge, rather, Helen Brody as well. Still grieving the loss of Martin at the time of Sean's death, Helen was pushed over the edge after Bruce 4 attacked Thea. JAWS 3 was more or less ignored; retconned after the flop that it was. As is made evident by Sean no longer fearing water, Michael now being a Marine biologist. If you wanted to get even more technical, we need look no further than the novels. JAWS plays out completely different than the film. The deaths of certain characters, I.E.- Hooper and Quint differ greatly, even the death of the shark itself. Onto JAWS 2. The shark in that book, much like the original novel, is said to be a rather large Great White. Though this shark, a female is pregnant. Hence her increased appetite.
It's also been theorized that Bruce was a female as well. Remember, Bruce was a name given to the animatronic shark used for the film, not to any of the sharks themselves.
If I may give a bit of unsolicited friendly advice, you might get more views with more descriptive titles. Most people don't know who "Bruce" is. Like with your "Arachnophobia: General" video, it wouldn't hurt to put JAWS in the title. (love your well thought out and researched content btw)
You know that theory would explain a lot as baby sharks do stick in certain areas where it can get food so it can grow to a suitable size for it have a fighting chance out in the deeper waters and they would be bold so hence why Bruce attacked boats too
In jaws 2 we see Bruce's brother scar face in jaws 3D we see the baby shark and 30ft mama and jaws the revenge we see... I don't the shark's name in that one but I do know that in jaws 2 the shark's name is scar face and jaws 3D is mama and her died in aquarium baby
That theory would be fun bit for one major problem. Hooper. Hooper discovered one of Bruce's teeth in the side of a wrecked boat. And was able to identify the species of shark as being a charcarius charcardon, a great white. Whilst great whites and megalodon are distant relatives. There teeth shape are slightly different. And so.eone who works at the national geographic, a marine biologist, and a shark enthusiast would be able to tell the difference.
BH Pumpkinclaw, I love your chanel so much. Don`t you know- biggest shark in Jaws franchise was Brucetta, 35 ft. So maybe you`re right. But as I think Bruce was like Indominus rex- unstable animal, he attacks not to eat, but just to show that he is Boss here. You maybe will ask- Why?. Lookhe kill only Central creatures like Eursary and Alex Kintner, he is main in this waters. I know that it`s sounds stupid. Can you make wideo about Pianhas from Piranha 1978, Croc from Lake Placid and Rouge, and Anaconda from Anaconda, that will be cool. Good luck)))
I like this scenario... Jaws needs a good writer to step up and do a serious new adaptation. Use a new technology to make a practical giant remote controlled shark... another more realistic version of Bruce for close ups..... and some good characters... not just some random people, but like the original, real characters... with good backstory and maybe decent dialogue..... not that you can ever recapture the U.S.S Indianapolis story Quin told .... but something that gives the people weight.
till this very day I hate both jaws the revenge and jaws 3 idk how bruce is a baby megalodon before my mom passed away I was going to read the meg series by steve alten but never got the chance to read those books
This theory is invalidated by the book(s). Bruce is a great white. Just a very old one with a more developped territorial instinct (as he gets older, he starts to stay near the same waters) .He migrated from south, as some great whites do (as the one from the Jersey shores attacks did) along with a female which he impregnated near Amity shores. Then Bruce was killed (Jaws), and not long after, the female gave birth to a baby shark. By protective instinct, she attacked almost everything alive around Amity and then was also killed(Jaws 2). The shark from Jaws 4 is technically the baby from Bruce and the female. It does makes sense that he would naturally stay around or migrate to Amity. Then it gets weirder since he's supposed to be possessed by a voudou wizard that makes him want revenge against the brody family... By this point, nothing really makes sense ^^ The female from Jaws 3 (and her baby) is not officially related to Bruce but she could be another child or another chick he got pregnant (Bruce was a ladies-shark ^^). Its not impossible that there would be several sharks like Bruce or that its offspring would stick around Amity. Its really unlikely that they would ALL attack Brody's ^^ Even by Jaws standards, Bruce is still an animal with little feelings.
A possibility it is a baby meg but his mother maybe another big great white.in the movie jaws 3 we saw a 35 foot long shark . Maybe a baby meg but also another great white. I say it is a huge great white which no one has ever seen but if not then it means that megalodon sharks are still alive in the abyss
Actually it is Canon that Bruce from jaws is not a megalodon he was the father and then when he died his mate in jaws two went after the Brody family she died so the daughter went after which also became a mother which died so the son out of pure anger tried to do his best but got cocky and died
They actually hinted at this very scenario in Jaws 3. The 10 foot Great White that was causing havoc in the newly designed water park was actually still a juvenile and that it's mother, who had just given birth to it inside the water park, was 35 foot. Brucetta
The shark in jaws the revenge is the baby from jaws and jaws 2
I thick Bruce being a baby Meg is fascinating, but I have always been of the thought that Bruce was a freak of nature
This is an awesome concept! Sounds like a much better take on Steve Alten's Meg and its origins. I always thought of Jaws as a juvenile meg, too.
Apparently, Megs can reproduce at a young age, as the novelization for Jaws 2 and the Revenge states that Brucette (Jaws 2) was the mother of Vengeance (The Revenge) and the father was none other than Bruce.

Nice Shark it's a Megalodon Carcharodon Megalodon Monster Killer Shark she Looks Still Alive

The Lake Placid Crocodile would be cool and the Piranhas too. Appreciate the feedback and thank you for your support
BH Pumpkinclaw you deserve more buddy, you are my favorite channel )))
That's an interesting question. Where the shark's in two and three siblings? Aunt's/uncle's? Only the imagination is the limit.
What if the meg and jaws are connected
They aren't
Sharks have extremely long lifespans. Maybe ALL Great Whites are baby Megs.
What if the shark from
*JAWS*
The revenge was the shark
Was way bigger than bruce
No the revenge was smaller
Who decided it was Bruce?
Bruce a Stunted Species of the thought to be extinct Megalodon 🤔😂
Bruce was mechanical! His mother lived or lives in a movie studio. If you think megladon, they lived in warm water!
Yup baby meg and I think his mom is searching around
Can someone tell me why everyone calls the shark “Bruce” is it mentioned in the movie?
Spielberg named the shark Bruce after his lawyer, never official just how people refer to the shark
I think she lives in the mariana trench
Great great grandson to Otodus.Obliquus.
Check out the shallows film.
Sharktapus franchise.
Itsy bitsy spider film.
Piranha 3D.
Deep blue sea film.
Behemoth film.
Its a great white not a megalod
It's just a what-if theory
remember fish are friends not food
till this very day I hate both jaws the revenge and jaws 3 idk how bruce is a baby megalodon before my mom passed away I was going to read the meg series by steve alten but never got the chance to read those books
TheReturnOfRobertELee Most random thing I ever read
Pat Star no the best book ever made TheReturnOfRoberyELee go read those books they are the best
Sorry from your lost 🙏🙏 🙏
Soooo, Peter Griffin had it right..... Bigger Jaws....🤣
The 35 foot shark from Jaws 3 D
It literally says in the movie he is a great white
By this point, nothing really makes sense ^^
The female from Jaws 3 (and her baby) is not officially related to Bruce but she could be another child or another chick he got pregnant (Bruce was a ladies-shark ^^).
Its not impossible that there would be several sharks like Bruce or that its offspring would stick around Amity. Its really unlikely that they would ALL attack Brody's ^^ Even by Jaws standards, Bruce is still an animal with little feelings.
I thought this was talking about Nemo
A possibility it is a baby meg but his mother maybe another big great white.in the movie jaws 3 we saw a 35 foot long shark . Maybe a baby meg but also another great white. I say it is a huge great white which no one has ever seen but if not then it means that megalodon sharks are still alive in the abyss
Yea were the mother and were the father
Megalodon but eating humans
He probably is a baby megalodon
His mother was the shark from jaws 3
It could be meg
Actually it is Canon that Bruce from jaws is not a megalodon he was the father and then when he died his mate in jaws two went after the Brody family she died so the daughter went after which also became a mother which died so the son out of pure anger tried to do his best but got cocky and died
Yea Bruce mom had a date with Jason Stathem xD
