That honestly could work, Julia could still steal Damian’s idol, But protect Damian just so he has a sense of security of him being safe, while still giving Priya a good elimination and giving Damian a need to actually try a lot more due to him not having the idol
I think Julia actually wanted Priya gone in that episode, but Priya, Caleb, Wayne, and Raj all voted for Damien. Unfortunately, Julia had absolutely no way to take Priya out in that situation.

I literally cried when I saw TWO OF THESE CHALLENGES being clearly inspired by Squid Game 😭 Also literally so glad that Wayne won. After him and Raj were kicked last time for injuries, and after they were left as some of the only characters that stayed really likable, it was amazing that they got to win (and Wayne definitely gave Raj some money to take Bowie on a super fancy romantic date- which was probably just to see a hockey game- and nobody can tell me otherwise)
Its good that they didn't make jokes about Zee's disability, but rather his natural kindness and him not wanting someone elses feelings shattered. Good job Fresh TV

I wish we got to see more strategic gameplay out of Bowie this season. I feel like if he was more chaotic and left more of an impact, he’d easily be in my top 3 this season.
Priya making it far did make sense (unless you count the fourth episode but that was still a toss up) since (besides episode 4) other characters did more egregious stuff that put them on the chopping block (Zee spilling secrets, Damien and Nichelle crossing Julia (as well as Bowie from the last season plus his bad reputation despite being less worse than Julia), Caleb’s slight deceit despite his change of heart, Rixel being Geoff and Bridgette all over again, etc.). Campers taking more into consideration in the marshmallow ceremony than eliminating strong competitors like actual integrity and manners from what I think is more than other seasons definitely helped her go far.
Priya making it so far whilst other character were getting eliminated with bullshit excuses / writing (Scary Girl, Nichelle, Emma, Zee, Damian) made me fume
My problem wasn’t Priya making this far, but how they stretched the plot with Caleb till episode 12. I would’ve made them fight for the alliance with Julia after their initial reconciliation and then, after a final closure, Julia cuts Caleb out somehow and Priya ranks 4th going without him, all alone against her enemy. Put Raj instead of MK, Caleb instead of Damien, Wayne instead of Raj and make MK reach the finale, when she’ll spend most of the time trying to take Julia down with her and viceversa…until Damien wins. That would’ve been 👌 to me
This run of episodes was great, thanks to AS and PI I was worried that they were gonna fumble the bag again thanks to the double 13 episode format, but this time it actually felt like the end product was actively better thanks to not being a single long season. Gonna suck not having new TD content for the next few years. But this was a great note to end the reboot on
So, not a critique really but just some genuine confusion towards this video and pretty much all the others who watched this season and had massive negative take-aways from the Caleb and Priya stuff. Why does everyone think that Caleb was *ever* being malicious in his efforts to have an alliance with Priya? I watched this season twice now and both times I never noticed a single point where early on Caleb was trying to do anything that was generally manipulative in a romantic light. He wasn't trying to pull an Alejandro where he used his charm to make them fall for him despite not having feelings, he was trying to just have a good person to rely on knowing that they were both strong competitors. It's even played as a gag in one of the confessionals that Caleb just truly did not realize what he was doing and only saw it as a great alliance, only then to develop feelings after and realize what his situation was truly like. Every review I have seen has this view on Caleb like he went out from the beginning trying to manipulate Priya, when, that just never happened? He is just a bit of an airhead at points and wasn't aware enough to see that it was more romantic inclination he started feeling and that she had bottled up too.
Yeah I agree, he had made it clear to the audience that he just wanted an alliance. The campers hating him though does make sense since they didn't know about that after Caleb did develop feelings, and He and Priya kissed. I think what made me mad about this though is how easily this could've been communicated by him, and how he continuously fumbles for the rest of the season.

It’s a bit frustrating with the back and forth, but it was made clear when watching the show that Caleb was never being malicious, bro is just an airhead and times and can be dense. I personally really enjoyed his character and think a lot of people just glossed over the great aspects of it.
It's definitely an issue with how the characters view what happened vs what actually happened. Caleb never says he wasn't manipulating Priya despite the fact he could have defended himself by saying he was looking for a friend and alliance to start with, before developing feelings for her. The way the characters treat it as a manipulation and betrayal with no counter argument makes it easy to forget that's not actually how Caleb played it
I was really happy Wayne won, Julia didnt receive the worst punishment out of any of the villians, and no one cares for the other guy (who didnt get a bad ending). I hope they get a new season cause I could see them doing a season with new campers and then getting a new AS season with a combination of this 2 season and for some sort of season lowkey a character from pakitew cause they know its one of the weakest seasons
Was hoping to see Raj get a narrative where he learns to be confident in himself since he’s the sidekick of the hockey bros duo. Happy for Wayne but really want nothing more than to see Raj step out of his shadow. Hoping we get a season 3 where Raj gets his turn to shine with a major arc and we hopefully get Raj x Bowie as the focus couple of the season for once too! I think it would be really good! It’s just because of the timing of the season. With only 13 episodes, it was really excruciating to see so much time being taken up by that one plot point which is good but not crazy interesting. The two characters are cool and it’s a good plot, it just overstayed its welcome. I haven’t seen anyone against the plot as a concept, people are just mad it went on for so long.
I was really expecting to dislike it going in (especially because I really liked the relationship between Priya and Millie) but Caleb was a sweet character with a compelling arc about using then falling in love with Priya, then reacting to that getting exposed after his feelings had changed. At most, I'd say I wish they'd emphasised his competitiveness over his goody-two-shoes-ness (it would fit his initial characterisation, his relationship with Priya, and better explain his deal with Julia) but honestly this show has done SO much worse with shipping. As in the video, in another season, Priya x Caleb would be a highlight.
My only two changes to the season is just to swap Bowie and Nichelle eliminations and to swap Priya and Damien elimination. For Nichelle, just make her eliminated due to being a comp beast and a shit social player instead of the fake contract. Another thing I would change is just who wins immunity in some episodes, because some of them just feel like plot armor.
I actually really align with your takes! MK & Julia were easily the best part of the season for me and I loved Wayne and Raj and Bowie too, so I was firmly team Skunk Butt. And I basically didn’t internalize most of what happened on the other team unless Julia got involved lol. That also made it easier for me to stomach the Caleb and Priya plot because it was mostly disconnected from everyone I was actually caring about until later on. I don’t mind that Priya made it far again because she is very capable and she is a fun character. And Caleb going farther was fine too - I just wanted his personality to be more consistent. Loved the point about Wayne carrying on the humor of the show as the rest of the final four were much more serious or plot driven characters. And while I was rooting for Julia, I was very satisfied with a Wayne win! The finale was really strong as far as character moments go and them bringing back everyone as helpers really enhanced that. Also there’s something I just inherently love about a double confessional - so everytime we got Julia and MK or Wayne and Raj or even Axel and Ripper (who I didn’t hate as a pairing tbh) it made me smile. I haven’t rewatched the first reboot season (and tbh it wasn’t that long ago when I first watched it but it feels like longer) but I currently personally enjoyed the second season slightly more - it gave me pretty much everything I was looking for, was an easy and enjoyable watch, and felt less gross out to me. The official release schedule is frustratingly bad, but I loved the community coming out of the woodwork to share and discuss and watch the leaked episodes together. And yes I would definitely watch your video on other Total Drama seasons like RR.

I was also surprised by the lack of Raj and Bowie moments on the show, I understand Bowie on the first season did try to not focus on their relationship after they kissed and that they should wait until after the season. But like atleast a goodbye kiss or something (I did like how he hugs him after winning the challenge when he pretended not to cheat, or their banter on the last episode)
I hope they finally get to be the main couple of a season if we get a season 3. Their relationship has SO MUCH to explore. It would even finally get us that Raj development and narrative that I think he’d be perfect for and hopefully Raj could still end up being a finalist to full show he’s unique and different than Wayne.
as an MK fan since S1 started airing, I gotta say this season was pure bliss for me lol. Never expected to see her get so far into the game and even tho she didn't made it to the finale, I am so happy to see how much content we got from her in the end and how good her character was. These 2 seasons have to be among my favorites from the entire series tbh, from start to finish they were so good and funny to watch. Every character was actually real good and left a great impact in the end, hopefully we get more TD content in the future (whether it's another sason or a Ridonculous Race) 'cause this was really good

S1 was soo much better then S2. The start of the season was great, but the Love-drama was exhausting, main villain had too much plot armor, characters who had a plot were shafted for either the Prileb drama or the comic relief, and the winner who not only was predictable (anyone who thought it was a shocker need to see a doc), but had zero plot relevance all season. Say what you want about Owen or Beth, but they had plot relevance in their respective season. What a disappointing end to a season that could have been great.
This season was on track to be one of my favourites, but that last third or so soured my opinion of it. Its such a shame because the earlier portion of this season was laying a really good groundwork i think.
Honestly, the reboot was a fantastic move for the series because it let the whole thing calm down and just be more chill, which makes you want to root for everyone more. The stakes don't need to be massive; they need to be personal, and we got that! Millie and Priya's friendship breaking down in the S1 finale had me the most invested in Total Drama I've ever been. As Millie learnt to love Priya, she actually started improving herself. As Priya learnt to doubt Millie, she actually started prioritising her own wellbeing. They were what each other needed, they were each other's first friend, and their flaws naturally brought the other down. That's good drama, baby! Priya x Caleb is a bit of a repeat but the moment of Zee needing to confess that Caleb was using Priya right as Caleb actually fell in love with her? Great use of characters doing what's right but still colliding over it! Then, you also get Bowie's competitiveness vs. Raj's earnestness. You get Julia and MK finding allies in each other, making both of them more interesting and likeable. Yeah, the challenges were simpler but the flow of conflicts and strategies was clear to follow while giving you good, character-driven twists. Even when they do dumb things, you're shouting "Oh course they'd do that!" rather than "Why would they do that?!". The opposing team refusing to shoot Wayne before Raj blasts him with a t-shirt cannon was just perfect. Of course no-one else could shoot the loveable Wayne. Of course Raj knew Wayne would want the t-shirt 😂 It's impossible to compare any season to TDI because the original's tone was just so different. TDWT was a cumulation of characters with high highs of development and strategy, but with some low lows of the shipping and treatment of the side cast. TDROTI had a fantastic cast but some bumps along the way. So, TDIR might be my favourite seasons of Total Drama as a complete, quality package. Sure, there are ways they could be better but I have very little to actually complain about.
I hope that if theres a season 3 they change up the character dynamics some. I like the idea of seeing Priya get more aggressively competitive to the point that she starts acting like a villain, and i want to see Bowie trying to be a more fair player while still getting treated like a villain. I think theres also room to actually show Axel as a serious player rather than having her constantly job to other players in physical games. Seeing Damien not piss his pants at every challenge reveal would also be nice as well, and obviously a character arc about Chase realizing that its his own fault that Emma doesnt like him and either having him accept it or change instead of just having it be a running joke would be nice as well. Theres still potential for this cast.
Zee wouldve been a better winner than Wayne. There's actual grounding of everyone liking him, and him mostly flying under the radar, but having some great skills that could get him far. Just have Wayne find out about the secretz then spill it and get out in Episode 8. This also gives Raj more time to be on his own. The elim order could be. 8. Wayne 7. MK 6. Damien 5. Priya 4. Raj 3. Caleb 2. Julia 1. Zee
They shouldn’t have made Julia the villain twice because it ruined Nichelles potential. Nichelle had true potential to be this seasons competition beast but the writers thought it would’ve been a better idea to reuse Julia as a villain..😐
to ME (and i said this on reddit) what genuinely irked me was a lot of things characters were doing OFF CAMERA! why didn't we SEE Julia tell the rat faces that bowie thought of the cheating idea, or see her take the invincibility statue. again I blame Caleb n Priya for taking screentime from everyone. but that leaves only time to have the campers focus more on the challenges and not dynamics. S1>>>S2
the cynical part of me believes that we don't see Julia do things like convince everyone Bowie was the one who wanted to cheat and forging the script/contract for Nichelle because if they actually showed these things happening, they wouldn't be able to just gloss over how everyone instantly believed Julia, who they know to be a lying, deceptive snake, and how she managed to forge an entire Hollywood contract/script that fast.
They didn't show Julia take the idol because it would have made it way more obvious than it already was that Damien was going home and Julia was making it to the finale.
If you put these 3 in a Survivor Final Tribal Council, I could see Wayne getting the jury votes to win. He is the modern Total Drama parallel to Gabler: goofy but great social game.
This season has the best finnaly in my opinion and Wayne was the perfect choice for the winner. Also i just realised some thing. Since Wayne wasn't voted out last season but had to leave due to his injuries and because he won this one, That means that Wayne is the only member of this cast that has not been voted out before.

I liked this season 2. I actually didn't have any real problems with it, either. Besides maybe swapping the 4th and 5th place eliminations. I feel like you should reconsider your script though. It felt like there were a few too many times where you'd allude to something that's seemingly part of the section of the video, only to say "we'll get back to that later" that it just makes the video seem disjointed in some spots.
The fact this season finished 4 month ago and the other season leaked in January of last year and still hasn’t aired this show was set up to offical the main total drama page said it’s going to mostly rely on streaming and cable ratings for the renewal while 95% of the people that were interested in this when it was announced 3 years ago watched it a year and a half ago it’s a shame this nearly perfect season was sabotaged
I honestly think the reboot cast is some of the best contestants we've ever had in Total Drama. If I had to pick my least favorite boy and girl it would probably have to be Chase and Millie (season 1 Millie not season 2 Millie). I don't hate either of them though, I just liked everyone else more. In my opinion season 2 blew season 1 out of the water. Just think about season 1 again, it had a fart dedicated episode and a vomit dedicated episode. Chase and Millie, my 2 least favorite characters in the reboot, made it really far in season 1 but were early boots in season 2. Julia and MK are my 2 favorite character in the reboot and they had major plot importance in season 2. I literally think my only criticism in season 2 is that Priya and Caleb got a little too much screentime for my liking, although I'm actually totally fine with their storyline and being a couple. I'm really trying to think of something that season 1 did better but I just can't. Overall, I would definitely put the Reboot seasons up there with Island and World Tour because I thought they were that good. I am so unbelievably happy that after all this time we finally got new Total Drama and that it was actually good!!
I love Priya and Caleb as a pair; they’re both exactly my type, and I love how much of a puppy Caleb is compared to her. Unfortunately their plot basically took up the whole season, when the perfect romance they could have focused on-MK and Julia-was way more interesting.
Throughout the vid. , I agree that Caleb and Priya's romance has been too much screentime. This kinda hurt Julia's narrative in this season since she is a great competitor since she's the one who eliminated Priya (and probably one of the only contestant to have the most immunity, including past contestants like Heather, Duncan etc.) and what hurt Julia's narrative is that she became predictable once she became the only girl that is standing on their way (starting when MK was eliminated). Maybe I'm reminiscing Heather's dynamic with Alejandro in WT, and that's why I think Julia's character gets a bit boring in this season (since no one can face her demeanor like what Bowie did back in S01) and her and Caleb's fight in the finale was not working with me since Caleb was not working for me as a kind guy in his interior. Wayne winning was awesome since the Hockey Bros. redeemed themselves than in S01!

Unpopular opinion: Wayne was a better winner than Owen to their respective seasons. Both of them were floaters but at least Wayne played fair in comparison to Owen who cheated.
wayne was in the same team with julia and MK who cheated, and never did anything so therefore wayne is also guilty for the cheating for knowing and doing nothing
It’s a bottom 2 season for me. I really REALLY cannot stand the comedic relief character winning after doing nothing all season long. Priya and Caleb storyline was just druggg out and didn’t leave room for underdeveloped characters from season 1 to develop even further here. MK is really the only one who got that opportunity(and Caleb obviously) More wasted potential with Scary Girl, unsatisfying eliminations like with Nichelle, Axel and Ripper were given the Geoff and Bridgette treatment but we weren’t given the grace of them being early boots and had to watch them for half the season do absolutely nothing. I’m just not a fan of the season if you couldn’t tell lol
Mediocre imo. I am somewhat happy Wayne won but i still struggle with Damien getting robbed...and he is alot smarter than Wayne. My biggest disappointment was the lack of romance between Wayne and Julia.... or at least a kiss.

FULL THOUGHTS ON THE REBOOT BELOW Yeah, I think it's mid overall. Both seasons. There are ofc characters I love (Bowie, Damien, Julia, MK, Wayne & Raj being the only consistently good ones imo) and I like the new things added to the elimination ceremony. But so many challenges feel samey, most of the character arcs are either cliché or underwhelming, and I especially hated how Praleb was the main plot of the 2nd season and it not even coming to a satisfying close. Even Gwent in Island was better. I think these seasons needed more time in the oven to live up to its hype and potential. Lots of good ideas here and I'm glad SOME of them lived up to the hype. But it's hard not to imagine what could've been. I give both seasons a 6/10
Raj and Damien were robbed of their development and arcs that wouldve been so perfect. PRAYING we get that in a season 3 and the boys finally get their chance to shine.

I think the season lacks character development and characters staying too long... with exception if MK, Priya and Caleb no one really had any character development and with exception of those three and Julia no one had an genuine plot worth watching

I’m really glad you were able to enjoy this season. But I just see so many more great ways this season could have been and how this season handlement (idek if that’s a word) could have been way better. Because I LOVED the start. But that ended being in my opinion terrible. I find that this season could have worked if things were tweaked. Like making the hockey bros not dumb as season 5 Lindsay. Or Priya and Caleb’s plot line that no one cares about having Caleb and Zee swapped in placements. I’ll just say Bowie leaving early left a huge dent and hole. I understand he had to leave early. Total drama usually has only 1 person from their final 4 make it there again in the next. But I think that he left a missing dent. I’m not saying change that. That’s just something I noticed, THIS IS THE START OF MY CHANGES TO MAKE THE SEASON BETTER IMO. I do think that this dent could have been fixed by giving the Priya and Caleb story less screen time because it had no progression I swear. Just have them kiss in the final 8 episode then send Caleb home so Zee can stay! giving the space to Wayne and Raj progression. Maybe make them smarter by trying to make them learn? I think that would justify a win from them more. Next I would make Damien and Mk switch placements. I know this will make people mad but I don’t see Damien have any character development. And we already have that character in Chase. So why don’t we make Damien this under the radar force and every noticed that he will win. Also make Julia find the idol and like throw it in the ocean. And we have a final 6 of 2 duos, Priya, and Zee. I think it’s obvious. Zee goes. He already got 7th last season. We have a better final 5. I think next we take our Priya. I said before TD likes to only have 1 person from the final 4. We have a duo final 4. And I think we have to get rid of a Hockey Bro. I think having one of them win and defeat the evil to make a Good over Bad. And in the show Wayne won. But unpopular opinion I think Raj would be a better moment. I think it would sit better because him and Bowie could have a Last Kiss when he wins. So Wayne goes in the final 4. I really liked the idea of the finale so we keep that the same. But I like to think MK and Julia won’t be mad at each other in it. Julia would still get her mullet, Raj wins. He gets the kiss. And that’s how I would change it. I am a hater on this season over just a lot of little things. It had the potential and this is how I think it would better. Feel free to judge. I’m not the best. I’m never correct (Especially in math class).

I think you misunderstand Damien, he has a lot of progression this season from someone scared of everything and barely struggling by to tackling any and all strong competitors. In a way his arc is similar to Cody from world tour where no one expect much from him but he manage find a way to use everyone underestimating him really well.
i feel like even from a storytelling angle, Wayne is the obvious choice to win. Julia is so prevalent this season as camper after camper gets eliminated by being outperformed, manipulated, or deceived in some way by Julia. so imagine if the one to topple Julia's reign of terror was CALEB, someone who got manipulated by Julia constantly and was supported by his entire team into getting revenge on Julia over any desire to see him win. instead she's beaten by Wayne, someone who didn't have to lie or cheat at all to make it to the end (fitting with the pre-merge theme of cheating vs. honesty) with 0 votes cast against him, someone that people, not just his team but Caleb's team as well, wants to actually win, and someone who ultimately isn't blinded enough by any sort of possible desire for revenge against Julia because he's just that nice of a guy.
@@aaronemerson8049 "deserved to win" is a weird thing to say about the character who outright admitted the only way she could survive in the competition was through cheating. to that end, Priya dominated way more legitimately, had just as much of a target on her back, and only got elim'd due to a hidden immunity, but she already won and people like her less than Julia so they just ignore that
Really Hot Take Here. Ripper and Axel were the best couple this season by far Bowie and Raj are my favorite out of the three but how they were handled with the cheating was something i did not enjoy. The arcs ending was horrible they solve there problem with a snowball fight? Still love them though. Raj and Bowie were incredible in episode 6 having wholesome scenes and awesome dialogue. Priya and Caleb are an awful mess i don’t even wanna talk about. Ripper and Axel are hilarious and wholesome to watch they peaked in episodes 1-4 but 5-7 were good to though (P.S I’m not counting Mk and Julia because they aren’t official)
For me I feel like I see Kaleb and Priyas relationship different than the show had them. Kaleb in the diary room would say "me and Priya are a great alliance" it sounds like Kaleb genuinely thinks Priya just wants to be an alliance and doesn't actually like him. Kaleb just didn't know she liked him. But in a lot of shows the couple always have this where the other gets upset that they didn't like them at first.
Agree, Raj and Bowie are good but they lack dynamic Prileb turned toxic near the end and was pretty toxic, Chemma is funny but you are not supposed to root for them as a couple
I liked this season a lot. Priya/Caleb is a mixed bag for me- when they’re getting along, they’re honestly kinda cute and I can kinda support the couple. And early on, the plotline works for me, since I always felt like Caleb wasn’t honestly trying to manipulate Priya’s feelings, but rather, just trying to work with a strong player. On the other hand, he doesn’t exactly get off scot-free here since he did still unintentionally lead her on earlier on in that story, even if I give him the benefit of the doubt. And when the pair are having the drama of Julia driving a wedge between them, it gets old. Plus, the fact Priya was a winner and made it to the semi-final challenge again felt like that time could have been given to characters like MK or Damien. There’s nice moments, but this is one of the Total Drama romances that drags. Speaking of other characters, though- Wayne just feels like a weird finalist, let alone a winner. If this was season 1 Wayne, who actually had some solid leadership skills on his team to offset his quirky nature, then sure, I could totally get behind it. But Wayne wasn’t really good in challenges, where the only one post-merge he won was with Raj and Julia as a team up. Not to say he’s a bad character or anything, he was consistently funny and enjoyable… boy could’ve been tossed one immunity win to make him seem less like the obvious dark horse victor he was being set up as, is all I’m saying. My ideal final four would have been MK, Julia, Wayne, and Raj, just because the early on plotline of the former two cheating and the latter two hating it would work nicely to bring it back around. Wayne and Raj could have recognized how they were the last line of defense against the two cheaters, and take it from there. Either have Wayne and Raj have to deal with being opponents in the finale, while Julia just has MK (or vice versa), or have Wayne (or Raj) being up against the two cheaters. Also, can’t help but say Damien and MK deserved to go farther. I just find the former funny with all his panicked reactions to the chaos, he reminds me of Shaggy from Scooby Doo, who is a favorite character of mine. And the latter was a great villain partner to Julia, and I would have absolutely loved those two getting near the finale together. Heck, with how comical I find the guy, Zee just floating through to the finale woulda also been great since dude just has no malice in his body, so him winning woulda been cool. Though yeah, the finale was great in retrospect, entirely because of how well it used the whole cast. And even if I saw Wayne winning from a million miles away. Even if I felt like there were better options for a finalist… Wayne’s a good guy and I’m happy he won. This season was solid and it would be very nice if they get more seasons sooner than later.
I’m hoping s3 gives Raj the focus and narrative he deserves. I’m HOPING the reason they chose Wayne as the winner is bc he shines as comic relief while they have plans for Raj to shine with an arc of his own and a major plot line with Bowie in s3. The only reason I don’t like Wayne winning is bc it might mean Raj never gets a chance as a finalist and Raj is my fav so of course that makes me sad Similar things for Damien and MK. They are awesome and are being saved to for their moment to truly shine in a season 3 bc they knew they couldn’t do they justice with Priya x Caleb monopolizing the screen time.
as someone who has watched all the seasons except the first season of the reboot, I think s2 of the reboot is the best for me so far. The characters feel so fresh and relatable because I'm tired of the predictable stereotypes making it far especially after Pahkitew. Julia and MK make such a good villainous duo and I appreciate that the cheating thing didn't make it through the whole season
I think priya and Caleb are a pretty cute couple, but I wish they hadn't taken up so much screen time. Especially when that mainly consists of them fighting and making up over and over again
The one thing that really bugged me was Priya's elimination ... you'd think with her background she'd have realized that there was still an Immunity idol out there, and that Julia must be the one who had it. Therefore, she and Caleb should have voted out Wayne.
Peoples’ main problem with this season is Julia’s sneakiness never being shown by the camera. I get why they would hate this, but it would ruin the suspense if they showed everything Julia did.
I was very unsatisfied with WAYNE winning?? I was rooting for Julia and Caleb, not WAYNE! He was so unimportant to the plot that it made NO SENSE AT ALL.
The season was definitely better than all stars but it has so many glaring flaws that I can barely say it's better than Pahkitew... 2023 was a much better season
Total drama Island (2026) & (2027), can’t wait for it tbh. I can see them doing another season with this cast plus new characters mixed in. Bring back 10/12, add 4/6, and rotate between these 20/22 for these two new seasons (ex- 2026 season brings back 12 and introduces 4, 2027 brings back 10 from 2023, 4 from 2026, and introduces 2 more new characters.
I've only watched the first 4 episodes fully so i can really only comment on them. Scary Girl/Lauren's being the first boot was wasted potential to me. The only way i could see that they justified it was by having her do stuff later on in the season and judging by the way you talked about the finale and the nods to her in challenges, then i would say it was justified. Chase's boot being next in my opinion was stupid. I had an idea while I was watching it and that idea made me hate the episode and how it was formated. I thought they would have Chase grt the camera angle right and them win the challenge for his team, which would send Emma home but they didn't do that and Chase got sent home. It just felt like the episode was predictable in that sense of Chase being sent home by doing nothing. Then with Millie being next out. I think was justified but the way they set her charcater up with the manual made me think she was gonna last longer, then the whole thing with Damien was out of left field and overall just something i don't think she would do, and then it was made up next episode and she got sent home. Her entire arc felt very rushed. I think this was a food place to send her off, but the way she was sent off was stupid. The Emma elimination was annoying. Her team using her to win the challenge by choosing the wrong thing and then still losing after she threw a tantrum was again, annoying. I personally would swap Emma and Chase's eliminations around, just would be better and also show more sides of Chase like actually being somewhat good at physical challenges.

I actually think the only problems are Priya making it far and Mk not being more villainous (I get this one)
Priya making it far did make sense (unless you count the fourth episode but that was still a toss up) since (besides episode 4) other characters did more egregious stuff that put them on the chopping block (Zee spilling secrets, Damien and Nichelle crossing Julia (as well as Bowie from the last season plus his bad reputation despite being less worse than Julia), Caleb’s slight deceit despite his change of heart, Rixel being Geoff and Bridgette all over again, etc.). Campers taking more into consideration in the marshmallow ceremony than eliminating strong competitors like actual integrity and manners from what I think is more than other seasons definitely helped her go far.

My problem wasn’t Priya making this far, but how they stretched the plot with Caleb till episode 12. I would’ve made them fight for the alliance with Julia after their initial reconciliation and then, after a final closure, Julia cuts Caleb out somehow and Priya ranks 4th going without him, all alone against her enemy. Put Raj instead of MK, Caleb instead of Damien, Wayne instead of Raj and make MK reach the finale, when she’ll spend most of the time trying to take Julia down with her and viceversa…until Damien wins. That would’ve been 👌 to me

This run of episodes was great, thanks to AS and PI I was worried that they were gonna fumble the bag again thanks to the double 13 episode format, but this time it actually felt like the end product was actively better thanks to not being a single long season. Gonna suck not having new TD content for the next few years. But this was a great note to end the reboot on
So, not a critique really but just some genuine confusion towards this video and pretty much all the others who watched this season and had massive negative take-aways from the Caleb and Priya stuff.
Why does everyone think that Caleb was *ever* being malicious in his efforts to have an alliance with Priya? I watched this season twice now and both times I never noticed a single point where early on Caleb was trying to do anything that was generally manipulative in a romantic light. He wasn't trying to pull an Alejandro where he used his charm to make them fall for him despite not having feelings, he was trying to just have a good person to rely on knowing that they were both strong competitors. It's even played as a gag in one of the confessionals that Caleb just truly did not realize what he was doing and only saw it as a great alliance, only then to develop feelings after and realize what his situation was truly like. Every review I have seen has this view on Caleb like he went out from the beginning trying to manipulate Priya, when, that just never happened? He is just a bit of an airhead at points and wasn't aware enough to see that it was more romantic inclination he started feeling and that she had bottled up too.
Yeah I agree, he had made it clear to the audience that he just wanted an alliance. The campers hating him though does make sense since they didn't know about that after Caleb did develop feelings, and He and Priya kissed. I think what made me mad about this though is how easily this could've been communicated by him, and how he continuously fumbles for the rest of the season.

It's definitely an issue with how the characters view what happened vs what actually happened. Caleb never says he wasn't manipulating Priya despite the fact he could have defended himself by saying he was looking for a friend and alliance to start with, before developing feelings for her. The way the characters treat it as a manipulation and betrayal with no counter argument makes it easy to forget that's not actually how Caleb played it
I was really happy Wayne won, Julia didnt receive the worst punishment out of any of the villians, and no one cares for the other guy (who didnt get a bad ending). I hope they get a new season cause I could see them doing a season with new campers and then getting a new AS season with a combination of this 2 season and for some sort of season lowkey a character from pakitew cause they know its one of the weakest seasons
Was hoping to see Raj get a narrative where he learns to be confident in himself since he’s the sidekick of the hockey bros duo. Happy for Wayne but really want nothing more than to see Raj step out of his shadow. Hoping we get a season 3 where Raj gets his turn to shine with a major arc and we hopefully get Raj x Bowie as the focus couple of the season for once too! I think it would be really good! Yeah, I've got no issues with Priya and Caleb. Sure they were a bit much, but I'm equally shocked that the fans are so livid at it.
It’s just because of the timing of the season. With only 13 episodes, it was really excruciating to see so much time being taken up by that one plot point which is good but not crazy interesting. The two characters are cool and it’s a good plot, it just overstayed its welcome. I haven’t seen anyone against the plot as a concept, people are just mad it went on for so long.
The Best Friends' plot was also polarizing for being too dragged out and that's in a 26 episodes season.
I was really expecting to dislike it going in (especially because I really liked the relationship between Priya and Millie) but Caleb was a sweet character with a compelling arc about using then falling in love with Priya, then reacting to that getting exposed after his feelings had changed. At most, I'd say I wish they'd emphasised his competitiveness over his goody-two-shoes-ness (it would fit his initial characterisation, his relationship with Priya, and better explain his deal with Julia) but honestly this show has done SO much worse with shipping. As in the video, in another season, Priya x Caleb would be a highlight.
My only two changes to the season is just to swap Bowie and Nichelle eliminations and to swap Priya and Damien elimination. For Nichelle, just make her eliminated due to being a comp beast and a shit social player instead of the fake contract.
Another thing I would change is just who wins immunity in some episodes, because some of them just feel like plot armor.

I actually really align with your takes! MK & Julia were easily the best part of the season for me and I loved Wayne and Raj and Bowie too, so I was firmly team Skunk Butt. And I basically didn’t internalize most of what happened on the other team unless Julia got involved lol. That also made it easier for me to stomach the Caleb and Priya plot because it was mostly disconnected from everyone I was actually caring about until later on. I don’t mind that Priya made it far again because she is very capable and she is a fun character. And Caleb going farther was fine too - I just wanted his personality to be more consistent. Loved the point about Wayne carrying on the humor of the show as the rest of the final four were much more serious or plot driven characters. And while I was rooting for Julia, I was very satisfied with a Wayne win! The finale was really strong as far as character moments go and them bringing back everyone as helpers really enhanced that. Also there’s something I just inherently love about a double confessional - so everytime we got Julia and MK or Wayne and Raj or even Axel and Ripper (who I didn’t hate as a pairing tbh) it made me smile. I haven’t rewatched the first reboot season (and tbh it wasn’t that long ago when I first watched it but it feels like longer) but I currently personally enjoyed the second season slightly more - it gave me pretty much everything I was looking for, was an easy and enjoyable watch, and felt less gross out to me. The official release schedule is frustratingly bad, but I loved the community coming out of the woodwork to share and discuss and watch the leaked episodes together. And yes I would definitely watch your video on other Total Drama seasons like RR.

I was also surprised by the lack of Raj and Bowie moments on the show, I understand Bowie on the first season did try to not focus on their relationship after they kissed and that they should wait until after the season. But like atleast a goodbye kiss or something (I did like how he hugs him after winning the challenge when he pretended not to cheat, or their banter on the last episode)
They got plenty of moments. We don't need them becoming another "make out" couple like Gigette or Ripper/Axel
I hope they finally get to be the main couple of a season if we get a season 3. Their relationship has SO MUCH to explore. It would even finally get us that Raj development and narrative that I think he’d be perfect for and hopefully Raj could still end up being a finalist to full show he’s unique and different than Wayne.
as an MK fan since S1 started airing, I gotta say this season was pure bliss for me lol. Never expected to see her get so far into the game and even tho she didn't made it to the finale, I am so happy to see how much content we got from her in the end and how good her character was.
These 2 seasons have to be among my favorites from the entire series tbh, from start to finish they were so good and funny to watch. Every character was actually real good and left a great impact in the end, hopefully we get more TD content in the future (whether it's another sason or a Ridonculous Race) 'cause this was really good

I feel like Wayne winning is the actual punishment for both of them(or at least for Julia)
S1 was soo much better then S2. The start of the season was great, but the Love-drama was exhausting, main villain had too much plot armor, characters who had a plot were shafted for either the Prileb drama or the comic relief, and the winner who not only was predictable (anyone who thought it was a shocker need to see a doc), but had zero plot relevance all season.
Say what you want about Owen or Beth, but they had plot relevance in their respective season. What a disappointing end to a season that could have been great.
This season was on track to be one of my favourites, but that last third or so soured my opinion of it. Its such a shame because the earlier portion of this season was laying a really good groundwork i think.

One of my favorite seasons since one of the first 3 seasons it was so good.
Honestly, the reboot was a fantastic move for the series because it let the whole thing calm down and just be more chill, which makes you want to root for everyone more. The stakes don't need to be massive; they need to be personal, and we got that! Millie and Priya's friendship breaking down in the S1 finale had me the most invested in Total Drama I've ever been. As Millie learnt to love Priya, she actually started improving herself. As Priya learnt to doubt Millie, she actually started prioritising her own wellbeing. They were what each other needed, they were each other's first friend, and their flaws naturally brought the other down. That's good drama, baby!
Priya x Caleb is a bit of a repeat but the moment of Zee needing to confess that Caleb was using Priya right as Caleb actually fell in love with her? Great use of characters doing what's right but still colliding over it! Then, you also get Bowie's competitiveness vs. Raj's earnestness. You get Julia and MK finding allies in each other, making both of them more interesting and likeable.
Yeah, the challenges were simpler but the flow of conflicts and strategies was clear to follow while giving you good, character-driven twists. Even when they do dumb things, you're shouting "Oh course they'd do that!" rather than "Why would they do that?!". The opposing team refusing to shoot Wayne before Raj blasts him with a t-shirt cannon was just perfect. Of course no-one else could shoot the loveable Wayne. Of course Raj knew Wayne would want the t-shirt 😂
It's impossible to compare any season to TDI because the original's tone was just so different. TDWT was a cumulation of characters with high highs of development and strategy, but with some low lows of the shipping and treatment of the side cast. TDROTI had a fantastic cast but some bumps along the way. So, TDIR might be my favourite seasons of Total Drama as a complete, quality package. Sure, there are ways they could be better but I have very little to actually complain about.
I hope that if theres a season 3 they change up the character dynamics some. I like the idea of seeing Priya get more aggressively competitive to the point that she starts acting like a villain, and i want to see Bowie trying to be a more fair player while still getting treated like a villain. I think theres also room to actually show Axel as a serious player rather than having her constantly job to other players in physical games. Seeing Damien not piss his pants at every challenge reveal would also be nice as well, and obviously a character arc about Chase realizing that its his own fault that Emma doesnt like him and either having him accept it or change instead of just having it be a running joke would be nice as well. Theres still potential for this cast.

Honestly the dialogue this season was amazing. Easily the funniest Total Drama has ever been.
Zee wouldve been a better winner than Wayne. There's actual grounding of everyone liking him, and him mostly flying under the radar, but having some great skills that could get him far. Just have Wayne find out about the secretz then spill it and get out in Episode 8. This also gives Raj more time to be on his own. The elim order could be.

to ME (and i said this on reddit) what genuinely irked me was a lot of things characters were doing OFF CAMERA! why didn't we SEE Julia tell the rat faces that bowie thought of the cheating idea, or see her take the invincibility statue. again I blame Caleb n Priya for taking screentime from everyone. but that leaves only time to have the campers focus more on the challenges and not dynamics.

the cynical part of me believes that we don't see Julia do things like convince everyone Bowie was the one who wanted to cheat and forging the script/contract for Nichelle because if they actually showed these things happening, they wouldn't be able to just gloss over how everyone instantly believed Julia, who they know to be a lying, deceptive snake, and how she managed to forge an entire Hollywood contract/script that fast.
They didn't show Julia take the idol because it would have made it way more obvious than it already was that Damien was going home and Julia was making it to the finale.
If you put these 3 in a Survivor Final Tribal Council, I could see Wayne getting the jury votes to win. He is the modern Total Drama parallel to Gabler: goofy but great social game.
This season has the best finnaly in my opinion and Wayne was the perfect choice for the winner.
Also i just realised some thing. Since Wayne wasn't voted out last season but had to leave due to his injuries and because he won this one, That means that Wayne is the only member of this cast that has not been voted out before.

I liked this season 2. I actually didn't have any real problems with it, either. Besides maybe swapping the 4th and 5th place eliminations.
I feel like you should reconsider your script though. It felt like there were a few too many times where you'd allude to something that's seemingly part of the section of the video, only to say "we'll get back to that later" that it just makes the video seem disjointed in some spots.

The fact this season finished 4 month ago and the other season leaked in January of last year and still hasn’t aired this show was set up to offical the main total drama page said it’s going to mostly rely on streaming and cable ratings for the renewal while 95% of the people that were interested in this when it was announced 3 years ago watched it a year and a half ago it’s a shame this nearly perfect season was sabotaged

I honestly think the reboot cast is some of the best contestants we've ever had in Total Drama. If I had to pick my least favorite boy and girl it would probably have to be Chase and Millie (season 1 Millie not season 2 Millie). I don't hate either of them though, I just liked everyone else more. In my opinion season 2 blew season 1 out of the water. Just think about season 1 again, it had a fart dedicated episode and a vomit dedicated episode. Chase and Millie, my 2 least favorite characters in the reboot, made it really far in season 1 but were early boots in season 2. Julia and MK are my 2 favorite character in the reboot and they had major plot importance in season 2. I literally think my only criticism in season 2 is that Priya and Caleb got a little too much screentime for my liking, although I'm actually totally fine with their storyline and being a couple. I'm really trying to think of something that season 1 did better but I just can't. Overall, I would definitely put the Reboot seasons up there with Island and World Tour because I thought they were that good. I am so unbelievably happy that after all this time we finally got new Total Drama and that it was actually good!!

Priya and Caleb made the season insufferable
Throughout the vid. , I agree that Caleb and Priya's romance has been too much screentime. This kinda hurt Julia's narrative in this season since she is a great competitor since she's the one who eliminated Priya (and probably one of the only contestant to have the most immunity, including past contestants like Heather, Duncan etc.) and what hurt Julia's narrative is that she became predictable once she became the only girl that is standing on their way (starting when MK was eliminated).
Maybe I'm reminiscing Heather's dynamic with Alejandro in WT, and that's why I think Julia's character gets a bit boring in this season (since no one can face her demeanor like what Bowie did back in S01) and her and Caleb's fight in the finale was not working with me since Caleb was not working for me as a kind guy in his interior. Wayne winning was awesome since the Hockey Bros. redeemed themselves than in S01!

Wayne was a better winner than Owen to their respective seasons.
Both of them were floaters but at least Wayne played fair in comparison to Owen who cheated.

It’s a bottom 2 season for me. I really REALLY cannot stand the comedic relief character winning after doing nothing all season long.
Priya and Caleb storyline was just druggg out and didn’t leave room for underdeveloped characters from season 1 to develop even further here. MK is really the only one who got that opportunity(and Caleb obviously)
More wasted potential with Scary Girl, unsatisfying eliminations like with Nichelle, Axel and Ripper were given the Geoff and Bridgette treatment but we weren’t given the grace of them being early boots and had to watch them for half the season do absolutely nothing.

Mediocre imo. I am somewhat happy Wayne won but i still struggle with Damien getting robbed...and he is alot smarter than Wayne. My biggest disappointment was the lack of romance between Wayne and Julia.... or at least a kiss.

@@HappyLittleWorker I know right!? Julia was the main villain who cheated her way through like half of the season, it made no sense for her to win. Julia might possibly be my favorite character of the reboot, but I knew she was only coming in 2nd place at best.
@HappyLittleWorker They weren't thinking clearly. She cheated constantly. She ADMITTED to the camera that she was cheating constantly. But for whatever reason they still believed it could happen. It was the most obvious red herring in the history of television.

FULL THOUGHTS ON THE REBOOT BELOW
Yeah, I think it's mid overall. Both seasons. There are ofc characters I love (Bowie, Damien, Julia, MK, Wayne & Raj being the only consistently good ones imo) and I like the new things added to the elimination ceremony. But so many challenges feel samey, most of the character arcs are either cliché or underwhelming, and I especially hated how Praleb was the main plot of the 2nd season and it not even coming to a satisfying close. Even Gwent in Island was better. I think these seasons needed more time in the oven to live up to its hype and potential. Lots of good ideas here and I'm glad SOME of them lived up to the hype. But it's hard not to imagine what could've been. I give both seasons a 6/10
Raj and Damien were robbed of their development and arcs that wouldve been so perfect. PRAYING we get that in a season 3 and the boys finally get their chance to shine.

I think the season lacks character development and characters staying too long... with exception if MK, Priya and Caleb no one really had any character development and with exception of those three and Julia no one had an genuine plot worth watching

I’m really glad you were able to enjoy this season. But I just see so many more great ways this season could have been and how this season handlement (idek if that’s a word) could have been way better. Because I LOVED the start. But that ended being in my opinion terrible. I find that this season could have worked if things were tweaked. Like making the hockey bros not dumb as season 5 Lindsay. Or Priya and Caleb’s plot line that no one cares about having Caleb and Zee swapped in placements. I’ll just say Bowie leaving early left a huge dent and hole. I understand he had to leave early. Total drama usually has only 1 person from their final 4 make it there again in the next. But I think that he left a missing dent. I’m not saying change that. That’s just something I noticed, THIS IS THE START OF MY CHANGES TO MAKE THE SEASON BETTER IMO. I do think that this dent could have been fixed by giving the Priya and Caleb story less screen time because it had no progression I swear. Just have them kiss in the final 8 episode then send Caleb home so Zee can stay! giving the space to Wayne and Raj progression. Maybe make them smarter by trying to make them learn? I think that would justify a win from them more. Next I would make Damien and Mk switch placements. I know this will make people mad but I don’t see Damien have any character development. And we already have that character in Chase. So why don’t we make Damien this under the radar force and every noticed that he will win. Also make Julia find the idol and like throw it in the ocean. And we have a final 6 of 2 duos, Priya, and Zee. I think it’s obvious. Zee goes. He already got 7th last season. We have a better final 5. I think next we take our Priya. I said before TD likes to only have 1 person from the final 4. We have a duo final 4. And I think we have to get rid of a Hockey Bro. I think having one of them win and defeat the evil to make a Good over Bad. And in the show Wayne won. But unpopular opinion I think Raj would be a better moment. I think it would sit better because him and Bowie could
have a Last Kiss when he wins. So Wayne goes in the final 4. I really liked the idea of the finale so we keep that the same. But I like to think MK and Julia won’t be mad at each other in it. Julia would still get her mullet, Raj wins. He gets the kiss. And that’s how I would change it. I am a hater on this season over just a lot of little things. It had the potential and this is how I think it would better. Feel free to judge. I’m not the best. I’m never correct (Especially in math class).
everyone fighting on the ingredient island is one of my favorite moments of the season. like the challenge starts and it hard cuts to the hunger games.

This cast is highly enjoyable. My only issue with the season is that I wish the Priya and caleb storyline didn't take up so much screentime.
I think you misunderstand Damien, he has a lot of progression this season from someone scared of everything and barely struggling by to tackling any and all strong competitors. In a way his arc is similar to Cody from world tour where no one expect much from him but he manage find a way to use everyone underestimating him really well.
i feel like even from a storytelling angle, Wayne is the obvious choice to win. Julia is so prevalent this season as camper after camper gets eliminated by being outperformed, manipulated, or deceived in some way by Julia. so imagine if the one to topple Julia's reign of terror was CALEB, someone who got manipulated by Julia constantly and was supported by his entire team into getting revenge on Julia over any desire to see him win.
instead she's beaten by Wayne, someone who didn't have to lie or cheat at all to make it to the end (fitting with the pre-merge theme of cheating vs. honesty) with 0 votes cast against him, someone that people, not just his team but Caleb's team as well, wants to actually win, and someone who ultimately isn't blinded enough by any sort of possible desire for revenge against Julia because he's just that nice of a guy.
Or she should have just won because she dominated the season and deserved the win the most

@@aaronemerson8049 "deserved to win" is a weird thing to say about the character who outright admitted the only way she could survive in the competition was through cheating. to that end, Priya dominated way more legitimately, had just as much of a target on her back, and only got elim'd due to a hidden immunity, but she already won and people like her less than Julia so they just ignore that

Really Hot Take Here. Ripper and Axel were the best couple this season by far
Bowie and Raj are my favorite out of the three but how they were handled with the cheating was something i did not enjoy. The arcs ending was horrible they solve there problem with a snowball fight? Still love them though. Raj and Bowie were incredible in episode 6 having wholesome scenes and awesome dialogue. Priya and Caleb are an awful mess i don’t even wanna talk about. Ripper and Axel are hilarious and wholesome to watch they peaked in episodes 1-4 but 5-7 were good to though (P.S I’m not counting Mk and Julia because they aren’t official)
I like the fact that Wayne and raj didn't cheat so it shows you don't have to cheat to win
For me I feel like I see Kaleb and Priyas relationship different than the show had them. Kaleb in the diary room would say "me and Priya are a great alliance" it sounds like Kaleb genuinely thinks Priya just wants to be an alliance and doesn't actually like him. Kaleb just didn't know she liked him. But in a lot of shows the couple always have this where the other gets upset that they didn't like them at first.
Agree, Raj and Bowie are good but they lack dynamic Prileb turned toxic near the end and was pretty toxic, Chemma is funny but you are not supposed to root for them as a couple
I liked this season a lot.
Priya/Caleb is a mixed bag for me- when they’re getting along, they’re honestly kinda cute and I can kinda support the couple. And early on, the plotline works for me, since I always felt like Caleb wasn’t honestly trying to manipulate Priya’s feelings, but rather, just trying to work with a strong player.
On the other hand, he doesn’t exactly get off scot-free here since he did still unintentionally lead her on earlier on in that story, even if I give him the benefit of the doubt. And when the pair are having the drama of Julia driving a wedge between them, it gets old. Plus, the fact Priya was a winner and made it to the semi-final challenge again felt like that time could have been given to characters like MK or Damien. There’s nice moments, but this is one of the Total Drama romances that drags.
Speaking of other characters, though- Wayne just feels like a weird finalist, let alone a winner. If this was season 1 Wayne, who actually had some solid leadership skills on his team to offset his quirky nature, then sure, I could totally get behind it. But Wayne wasn’t really good in challenges, where the only one post-merge he won was with Raj and Julia as a team up. Not to say he’s a bad character or anything, he was consistently funny and enjoyable… boy could’ve been tossed one immunity win to make him seem less like the obvious dark horse victor he was being set up as, is all I’m saying.
My ideal final four would have been MK, Julia, Wayne, and Raj, just because the early on plotline of the former two cheating and the latter two hating it would work nicely to bring it back around. Wayne and Raj could have recognized how they were the last line of defense against the two cheaters, and take it from there. Either have Wayne and Raj have to deal with being opponents in the finale, while Julia just has MK (or vice versa), or have Wayne (or Raj) being up against the two cheaters.
Also, can’t help but say Damien and MK deserved to go farther. I just find the former funny with all his panicked reactions to the chaos, he reminds me of Shaggy from Scooby Doo, who is a favorite character of mine. And the latter was a great villain partner to Julia, and I would have absolutely loved those two getting near the finale together. Heck, with how comical I find the guy, Zee just floating through to the finale woulda also been great since dude just has no malice in his body, so him winning woulda been cool.
Though yeah, the finale was great in retrospect, entirely because of how well it used the whole cast. And even if I saw Wayne winning from a million miles away. Even if I felt like there were better options for a finalist… Wayne’s a good guy and I’m happy he won. This season was solid and it would be very nice if they get more seasons sooner than later.
I’m hoping s3 gives Raj the focus and narrative he deserves. I’m HOPING the reason they chose Wayne as the winner is bc he shines as comic relief while they have plans for Raj to shine with an arc of his own and a major plot line with Bowie in s3. The only reason I don’t like Wayne winning is bc it might mean Raj never gets a chance as a finalist and Raj is my fav so of course that makes me sad
Similar things for Damien and MK. They are awesome and are being saved to for their moment to truly shine in a season 3 bc they knew they couldn’t do they justice with Priya x Caleb monopolizing the screen time.
as someone who has watched all the seasons except the first season of the reboot, I think s2 of the reboot is the best for me so far. The characters feel so fresh and relatable because I'm tired of the predictable stereotypes making it far especially after Pahkitew. Julia and MK make such a good villainous duo and I appreciate that the cheating thing didn't make it through the whole season
I think priya and Caleb are a pretty cute couple, but I wish they hadn't taken up so much screen time. Especially when that mainly consists of them fighting and making up over and over again
Tbh, Zee was kinda like Anne Marie in a sense, Being a plot point for two lovers but actually having their moments and characters
The one thing that really bugged me was Priya's elimination ... you'd think with her background she'd have realized that there was still an Immunity idol out there, and that Julia must be the one who had it. Therefore, she and Caleb should have voted out Wayne.

Peoples’ main problem with this season is Julia’s sneakiness never being shown by the camera. I get why they would hate this, but it would ruin the suspense if they showed everything Julia did.
I was very unsatisfied with WAYNE winning?? I was rooting for Julia and Caleb, not WAYNE! He was so unimportant to the plot that it made NO SENSE AT ALL.

The season was definitely better than all stars but it has so many glaring flaws that I can barely say it's better than Pahkitew... 2023 was a much better season
Total drama Island (2026) & (2027), can’t wait for it tbh. I can see them doing another season with this cast plus new characters mixed in. Bring back 10/12, add 4/6, and rotate between these 20/22 for these two new seasons (ex- 2026 season brings back 12 and introduces 4, 2027 brings back 10 from 2023, 4 from 2026, and introduces 2 more new characters.
I've only watched the first 4 episodes fully so i can really only comment on them.
Scary Girl/Lauren's being the first boot was wasted potential to me. The only way i could see that they justified it was by having her do stuff later on in the season and judging by the way you talked about the finale and the nods to her in challenges, then i would say it was justified.
Chase's boot being next in my opinion was stupid. I had an idea while I was watching it and that idea made me hate the episode and how it was formated. I thought they would have Chase grt the camera angle right and them win the challenge for his team, which would send Emma home but they didn't do that and Chase got sent home. It just felt like the episode was predictable in that sense of Chase being sent home by doing nothing.
Then with Millie being next out. I think was justified but the way they set her charcater up with the manual made me think she was gonna last longer, then the whole thing with Damien was out of left field and overall just something i don't think she would do, and then it was made up next episode and she got sent home. Her entire arc felt very rushed. I think this was a food place to send her off, but the way she was sent off was stupid.
The Emma elimination was annoying. Her team using her to win the challenge by choosing the wrong thing and then still losing after she threw a tantrum was again, annoying. I personally would swap Emma and Chase's eliminations around, just would be better and also show more sides of Chase like actually being somewhat good at physical challenges.
