Okay, hear me out, if they add new characters next season, the new girl should be that intern. Let her screw up something in the first episode that pisses off Chris so badly, that as punishment, Chris forces her to become a contestant
My biggest complaint about this season was that a lot of characters had so much wasted potential. Emma was in dire need of developing her character outside of her interactions with Chase, but despite Chase being voted off early, Emma barely lasts any longer. Nichelle transformed from a fake action star to a real contender for the million, only to be unceremoniously duped by Julia halfway through. Axel was trying to be a nicer, more cooperative person, but the minute she got together with Ripper, her entire character was just "in love with Ripper". Caleb actually started out pretty interesting this season, determined to win and being strategic without necessarily being a villain... and then his romantic struggles with Priya completely ruined him. Wayne lost his best bud and had to cope without him... for just one episode, in which he did nothing but get strung along by Julia. And Julia fell flat as a villain this season. She was often just being carried by MK, and most of the villainous things she *does* do (like eliminating Nichelle and Bowie, or stealing Damien's immunity idol) happen offscreen.
I just realized that priya and Caleb when together stop being priya and Caleb, and start being the daters/haters from ridiculous race, especially in episode 12
their ongoing arc also reminds me of trent and gwen tdi, due to the fact that things ( heather, the phobia challenge) kept on ruining their relationship just like zee and julia’s “help” but they end up together in the end ( for now….) 😐
I agree that Caleb and Priya's screentime is too much. The writers really robbed Damien and I expected him to go to the Final 5 but nah, romantic tension is more important since it what makes the "plot progress" Wayne winning was the saving grace for this season, he's like Geoff (without Bridgette) and Owen combined!
Definitely loved the 3 person finale change where all 3 actually compete, just disappointed that both the villains that made the end lost which makes you wonder if the “hero win” is always gonna happen. Also though Damien and Raj’s eliminations were pretty bad at the end Bowie’s elimination was pretty BS considering anybody is trusting what Julia says
Poorly explained and I don’t see why Julia would target Raj over Caleb or Priya who are both more physically capable and strategic than the hockey While I’m at it I’d say that Nichelle’s was pretty bad too, and I find the entire Ripper and Axel double elimination extremely poorly done, nobody even brings up that Axel is a threat until after she’s eliminated and Ripper going out like that was bizarre and I wasn’t even sure if it was a double until Chris said so
@XanderMatthews-nv9zf Julia wanted to vote Priya off, but she couldn't because Wayne & Raj were set on voting Caleb. I'm guessing she targeted Raj off because he was the most capable hockey bro, and she needed Caleb's vote (he wouldn't vote priya due to their deal). Axel was also an understandable elimination. Out of everyone remaining, she was physical threat and was annoying everyone else. I do agree with Ripper, I would have preferred a proper double elimination. As for Nichelle, her running desperately running back to Hollywood was, in my opinion, an ironically good way for her to leave. While it is not executed the best, it was definitely shown she missed her old life.
@@niwdE25No, they handled Julia and the idol perfectly. They gave us hints she was trying to find it more than anyone else, but did it lowkey enough that we really thought Julia was going home again until she pulled it out
What I love is the symetry between this generatioms winners. In the first season it's Pryia, who has been preparing her entire life for Total Drama, and then there was Wayne who literally forgot there was a price It's absolutely perfect
Fr! By that point it would've made sense for Julia to want Priya out over Damien since Priya is a bigger threat. Hello? "I trained for this my whole life" was literally right there. Ah well. At least Julia using the idol at all on someone was satisfying imo
Excited to hear your review of season 2! Outside of the Priyah and Caleb stuff, along with the Nichelle boot, I had a really fun time with this season! Hopeful that at least some of this cast gets to return! I also do wonder, does this confirm Owen is the canon winner? And with the amount of times Priyah is referenced as the former winner, is there no alternate winner now? Curious to see when it comes to the states! Edit: Not even 2 minutes in and the canon winner question is answered! Lmao
Emma earned that elimination. She should have realized she wasn't good and stepped aside or just get over her team ignoring her. She put her team at risk and got axed
One thing I was not expecting was liking Wayne, he was a floater the entire season but the fear episode really showed why he deserved to win. He was a genuine nice guy. Just wish there were more episodes with him on his own
@@aaronemerson8049 No, its obvious that you've mistaken a close friendship for a relationship. Theres already 3 relationships on the show, including an LGBT one
Hello! Been watching your channel since your BB25 review (na d also seeing how your a fan of TD, given Dawn is your profile picture). And it’s cool to see this review up. Overall, I disagree about Season 2. I think it’s a massive mixed bag and is not as good as season 1. It’s 5th/9th for me, but I’ll admit, it’s got its advantages that don’t put it lower on the list for me. I do think it’s better than WT, Action, AS and PI. But it’s still got problems. Chase’s elimination, I felt could have been better. I really did not like the lazy way hr was written off. Just having him not compete in the challenge. It just sucks. When I feel like they could have had Emma get in Chase’s head by daring him to do nothing but 4-point shots, but in comedic pain magnet fashion, Chase fails every time. It fits Chase’s character, and you can easily get good laughs, and hey, maybe even med-evac Chase out of the game. It could be a shocking moment to the audience for an early medical leave, and fixes the plothole of why MK and Julia don’t get Chase and Ripper to flip the vote on Bowie and the Hockey Bros. I disagree with your thoughts on Millie. I think Millie overall is a decent character. I wish her boot wasn’t such a whimper, but I like how Millie at least apologizes properly for what she does wrong. Emma. I was okay with her going. Yeah, it was kind of mean-spirited, the way she went out, and yes, ultimately it is was Priya’s fault they ended up losing, but Emma burned her trust with her team by being so bad at the challenge…and then squandered their lead by being so indignant. And honestly. The whole point of Emma’s elimination is basically karma for her messing with Chase’s head and getting him eliminated. Emma messed with Chase’s head, Priya messed with Emma’s head and she fails on the Chase question. Which tells me that Emma needs to stop hyper-focusing on revenge on Chase and just move on. Nichelle…I do disagree with you and with this second season, Nichelle has easily become the most wasted character of this generation. Just…I feel like she has nothing to her. She has no real unique interactions, and her development happened OFFSCREEN. Even Scary Girl has more substance to her than Nichelle…which is really disappointing considering Scary Girl is a one-note gimmick character. So sadly, I do have to consider Nichelle the worst of the Gen 4 cast. I’m not mad at Julia messing with Nichelle, I’m just disappointed Nichelle friggin’ QUITS (which was the first big red flag of the season for me)…and this is only the second worst elimination of the season… I am glad they gave Bowie karma for his actions in the finale last season. And if he’s not even gonna feel sorry for what he did, he might as well have little to no allies. Though, it’s heavily speculated they merged so early solely to write off Bowie…which I don’t know. But otherwise, Bowie’s elimination was fine. It does make sense for people to target him. It’s just too bad Julia convincing everyone to go for him happened offscreen…again. Ripper and Axel, I was okay with. I do like how we got some more depth with him by showing these more romantic sides to them. I would have just made their elimination round a double to begin with than trying to make Ripper’s leaving a joke, but they served their purpose. But I did like some of the jokes for the couple. Zee. He was fine. I’m glad he got a story this season since having him be just the comic relief guy again two seasons in a row would have tired out his character quickly. MK was great this season. It was nice to see her relationship with Julia be genuine and she had some fun moments. And while I have issues with every elimination from Final 7 onwards, I do LIKE how MK was eliminated. As it required Julia to genuinely know MK on a personal level enough to know what she was going to do, and flip it on her. It’s actually one of the few times Julia as antagonist was clever this season. Although, you could easily have left MK in until Final 5, and eliminate her the same way and it still would have worked …What else can I say about Damien other than he was fricking ROBBED, and everyone, even people who don’t care for Damien, admit this was by far the worst elimination of the whole season. Maybe of the entire reboot. It sucked. Which is a shame because Damien is such a well-liked character. I love the dude. He’s in my Top 10 characters of all of TD. We knew he was gonna lose his idol, but WHY did that have to lead to his elimination? WHY did Wayne and Raj need to commit a stupid action for the sake of the plot? And yeah, now that I just spoke of characters who shouldn’t have gone early…I have the mixed one in Raj…Look, I’m okay with Wayne being in the finale over Raj, but it really wasn’t set up well, as it felt like the story relevance was put ONTO Raj…until it wasn’t. But if the plan was for Wayne to win the season…why wait SO LONG to execute Wayne and Raj’s separation? Shouldn’t he have left at Final 7? Actually build up to Wayne’s win? Otherwise, Raj got a good sendoff, despite being dumbed down since last season. And now…we go to the character who I found most insufferable from Episode 9 onward…Priya. Which is a shame because, until she start to become this mood swingy asshat version of herself (she tried to fuckin’ KILL Caleb in Episode 9, for God’s sake!), I did like her and Caleb. But then she just starts to become overbearing, and overstays her welcome in her game when she survives the Final 6 round…when by all means, she shouldn’t have. We lost Damien to this plotline (and Julia’s meddling) that dragged on WAY too long. I don’t have problems with Caleb and Priya as a couple, but I admit, this showmance overstayed its welcome. Not to mention her boot isn’t very satisfying since we KNEW it was coming since Priya wasn’t winning again, and the immunity idol was still out there, so it was anti-climatic and predictable. Now we move on to our finalists, Caleb, Julia and Wayne. Caleb, I actually began to really like this season, especially once Episode 9 and onwards happened. I feel like while he isn’t the most interesting character, you do NEED more grounded and normal personalities to balance out the OTT natures of some of the other characters. I personally wouldn’t have made him a finalist, but it’s fine for what it is. And Julia…is someone who kind of frustrated me as a two-time villain. For one, the characters all watched back their first season, so they KNOW Julia will do anything to make it to the end…and they pretty much always let her get her way, and she NEVER fails in any of her endeavors, not to mention the fact that a lot of what she does happens offscreen. Julia is OP as hell this season. Constant immunity wins. Always getting her way, and her being way more strategic than she was in her first season (which was odd considering this is the same girl who needed MK to tell her that Bowie only choose her for his team to be elimination fodder in the first episode). Which is a shame since…I still do LIKE Julia. A lot. But this season just shook my faith of her as antagonist. Also her and Priya were in all 26 episodes of both seasons. Both got speaking lines even after their boot in the 12th episodes. Just…No more of these two for a whole after this. I’m burned out. And now. Our winner of S2…Wayne. Probably one of the most unsatisfying and disappointing winners. Which sucks because I do think of the writing was better and this had better setup, Wayne beating Caleb and Julia at the end could have been such a good end to the story. But sadly, it’s just frustrating.
Yesss I also vibed with this season more than the first mostly because of the continued and new character dynamics on an already established cast! Team Skunk Butt really did have all of the icons and I pretty much had blinders for the other team until Julia iced out Nichelle. Priya could have gone when Emma did, but Emma didn’t have any deep interactions with anyone else since they decided that her and Bowie would not rekindle a friendship, so ultimately I was fine to lose her there. Scary Girl really is so fun and I’m glad someone else appreciated her! I’m not as high on Damien as you are (I still don’t really know what his character was this season he was mostly just there), but I do agree that Priya going when he did would’ve worked out nicely. Julia idoling out Priya was cathartic though! And I like Priya and don’t mind how far she made it again since she is competent and well connected. But yeah her and Caleb together were very different than when they were separate and I don’t love how they handled them. Caleb especially felt just very inconsistently written. Absolutely loved the hockey bros again and they were just good, funny characters both together and separately. Very satisfied with a Wayne win! MK and Julia truly the stars of the season for so many reasons and I really love their duo. The tension is there, but if they don’t go there we’ll always have subtext. I’m so glad that MK’s elimination didn’t ruin their relationship.
s3 will be s2's redemption with priya gone first, MK and Damien going to the finale, Emma getting justice, Ripper and Axel back to real characters, caleb without Priya, oh we will be a country
Since you seem to enjoy reality tv and Total Drama a lot, can I recommend a show? Its a youtube series called Disventure Camp. Its a fanmade Total Drama/survivor like show by Odd Nation Cartoons but is much more similar to Survivor in a cartoon form than Total Drama ever was. Being way more focus on the characters and strategic elements. It's not long at all, only being 3 seasons long (S1 and S2 being 13 episodes long and S3, the all-stars season, is currently airing with 5 episodes out but is set to have 21 in total). The only thing I would say in advance is when going from S1 to S2 expect a huge quality drop in animation, voice acting and writing. The thing is despite being the 1st season, season 1 was created after season 2. This is because season 1 of Disventure Camp is a remake of an old beta version of the season which after that they made season 2 and went back to go remake season 1. Anyways, if you enjoy reality TV at all its a high recommendation.
I’ve heard about it! I’ve always wanted to check it out but I’ve stopped myself, I would love to watch and make a video about it sometime because I’ve heard great things about it
The Caleb/Priya relationship was iffy for me. In the 5th episode of the first season, Damien barged in on Millie and Priya, called Priya stunning, and she blushed. In the same episode she blurted out that Damien's the love of her life (I know she went back on it immediately after saying it, but that felt like a lie). Damien and Priya even teamed up in the finale of season 1. I really thought it would be those 2 that got a relationship arc, but that was thrown away for Caleb and that made me mad.
Quick thought about a possible season 3. While there's not all that much possible development left for individuals this season set up couples: Priya/Caleb, MK/Julia, Axel/Ripper, Raj/Wayne or Raj/Bowie. (I preferred Bowie as a couch for the Hockey Bros.) That's a better set up for Ridonculous Race 2. Other pairings I'd like to see: Lauren/Damien, Nichelle/Jerry, and Zee/Chase (who were good together in last year's horrible episode.) I think they could bring back updated versions of Noah/Emma as a married couple and Junior (parody of adult Justin Bieber).
I would have liked it if Julia had won, I'm good with Wayne too, and yeaa, Priya could easily have been eliminated in episode 10, she stayed too long. I don't think her ship with Caleb is the worst ever, I mean Mike & Zoey are worst in All Stars and they made it to the finals, that ruined the season, at least Priya elimination was pretty satisfying. Over all was a pretty good season and I even liked episode 7 for Julia & hockey bros interactions.
Hey not to rush idk if you working on it but are you gonna do the world tour ranking I enjoyed the action and island one a lot and I would really like too see your thought on world tour btw I’m not rushing
I really enjoyed this season! But one of my biggest problems with this season is the Priya and Caleb relationship. It felt like every episode Priya flipped between loving Damien to hating him. I also didn't really like MK and Julia this season, which I don't know if that's what the writers intended. But either way I didn't like them. But other than those two things, this was the most enjoyable season I've seen in a LONG time!
I‘m really surprised you like Season 2 so much! I really think Season 2‘s performance was weaker than Season 1‘s At least after episode 8 Episode 1-8 was great, better than Season 1 But everything else and especially the finale ruined the second season for me I really liked Julia, but the final episodes made me dislike her The Priya and Caleb story got stretched too much and the eliminations like Damien were ridiculous So Season 2 had a really good run for me until Episode 8 I was unfortunately not enjoying it after episode 8 I hope we get another season that will rock 🥺
Aight he’s somewhat gassing Priya and Caleb being the worst TDI storyline ever. I can make the case Caleb made the relationship more unbearable than Priya because he spent too much time trying to foster two alliances at once especially with the most evil nemesis on the show. Julia’s obvious scheming, Ripaxels annoying make out sessions and Damian getting into his own head once he just got control of the game made the series more unbearable
The post-merge elimination order sucked eggs, though. Damien was being hyped up as the main protagonist after winning immunity against Bowie. He and Raj were nothing but sacrificial lambs for the Priya X Caleb crap that dragged on for way too long and in the end, a random side character won. The pre-merge eliminations were perfect (Yes, even Nichelle's elimination didn't bother me as I was never a big fan of her) but they really dropped the ball as soon as Zee got eliminated.
Nichelle's elimination was always BS to me. Earlier in the episode Julia said she had no paper, SO HOW THE HELL DID SHE MAKE THE FAKE CONTRACT!!!??? Season 2 Ruined Julia for me as an antagonist. The cast acts like she is a brand new character and that they don't know about the stuff she did last season. For me Priya x Caleb relationship in this season is a nightmare as well.
Pyra and Julia are the only 2 contestants that been in all episodes these 2 seasons, only Heather and Zoey have done that that before Heather with TDI and TDWT and Zoey with TDRotI and TDAS.
Emma and Chase vs Caleb and Pryia, I don't know which is a worse couple. Which considering one is meant to be a joke with an overly terrible dynamic and one is the main couple of the season...Yeah that says something about their plotline that ain't exactly good.
@@pepsicannot I’m talking about this season. They went out of their way to make sure the black guy doesn’t win. Another white guy and girl wins. Typical almost every season someone white wins lol
@@jalen8709 uhh both Lightning and Cameron are black and both win. Plus I doubt they thought they eliminated him because his color which if you ask me seems unlikely
i felt so bad for damien, for once he was kinda lucky, and his immunity idol got stolen, while i loved julia, this time i was genuinely mad at her lol aslso youve been trashing on priya and caleb storyline a lot, but honestly i think it was okay, it was better than caleb doing nothing or becoming another justin
Honestly, having the mkulia duo stay platonic is alright by me As much as i love the idea of them as a couple, what makes their dynamic so good is that they work both platonically and romantically BUT that "if mks brain drove a cool car id date it" line is beyond fruity and thats rlly funny
Here’s my thoughts on the season Episode 1: this was a great way to start the new season. The reintroduction of the characters is great and is probably the best reintroduction in the series. The challenge was also pretty entertaining. Although it sucks that Scary girl was first boot, I can understand why they did that. Hope she is the main villain of s3 Episodes 2-4: I loved these batch of episodes. All of the challenges were pretty fun. Prileb was tolerable these episodes. Ripaxel was pretty entertaining in these episodes. Chase and Millie getting out back to back is amazing. The only issue I probably have with these batch of episodes is Emma being wasted. Other than that, these were great episodes. Episodes 5 and 6:My favorite part of the season by far. The challenges especially the ice castle one was fun and entertaining. The interactions between the characters peak here imo. Nichelle actually talks to people. Prileb is honestly great in episodes 5 and 6 imo. Nichelle going 5th did suck but I am glad it happened. It makes sense, it’s a good plot twist to the viewers, and it helps Julia as a villain. Episode 6 is also great with building development with Damien. Although I do feel bad for Mk I feel like giving her karma is a good choice. Although Bowie going here stings. It does make sense as he was a finalist and his arc was finished. It also sets up an potential arc for Raj by him avenging Bowie(which the writers didn’t do sadly). Overall my favorite batch of episodes Episodes 7-8: I really liked episode 7, but like what you said, it’s a filler episode. I didn’t really find Ripaxel funny in episode 5 and 6, but in episode 7 they are pretty funny to me for some reason. Ripaxel going here makes a lot of sense but the way Ripper went out by quitting sucks. It was pretty out of character imo. I would just make the votes be a tie and then Chris decides to eliminate both of them. But yeah, despite this episode just being filler I enjoyed it. But now in episode 8 is when things start to go down hill. Prileb becomes kinda annoying now instead of being cute, mainly because all Priya wants to do now is kiss Caleb. The way Zee got out was forced and sad. Also this episodes challenge was pretty boring imo. Episodes 9-13:This is the dark ages of the season….Mk,Damien, and Raj getting out all back to back for more Prileb is absurd. I agree with you. They should of ended in episode 10. Julia is one of my favorite characters in the entire franchise but even I can admit that her constant getting “this person out offscreen.” was tiring. But she was still really entertaining in these past episodes. Raj and mainly Wayne we’re both funny as hell. But everyone else….Mk and Damien were just used as fodder for prileb unfortunately. I wouldn’t hate Prileb if it ended in episode 10! Like why did the writers do this. I am so glad Wayne won as well. I would be happy with Julia winning also, but Caleb winning would have sucked. Overall:This season had a great first half. But the second half unfortunately sucked. Imo a 6.5/10 season.
What do you mean next season? What would be the point? The writers are just going to give Plot Armor x 87,364 to Julia. It'd be even worse than Season 1! They really will ruin an entire season and change every character's personality (by making them dumb and gullible) just to keep Julia in. Not even a good villain; so transparent, but she just...magically had the answer to save herself? It's insulting. They didn't show even half of her actual gameplay. It's laziness and they should be fucking ashamed. It's a bad look because it makes it seem like they didn't give a shit except for Caleb/Priya's story which was honestly decent. I can't take a third season of the same shit.
i’m surprised you liked this season more than the previous one. the pryia and caleb storyline totally ruined the season for me but it’s cool that you enjoyed it.
Imo, Julia is one of the worst TD villains. She was genuinely becoming one of my favorites in the second season reboot up until they eliminated MK over her (she couldve easily been swapped out and given the new role as antagonist). After that, it just felt like the Priyleb plot, she was connected with them altogether and took over the season basically. Deciding to make Julia the antagonist again is like Heather being the antagonist for TDA again and making it all the way to the end again. The fact she was written as such a dominant, strategic player barely gave any other characters a chance to fight back. (This reminds me of Mal who has total plot armor and is unstoppable). It became more and more frustrating seeing how she got away with the biggest, boldest outright lie, along with faulty strategies that wouldve easily sent her home in the first season. She was basically pushed over the limits as a villain to the point everyone else couldn't be strategic any more like in Season 1 She's basically the antagonist version of Zoey in which she becomes the protagonist twice in two seasons and makes it all the way to the end. I just couldn't bring myself to root for her in the end, Wayne saved me from that bore of a finale. In the end, Caleb and Julia were just too boring of picks to actually win.
If they did a new season without a 100% new cast, I would swap Emma, Chase, Millie, Hockey Bros, and Caleb/Prya with new characters. None have anything interesting left to explore. Raj tanks Bowie's gameplay, and the others have fully explored characters, and I don't see them doing anything but making the game more stale.
Too much hate for this season in the comments. IT IS BETTER THAN SEASON 1. Okey, the firsts elimimations were boring and predictable. Scary Giril needed to be an early boote sinche she does not have an arc. Chase and Millie and Emma had a lot of screentime in season 1 so well, glad they are out early. Ok, all love Nishelle, but her only "arc" was being good in challenges. I think 5 episodes with her was good enough and her elimimation was too good and unpredictable. Bowie needed to be out in episode 6 since the chesting arc had already finished after merge. And there had to be space for the antagonists of Mk and Julia. Ok, Ripper and Axel, at the beginning it was interesting that couple, but then the writers didnt know what to do with them, glad they were out at episode 7. OMG ZEE I HATE THAT CHARACTER, HE LASTS TOO LONG IN BOTH SEASONS. Her arc of knowing Priyas secret was boring. That arc could had it Raj and has sense of staying him for the final 5 (later i will talk about him). Zee was borimg not funny and lasted too much. Okey, at episode 9 Mk elimimation was bad. Like, i think she could lasted some episodes more, but i would actually changed her with Demian. Mk could have one more episode, but i think they elimimated her so that Julia could act as the main antagonist. However, Mk carried the season with the Cheating arc, i enjoyed it a lot. Demians elimimation on episode 10 was great, many wanted Priya, but i think she had to leave at episode 11. Demian i liked it, i thought he was becoming an interesting after he won immunity at episode 6, i thought he was going to become more strong and face his fears, but the only thing they put to him was the idol, so boring. Okey Raj elimination at episode 11 was great, he was boring and lasted too long with DOING ANYTHING. Episode 12 was so good, Priya being elimimated by JULIA I LOVE IT. Okey All hate Priya but her arc with Caleb was never seen. I enjoyed it, i would place her in 5th place and not 4th, but she was NECESSERALY FOR THIS SEASON. The finale i like it, Wayne didnt deserved to win he didnt to anything but he is a nice guy so idk. Caleb was an interesting character, he was an "Anti Hero" and was smart and had potential. And Julia carried the season and deserved to win SHE WAS TOO SMART AND ELIMINATED A LOT OF PEOPLE. This season was better than season 1 AND WAS TOO FUNNY. PLS ANSWER THIS IT TOOK TOO LONG.
there is so much about this season that I think is done way better than season 1 so even with it’s flaws I had so much fun watching and JULIA WAS ROBBED
This season was awful. Damien getting eliminated was completely dumb. weak finale, terrible final 4 and forgettable winners. I have no idea what show you are watching calling it a MASSIVE success.
Okay, hear me out, if they add new characters next season, the new girl should be that intern. Let her screw up something in the first episode that pisses off Chris so badly, that as punishment, Chris forces her to become a contestant
true. she has more connections than nichelle
What new girl?
@@Greenwonders6597 Well, if they add new characters to this cast, they'd have to add a male and a female. Like Sierra and Alejandro
I really want her as a contestant. I like her design and she has potential to get decently far
That would be perfect and then if there is a new boy they should make it some type of explorer
Emma never had any potential.
I just realized that priya and Caleb when together stop being priya and Caleb, and start being the daters/haters from ridiculous race, especially in episode 12
YES! They are completely different characters than when they are separated
Likewise, Ripper and Axel just become Geoff and Bridgette from Total Drama Action
atleast Stephanie's insanity and Ryan's reactions were funny. There was nothing fun about Priya or Caleb when together ):
their ongoing arc also reminds me of trent and gwen tdi, due to the fact that things ( heather, the phobia challenge) kept on ruining their relationship just like zee and julia’s “help” but they end up together in the end ( for now….) 😐
Agreed this so reminded me of them
I agree that Caleb and Priya's screentime is too much. The writers really robbed Damien and I expected him to go to the Final 5 but nah, romantic tension is more important since it what makes the "plot progress"
Wayne winning was the saving grace for this season, he's like Geoff (without Bridgette) and Owen combined!
The end of the comment reminded me of IOTS
Definitely loved the 3 person finale change where all 3 actually compete, just disappointed that both the villains that made the end lost which makes you wonder if the “hero win” is always gonna happen. Also though Damien and Raj’s eliminations were pretty bad at the end
Bowie’s elimination was pretty BS considering anybody is trusting what Julia says
The end game was a complete mess to get their precious Priya and Caleb storyline to the final 4
Why are Damien and Raj's elimination bad? Both made sense when you think about. The only bad aspect was that they didn't show Julia stealing the idol.
Poorly explained and I don’t see why Julia would target Raj over Caleb or Priya who are both more physically capable and strategic than the hockey
While I’m at it I’d say that Nichelle’s was pretty bad too, and I find the entire Ripper and Axel double elimination extremely poorly done, nobody even brings up that Axel is a threat until after she’s eliminated and Ripper going out like that was bizarre and I wasn’t even sure if it was a double until Chris said so
@XanderMatthews-nv9zf
Julia wanted to vote Priya off, but she couldn't because Wayne & Raj were set on voting Caleb.
In the first season it's Pryia, who has been preparing her entire life for Total Drama, and then there was Wayne who literally forgot there was a price
It's absolutely perfect
They could have salvaged the Kaleb/Priya stuff if they ended it at the Final 6 and let Julia idol out Damien at 4
Fr! By that point it would've made sense for Julia to want Priya out over Damien since Priya is a bigger threat. Hello? "I trained for this my whole life" was literally right there. Ah well. At least Julia using the idol at all on someone was satisfying imo
@@nostalgiameadows23 Yeah, she should have let Priya and Kaleb go at 6 and 5. Idol'd out Damien at 4, and then went up against Wayne and Raj at 3
Excited to hear your review of season 2!
Lmao
tbh priya lasted way longer than she should’ve
Emma earned that elimination. She should have realized she wasn't good and stepped aside or just get over her team ignoring her. She put her team at risk and got axed
Isn’t this the season where an animated version of Gabler wins
One thing I was not expecting was liking Wayne, he was a floater the entire season but the fear episode really showed why he deserved to win. He was a genuine nice guy. Just wish there were more episodes with him on his own
MK and Julia are great as a duo, but shipping them into a romantic relationship would be VERY out of character for both of them
Out of character how lol? Because they’re villains? It was VERY obvious they were teasing a relationship. Very queer baitery
@@aaronemerson8049 No, its obvious that you've mistaken a close friendship for a relationship. Theres already 3 relationships on the show, including an LGBT one
@@BigMattXXL yes because MK repeatedly saying “you like me” at Julia and Julia blushing is such a clear indication of friendship
@@aaronemerson8049 Are you just not able to pick up on sarcasm? Friends tease each other like that all the time
@@BigMattXXL Righhhhttt lol
ep 7 is great cuz caleb and priya get almost no screentime
I’m not mad at Julia messing with Nichelle, I’m just disappointed Nichelle friggin’ QUITS (which was the first big red flag of the season for me)…and this is only the second worst elimination of the season…
I am glad they gave Bowie karma for his actions in the finale last season.
Although, you could easily have left MK in until Final 5, and eliminate her the same way and it still would have worked
…What else can I say about Damien other than he was fricking ROBBED, and everyone, even people who don’t care for Damien, admit this was by far the worst elimination of the whole season.
I love reading and hearing ur thoughts and opinions even if they are different from mine, it’s cool to see other people’s perspectives
HUGE missed opportunity for MK to be the one to steal the idol considering she’s been shown to pickpocket somebody’s wallet lmao.
Priya is my girl and i love that she won but not having bowie as a winner is the dumbest desicion cuz he played an amazing game
Yeah I wish there was alt endings
I agree. I feel the same about Season 2 Julia
It’s agreed upon the fan based and the creators said it themselves and they say Owen is the cannon winner of island
1 thing i think total drama seasons need is a redemption round probably right after the merge
Season 3 coming soon
I’ve always wanted to check it out but I’ve stopped myself, I would love to watch and make a video about it sometime because I’ve heard great things about it
@@iambeanss Definitely do when you have the time!
They also made it cannon in the episode that Owen was on that Owen is the winner of season 1
Wait, so this season takes place a year later than last season?
8:57 Wayne and Raj top tier characters??? They waste two spots in a season and just say the most stupid shit imaginable
Quick thought about a possible season 3.
While there's not all that much possible development left for individuals this season set up couples:
Priya/Caleb, MK/Julia, Axel/Ripper, Raj/Wayne or Raj/Bowie. (I preferred Bowie as a couch for the Hockey Bros.)
That's a better set up for Ridonculous Race 2.
Hey not to rush idk if you working on it but are you gonna do the world tour ranking I enjoyed the action and island one a lot and I would really like too see your thought on world tour btw I’m not rushing
less than 2 weeks away :)
@@iambeanss I’m so excited to see your thoughts I love your videos
I really enjoyed this season!
But one of my biggest problems with this season is the Priya and Caleb relationship. It felt like every episode Priya flipped between loving Damien to hating him.
I also didn't really like MK and Julia this season, which I don't know if that's what the writers intended. But either way I didn't like them.
But other than those two things, this was the most enjoyable season I've seen in a LONG time!
I‘m really surprised you like Season 2 so much!
I really think Season 2‘s performance was weaker than Season 1‘s
At least after episode 8
Episode 1-8 was great, better than Season 1
But everything else and especially the finale ruined the second season for me
I really liked Julia, but the final episodes made me dislike her
The Priya and Caleb story got stretched too much and the eliminations like Damien were ridiculous
So Season 2 had a really good run for me until Episode 8
I was unfortunately not enjoying it after episode 8
I hope we get another season that will rock 🥺
They shouldn’t have made Julia the villain twice it really got in the way of Nichelles potential. But I did enjoy this season.
MASSIVE disappointment more like it. Damien got screwed over.
Yeah the writers knew it makes the most sense for Damien to win but of course the black dude isn't allowed to win smh garbage show

i felt so bad for damien, for once he was kinda lucky, and his immunity idol got stolen, while i loved julia, this time i was genuinely mad at her lol
aslso youve been trashing on priya and caleb storyline a lot, but honestly i think it was okay, it was better than caleb doing nothing or becoming another justin
Honestly, having the mkulia duo stay platonic is alright by me
As much as i love the idea of them as a couple, what makes their dynamic so good is that they work both platonically and romantically
BUT that "if mks brain drove a cool car id date it" line is beyond fruity and thats rlly funny
Chris should make Lauren an intern
Edit: im glad that im not the only one shipping Wayne and that random intern
I really enjoyed this season except for Damien and Bowie’s eliminations
Yess Wayne and raj are top tire. I love them.
Glad to know someone else ships Wayne with the intern girl.
Here’s my thoughts on the season
Episode 1: this was a great way to start the new season. The reintroduction of the characters is great and is probably the best reintroduction in the series. The challenge was also pretty entertaining. Although it sucks that Scary girl was first boot, I can understand why they did that. Hope she is the main villain of s3
Episodes 2-4: I loved these batch of episodes.
Overall my favorite batch of episodes
Episodes 7-8: I really liked episode 7, but like what you said, it’s a filler episode.
I don’t care if episode 7 is a filler. It’s my favorite because OWEN!!!
Ok,but… what game are you playing?
Goose goose duck!
Priya needs to be first boot next season.
Well you have to think about it she can’t be booted that early
i’m surprised you liked this season more than the previous one. the pryia and caleb storyline totally ruined the season for me but it’s cool that you enjoyed it.
I think everything else besides the Priya and Caleb storyline was better than season 1
She was basically pushed over the limits as a villain to the point everyone else couldn't be strategic any more like in Season 1
She's basically the antagonist version of Zoey in which she becomes the protagonist twice in two seasons and makes it all the way to the end. I just couldn't bring myself to root for her in the end, Wayne saved me from that bore of a finale. In the end, Caleb and Julia were just too boring of picks to actually win.
I like this show
Ok hear me out prya and Caleb story line was bad yes.. but…worst in all of total drama no a big no nothing beats the mal story line of all stars
i didnt think it was that bad, just that it took way too much time. pryia shouldve been booted on the episode damien left.
Im more into the gameplay than the video
this man just dislikes any character that does something evil/mean without being a villain
Worst season of the show, by far
This season was awful. Damien getting eliminated was completely dumb. weak finale, terrible final 4 and forgettable winners. I have no idea what show you are watching calling it a MASSIVE success.
TD fans loving the show and complaining about it totally wanted more seasons
So basically, ripper and Axel are Bridget and Geoff in action, but they get farther
