That fat boat really needs a s3 shield, such a easy target.
@@DakkaDakka12It should be fast enough to outrun most threats. It is the Mercury Star RUNNER, not the Mercury Star Tank. If you give S3 shields to the MSR, you just end up making the 400i obsolete since a larger shield size is the only thing the 400i has over the MSR, while the MSR is otherwise better in every other area.
@@jodofe4879agreed. 400i also genuinely needs to not have 2 rear facing turrets. I think where the top turret is should be a massive radar disc that doesn't block the windows view. And there should be a remote gunner that faces forward. Either with a small turret on the nose, or where they control the current pilot guns, and the pilot gets smaller ones on the far sides. For what it's worth, I think the 400i should be able to protect itself with a turret gunner and engineer. In fact, I really think explorers should be very slow in combat mode, but be something that's very hard to kill bc of powerful turrets. I think explorers need a whole rebalance
@@jodofe4879 "Should" is the operative word there, but it's not faster than the stuff that can destroy it. I'm afraid MM will make it even worse.
@@Efiloy Turn off your guns and the turret won't block the view. Since the default for all ships is guns out and people always want to be ready for the fight, they keep them out. But when you turn off guns, many ships retract them into the hull.

Just had a quick go. Character customizer is good. Doors are a pain to open. Delivery mission spawning box in ground. Couldn't work out how to take armour out of loot boxes without swapping what i was wearing. Looking forward to finding animals.
I’ve been waiting for creatures to get added to the game for the longest time, to finally see it happen live is insane. Here’s to many more to come

WIth master modes, I'll be surprised if the MSR isn't tanky enough to soak up some shots and get away.
With Master Modes it can get away because the only way to properly damage ships now is by sub-targeting their components.

I learned that there is a big difference in the experience from the promotional videos and what I actually experience in the game. So yea, I will download it, I will try it, and then the npcs dont move or stand dumb in a conor or just glitch behind me. I anticipate the alien creates to just stand still akwardly but I hoepe I am wrong.
But what we really want to know is...
Did they finally fix the elevators?
Not really and the room could not be unlock for me I had to restart the game, so ... 10 year.

0:56 I dipped my A2 in water once and it exploded. If my ship can go into space it should be able to go underwater, or at least land and float in the water. Would be really cool to have the latter though.
Positive exterior hull pressure vs. negative exterior hull pressure.
Plus I doubt thrusters work under water.
Hope my grandkids will be alive still when this releases

@@ironman98 Alpha Testing is done within the organization, while Beta Testing is done in the user's environment. During Alpha Testing only functionality and usability are tested, while during Beta Testing usability, functionality, security, and reliability are tested to the same depth - no?

love this patch, it has been working beautifully for me on max 1440p settings and even when the frame rate is low, the frame pacing is buttery smooth. this is the best patch i have EVER played from CIG since 2016. loving the progress, the additions, the qols features, the gameplay, the tech and the stability. keep up the fantastic work and if this first patch is anything to go by, 2024 will going down as Star Citizens best year and such a monumental shift in people having a more positive attitude towards the games. O7

Also actually there is 24 of the 56 announced features at citizen con for 2024 in Live and they only have 6 and a half month to do the 32 other features. Lots of streamer said "3.23 is the biggest patch ever made bla bla bla" It's not the biggest patch at all however it's a big step forward in techno and that's a good thing.

It's said to be added in a post-update patch, which historically they have followed through with. Such was with Hurston for instance, it didn't release in the patch itself but in a post-patch update. (That, or at least one of the planets was but I was under the influence it was Hurston)

The MSR only has the health of the Cutlass Black and the poor S2 shields, so there is no way it can survive.

@@kennethjensen730 You can trade, mine, bounty hunt, pirate, explore caves and do missions. Those are the basic requirements for gameplay. It is in fact a game, moreso than anything Ubisoft or EA has put out in the last 12 years.

because we're looking forward to it and I think the day is a lot like Mass Effect

The graphics look a lot better
Playing in 1440 or 4K tends to do that. Plus yes. There are upgraded graphics yes. And the new character faces really help too. Like wow.
I’ve been following the development of this game since 2016. It’s insane how far it’s come. Yes, it’s taking awhile. But there’s No other game that does what Star Citizen is doing and setting out to become. This game just continues to grow and get better and better. Hats off to the devs. This update is huge.
I can’t wait for Server Meshing in 4.0. Once that happens.. this game is going to blow up HUGE.
SC has gone so far that no game can now compete with it, similar thing happened with WoW. So huge games that there is not even a any other studio in the world bothering to compete with SC.
And the best is still to come.. 4.0 will be crazy.

Having seen this game come from the first hangar module you could barely interact with to this... I'm literally in tears right now
Not as emotionally moved myself, but it has been quite the ride. To say they have not improved anything is beyond disingenuous, but rarely are such leaps made in a patch.

Their video are made in local, on realy powerfull computer, and totaly senarised. They also restart their recording if any bug or any undesired things happen.

Someone should make a satirical vid showing split screen comparisons between this promo video and the reality in the PU.
They should also show the hour long wait in the queue just for the privilege to log in.

With how much money they ask for even the most basic ship there should be no issue with queue. It's not like it would be hard for them to prevent this from happening...

And every online multiplayer game has this issue. I play two mmo's, both of them have queues on major patch days right when the servers come up.

These commercials are getting really great.
Master modes is terrible and I hate it. It takes away player freedom and dumbs alot of things down. No shields in nav mode? But nav mode is the only way to get away? Wtf?? 200 meters per second fighting?? Why?? I don't wana play with the current 3.23 flight mechanics, it really sucks....

12 years later the game has the most underwhelming gun effects, I have to squint just to see my ship firing in this game xD
I really wish they would make them sound more impactful, an Ares Inferno gun run should be terrifying on the ground. They reworked the thruster sound on a lot of ships, I hope this carries over to the guns as well.

I want to remind everyone that this is a near billion dollar company that is advertising some of the most basic game assets and features that others have had for decades that young developers (myself included) have learned how to implement into entry level college course projects.

Agreed, this game has been in development for 12 years and it's still essentially just a sandbox to fly your comically expensive ships with horribly low fps.
Every 6 months or so I'll boot up the game to see what it's like now and it's always a disappointment. I massively regret spending the amount of money I've spent on this money-grab.
I think people got upset with Tarkov because it was a "normal" game that started asking for a lot of money, whereas Star Citizen has been charging extortionate amounts of money for individual items from the start. People who play this game are used to it and won't be surprised when devs ask for multiple thousands of dollars for a single ship in a video game.
Buying skins in games is fine, but buying impactful items like massive ships is pay to win...
