I stopped myself from "Looking" by looking at the position of the disc as it passes under my chin...
I know where the target is.. I've envisioned my path to get there... now I don't need to look, I just want to make sure the disc went through flat (I then tip forward or back to shape.. and shape I do.. I have only just outgrown throwing only 10 discs but that left me with a good idea what I can do with each disc to put it in different places).
There are a couple of Home turf holes I only see the disc flying for a sec as I spin round and end a complete step around to see it landing... I can basically close my eyes on the pull/release...
(and think there's a great club round there... Doubles where the thrower is blindfolded on the tee after looking at the basket... and the partner helps aim their arm at the basket, then their tee is thrown blind standstill.)

Trying to watch the disc be pulled through your chest instead of trying to look and see where it goes is a really good habit and skill to have, it helps so many things
I’m actually making a video soon talking about that!

@@GingerSnapDiscGolf On my local there is an 'interesting' forest shot... Astroturf platform tee on the side of a slope. Side slope (down right) open through trees to a huge tree base 160ft slightly up hill, then you turn to 2pm for another 70 ft down, across a rocky ditch to the basket (about 15ft past the ditch...
I grab my Diamond.. look at the tree... lokk at the disc and never look right again until the disc has gone... I'm too busy making sure that disc is dead level and overthrown...
too high and it catches the MANY overhead branches on the exit right... low, it hits pine roots... (although more chance of a skip than those 50ft thick little branches above .. too slow, it pulls right and into the trees (which I am sure are also 50ft thick).. too straight, that tree at the end does a great impersonation of a side of a bus..
too Anhyzer.. if it makes the gap on the right.. it cut rolls left .. away up hill...
too hyzer and it collects the hill/more trees, more roots.. or goes behind the buss and out on to the fairway.
Oh and if it makes it to the ditch.. it usually stops dead on the rocks...
basically theres no point in looking , it usually end up bad.. so I just look at the disc and make sure it goes out flat...
Oddly I managed to park it in a night game when al I could see was the Bus. uhh tree at the end.
(Did I mention although it's in trees there can be a head/tail wind.. and across the ditch can be a wind tunnel...
I'm thinking of taking up Skydiving.. I think far less stress...

@@TheButlerNZ 😂 there is no chance I would ever sky dive.. I would much rather stress about disc golf choices and shots

Actually I went for a drive to the coast.. (uhh I live by the coast.. but this was another one)...
When there, walked round the point and up a track, there was 2 guys paraponting... One looked like he was packing his chute away.. Apparently he brought his double along but his friend couldn't make it and the chute was too big for a single...
Asked if I wanted to have a go... Jumped at the chance... err to jump off a cliff... with no previous experience. (He was a trainer which is why he had no issues grabbing the 1st passerby for a ride (this is a remote coast so we were probably the only passerby's that day)...
Was a bit like sitting in an armchair... as it floated off a cliff and over the ocean..
(Course I was actually joking about parachuting... Why jump out of a perfectly good plane... Why fly in a plane when I have feet... Hmmm guess I'm lucky I didn't use that analogy when I took up trail bike riding.
