It's vert rare to hear anything good about Phillippine food, I don't have any experience myself but the curry shop food in this vid and the food at the home fiesta video looks really good.....surely it's not just a myth that the food isn't rated worldwide???
I will be honest, from my experience hardly anyone uses spices here, and if anything, magic sarap is usually cooked very simply, so people will complain. There are many tasty Filipino dishes but they need to be properly cooked, such as my favorite bicol express or kinilaw with coconut milk.
Beautiful family and wonderful place. I am third generation Polish-American married to a Panamanian. The Philippines reminds me of Panama and so I enjoy your adventures. Can you find kielbasa and pierogi in the nearest city?

Calix is a very shy child and always runs away from the camera, which doesn't mean we don't pay attention to him. He is also big enough that he often just prefers to play alone or with other kids.
