As for Wagner, Russia admitted they were organized there and were supported by Russia from the beginning. The problem was that Putin wanted to bring Wagner under direct control of the Russian military, which Prigozhin not only opposed but caused the attempted coup...and P's ultimate assassination.
I would recommend the fat electrician if you haven't already viewed him. He covers military stuff and military historic stuff in a fun and interesting way.

The amount of firepower the US brought down on that convoy was beyond overkill. But that level of shock and awe sent a very clear message. Like that one guy from Wagner said, "made their f_____ point."
Russia, as we've learned from Ukraine have been an awful lot of talk for decades. All bluster and little substance.

Wagner works almost exclusively for Russia. Well, they did. They have been disbanded. But, still operate in Africa, but under a different name.
