A huge improvement on the first video, lovely collection of stock and amazing scenic additions in real local shale. Congratulations to Weyland for his skills and thanks to Ian for sharing this railway. Peter.
Thanks Peter! He has indeed done a lovely job with this. The engine shed is now almost complete; I had Weyland round earlier to watch the vid (before I made it live), and he showed me a photo....it looks brilliant. Looking forward to seeing your amazing railway again soon.
Lovely to see Weyland’s line - it’s really great. Even better to see some of the same characters and stock that populate the FeckHallBahn!! Is the QH a PDF Models kit??
Thank you, I use a 50/50 mix of pva and cement mixed to a consistency similar to clotted cream and I pva the side of the slate to be stuck to the building, all the slate walling is constructed using a sharp sand and cement mix with a mortar frost-proofing additive added to the mix the mortar ratio is 4:1 and 5mils of additive…..
That's a great garden railway, I don't know if I dare show it to my grandson. It'll only give him silly ideas, much like when we went to the garden railway exhibition at Barrow Hill Roundhouse last year (he made a video of that which is on his channel) . Speaking of which, there should be an update video of his 009 layout coming up this weekend. He's put another stop-motion video on 'School Holidays' the other day....cheers James 🙂👍
Great Railway thanks for sharing Ian !!
@@saltleywsc Cheers mate!
Thanks
Loved the layout. Those slate features must have taken ages to finish. Many thanks for sharing.
Thank you and yes the slate works are a labour of love…😂😂😂
Great video, love the whippet in the background! Also nicely done railway and video shots.
Thanks for the comments Neil, and Oscar looks like a whippet but he is actually an Italian Greyhound and is spoilt rotten 😂
@@weylandpitney6364 love a sightgound. Don't see Jasper much but he's my ex's whippet,. Lovely dogs.
I would just like to mention Ian has done a great job putting this video together for me…..Thanks matey
@@weylandpitney6364 Thanks matey! Enjoyed making it very much! Love your railway.
Someone else for me to be jealous of !
Watching this has got me thinking of how I can achieve something !
Thanks for the comment and I would say just bite the bullet and go for it..
Excellent! Always good to know that!
What a wonderful garden railway! What a great friend to have! Nice camera work AND editing!
Thanks so much David!
The slate wall on the dogbone loop is a work of art.
Thank you it took about a week to construct and a couple of days sorting and cutting the slate to size but it was worth it…

Peter.
Thanks Peter I’ve still got plenty more to do on the line so it’s along way from being finished…

Excellent model railway. What does he use to stick the small slate pieces together to make his buildings?

😎 , Is it live rail or onboard battery ?
Hi Christopher it is all dead rail with all locos being battery RC.
Battery and remote control.
