@coppertop2710 Yeah, I'm pretty sure Higginbotham was thinking "Alright, I'm going to try and shepherd Mitchell so Ben Lucas could clear the ball under less pressure.. and while I'm at it I'll try to give him a season-ending injury." It happens all the time man, there was no malice or intent by Higgers. Just a very unfortunate accident.
@coppertop2710 yeah higginbottom did check him - something that happens all the time. But there is no way he has done that thinking - "hey i hope i injure him if i do this". Also, the impediment wasnt even enough for the touch judge to take notice.
@ThomasFMurray1 Fair play, you can keep running your line, even though its slower than Mitchell. He wasn't running towards him, he was going in the same direction. Perfectly legal but a horrible injury.
@BillabongHero he didnt kick him that was his running stride. and its the other ankle that got dislocated or whatever not the one that he kicks him with.
Even though i thoughroughyly (lol) support NZ its terrible to see things like this happen anytime let alone world cup year but what confuses me is .........well i think it was unintentional as they are both from Aussie and both probably want to win the RWC Hope you get back on your feet soon Drew...
@sniper2606 Mitchell was about to run past higginbottom but at the last second higginbottom blocked him and he tripped and seriously fucked up his ankle
@coppertop2710 A south african dissing 'dirty' play? thats a pit rich. Blocking always happens in games, its not like Scott was thinking "hey maybe if i get in front of him i can break his leg!"
Cant believe the touch judge didn't see that as deliberate blocking! In all fairness though I think he was watching the ball. But still, shit play from Higgers. Drew.. how we will miss you at the RWC!!
Everybody thank higginbotham for robbing the wallabies of their form winger in a world cup year. Nice to know those beers that helped him "bulk up" didn't kill any of his brain cells
@Branagh95 I know i agree that they continually under achieve but we will win this year we are hosting i mean we have SONNY BILL WILLIAMS!!! and yes ireland will over achieve most likely but they wont win if anyone it will be NZ -AU-SA- or France
Agree with Glitch113, Higginbotham watched Mitchell and purposely changed his line to impede. Yes you can hold your ground but it's a foul to step into a chasers line to intentionally obstruct. @thecoldoneminecraft - you're just a Nob Jockey.
He was deliberately blocked thats out of order the reds player effectively caused that injury. Thats surely as serious offense ie. illegal play leading to serious injury?
@Croga15 - Because having seen this only now for the first time its clear as the tattoo on SBW arm that Higginbottom deliberately changed direction intentionally the last minute to impede Mitchell. Pathetic tosser. As a South African I am sad we won't be seeing him at the world cup. He's a quality player and always worth watching (Even if he is running circles around our guys)
@thecheezykiwi yes but ireland have THEE keith earls... no but really, annoying as it is, i think could possibly win it this year, they are always good at the world cup and are shit every other year :/ :'(
@flemjob watch it again - scott watched drew and stepped well off his line ie a meter to the left to block him - 100% foul play. I'm a bulls & bok supporter so no vested interests.

Good to see the support staff right onto him quick smart with sedation and popping the ankle back in.
Get well soon Drew and chin up.
ABz supporter from enzed, but Drew Mitchell one of my favourite players, get well soon mate, and hope to see you over here for RWC

Fuck you're stupid.

@TheColdOneMinecraft What did he ever do for that suit him right?
@cctec it happed to ramsey and it took 9 minutes to get him off the pitch and about 3 players where crying?

the rest of the team seemed unfazed about drew lying on the ground....

@sniper2606 Mitchell was about to run past higginbottom but at the last second higginbottom blocked him and he tripped and seriously fucked up his ankle
@coppertop2710 Hes fit and ready to go! YOU WILL BE SEEING THE ROOSTER!!

@sohailsabar4 Sorry dude it looks like, at the least, he was trying to impede the runner.
How the fuck did he manage to fall that badly. And run into someone where he had 10 yards to decide how to avoid them.
@Branagh95 .....someones a bit hopeful NEW ZEALAND FOR THE CUP!!!!!!
Poor lad..
Everybody thank higginbotham for robbing the wallabies of their form winger in a world cup year. Nice to know those beers that helped him "bulk up" didn't kill any of his brain cells
i seriously cant see what happened

Unlucky allround.
Blatant dive.

@thecoldoneminecraft - you're just a Nob Jockey.
@maristsp Mate i dont even like gayFL, and mitchell gone can only up new doors for NEW players that are great attacking options...like Digby or Mcabe.

@TheColdOneMinecraft now thats not very sporting :P
Did he die?
@Kelbert88 Hahahaha did you just call rugby SOFT??? Yeah as opposed to all the other hard man sports like soccer and basketball
@thecheezykiwi yes but ireland have THEE keith earls... no but really, annoying as it is, i think could possibly win it this year, they are always good at the world cup and are shit every other year :/ :'(

shame he is going to miss the world cup
there goes australias world cup............ bahahahahahahahahah
That reds player. Will he face some kind of tribunal? To an un trained eye that looks rather meditated.
RIP English language
haha suits him right, hope he stays out for the world cup :)
