I'll never forget the first day I played temple run when I was a kid, I played temple run OZ on my uncle's phone and was hooked so my other uncle downloaded temple run 2 and I loved that too, and if it wasn't for them i wouldn't know who usain bolt was. Subway surfes is "slow" because it has a quest system which rewards you with currency and levels, latter is important because it automatically scales your "speed multiplier." It's a pretty hidden stat that newcomers and casual players won't notice. I think from lvl 30 onward subway surfers starts pretty fast

I for one really liked the tilt controls of the original games. Made the game feel different from other mobile games, added a little more physical skill to it.
Fun fact I met the creator of temple run when I was on vacation in Hawaii. We were at a pineapple farm on a tour which was incredibly boring. Really the only memorable part about it was meeting him. He was with his wife and son and he seemed just as bored as I was. He was on his phone the whole time

Through the rose tinted glasses of my youth I'm certain the greatest endless runner was the spiderman game. I'm pretty sure it featured changing environments, boss battles and a near endless roster of unlockable spidermen and women. I will not attempt to variefy any of these claims in fear of 1. Finding out it no longer exists or 2. Becoming hopelessly addicted. The idea that it isn't as good as I remember is non existant because I know it's S teir and will die on this hill.

Hope they improve and add some more excitement to it.
