My first experience with Patti LaBell and the Blue Birds was at the Uptown Theater in 1964. R I P Sarah Dash God has called you home. Your Job was Well Done You SONG BIRD.❤🎉
I just found out and am crying my heart and eyes out. I was a HUGE fan of Labelle and have followed Patti after their breakup. I call my mother every morning to tell her good morning and see how she is doing/feeling and she said," I hear Patti in the background" and I told her he I am watching the final Labelle concert on UA-cam when she said,"didn't one of them just pass away yesterday?" I couldn't speak because my hear sank. I told mom I haven't heard anything. She said ,"oh son,I'm sorry you have to hear it this way but it was announced on world news last night." She didn't know which one so I googled it. Rest in Christ Sara. You were an angel here on Earth and now have your well deserved wings so I know you are flying with the millions of other er heavenly Angel's. I remember meeting you and you grabbed me and gave me the warmest, biggest hug and a sweet kiss on the cheek. I will NEVER forget that night and you. Rest dear soul and be with our heavenly father and your family now. Love you abundantly sweet Sara.
Im so glad they paid respect to her .. Patti wasn't the only member to make music or make a difference in the black community. Hats off to you Ms. Dash 👏👏👏👍👍👍

Her talent is my saving grace hearing her with LaBelle. I saw them perform in NYC in the 70's! Wonderful memories of the three of them was just life extending for me. I was fortunate to see them in their Lady Marmalade days. So creative and beautiful.❤️🙏🏼💋🌅✨💯
They forgot to mention year 1982 when Patrick Cowley produced 2 records for Sarah, "Lucky Tonight" was a big dance hit , and it's still played these days in the clubs where they play Hi-Energy music, another song produced by Patrick Cowley same year "Low Down Dirty Rhythm "
Rest in precious peace, Ms Dash. Thank you for the legacy with your angelic, powerful and piercing soprano!

Wow awesome
I had no idea it was a British producer who saw them and ultimately changed their image. Same thing happened with Tina Turner and Jimi Hendrix.
