Nice vid. We decided to pass on the Garden of Eeaten. It just did nothing for us unfortunately. Expected to be buying it for sure, but in person, we were pretty underwhelmed. Our #1 is definitely the Tilt N' Hurl.
Graveyard Party was my absolute favorite this year!!! Prob my favorite building ever!! I put it as the center piece of my village and designed my village around it. Absolutely love it!! 🎃🎃🎃
Doctor's pins and needles was in my top5 this year I love it so much! But my #1 is deff the tilt n hurl and graveyard party. I couldnt decide which one I like more 🥰
Great top 5 I’ll tell ya tho, must’ve been hard with Lemax having such a strong year. I do agree however that Dept 56 did have a bit of a weak Halloween this year. For me the number one is definitely the Graveyard Party. I love the Haunted Mansion in Disney, and like you mentioned it’s very reminiscent of that. I’m also a big showpiece person. I love the huge buildings with tons of animation and crazy lighting. So the graveyard party feels like it was just built for me
Really depends on how long they produce it, I'd guess. It's much cheaper and its smaller than hemlocks, so you'd think they probably will wind up making more.
2nd! Yay! Top 5 for the top 5! I think your choices are good. Tilt "N"Hurl would be my 3 - yes, it's good, but very plastic and not detailed outside the ride, The party would be 1 because of all the detail and fun... and Garden of E would be 2. Great job as always. Here we go into fall! Happy Autumn to you, my friend! :-)
Thanks so much, and again, if we thanked you back when this came out! Halloween is a great time of year and by extending through your building and candle reviews makes for more Happy thoughts and memories. Happy Halloween. How many times can we push the " like' button? Will you post video of your Village ? On Halloween?
Surprise pick! Fun to see your choices. For me I’d go bat house (not amazing but I love bats and trick or treat houses), library, best buds (not super spooky but man I’m a sucker for dogs participating in Halloween and I love my downtown area), tilt n hurl and graveyard
Yeah Bat House was actually my biggest disappointment of the year. It's still cool and I love trick or treat houses, but I would've liked them to have it themed a bit heavier in bats!
Interesting video. I have been thinking of starting a Halloween village and I might pick up the library. That one caught my eye at Michael's along with a brewery and cafe because I really like witches. Like another commenter said in Cleveland there's still lots of these available- must not be so popular here.
5. The Haunted Library 4. Doctor Pins & Needles 3. Graveyard Party 2. Garden of Eaten 1. Til N Hurl I managed to get my hands on the Pins & Needles and the Garden of Eaten but still am searching for the Tilt n Hurl. Lots of Micheals near me are sold out. Wish me luck!
You know, if you wanted it, I'd sell you my tilt n hurl. I got mine at 60 percent off and all I'd charge would be shipping on top of that (i get a great deal on UPS shipping as well because of work!). Let me know if you are interested. I am going through a massive downsizing!
Thanks for posting this top 5 list; I think your choices are good, but oddly, Garden of Eaten isn't selling at my Michaels. I have started collecting Spooky Town this year (definitely have the library), and I think the 2019 collection is stunning. I love the Tilt'n'Hurl when saw it set up at my local Michaels store; then the next day it was completely broken (most of the pumpkins had flown off, and the people "hurled" out). I'm thinking that someone accidentally broke it--or do the pieces with moving parts sometimes fall apart?
Enjoyed the video. However, I didn't buy the Garden of Eaten. I bought the Tilt 'N Hurl and the Crazy Clown Express. Also, I just bought a Dragon's Breath Costume Shop. What I liked about it was that it also had a coffin maker and psychic reading shop. Do you know of any other pieces that have multiple shops? thanks
Great video Doug! Overall I concur with your top 5. I have to thank you again for scoring the D56 Apple Barn for us...we love it. T&H and Garden of Eaten are in our collection...great pieces! Picked up the Haunted Library tonight...great lighting and detail on it! I also agree that Lemax has topped D56 this year.
Recently discovered your channel and you’ve helped get me on my way to building up my own Halloween village! Out of curiosity, can you recommend any backdrops or platforms for the displays? I was looking online at a few options but was unsure of what might look best. Thank you! Love your channel!
I remember I was in Michaels holding the The garden of eaten, and wanting to buy it but I couldn't think of what it would match with in my collection so I didn't buy it. I really like the piece I just wish I could of matched it with something. Love your list. :D
I am going to be posting a buyer's guide this week! No, it's rare to ever get 60 percent anymore! Usually 30-40 is best you can do. SOMETIMES a 50 percent deal/coupon comes, but it's rare.
Menards is new to my area so I’m not really familiar with their coupon deals. Anyone know if they offer anything better than the standard 11%? They are much more expensive than Michael’s for Christmas Village stuff but they have different items. HELP! I’ve got about $800 queued up and need some inside knowledge!! You’ve been super helpful in blowing less money on the Spooky Town items this year. Thanks in advance!
Hey guys, This year I will be in USA all the way from Italy on honey moon. As we will be there during halloween season I would ask you guys... Where can we find some typical rural places where people still sell pumpkins like the house of the HONORABLE MENTION, maybe with some contest or something? Or places where there's nice lighted-up neighborhoods we can see? And first and foremost, good retailers of Lemax or Department 56? We'll be in Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia by car.
Does anyone have a recommendation for diy halloween village channels? I love the Lemax buildings that I bought this year, but the expense of buying whole sets is a bit daunting!
Spooky Villages My home state of 20+ years! Halloween is big down there. There are plenty of both theme parks and independent Halloween events. You’ll have plenty to do!
you would want to head to their website and look at the dealer locator. Big brand stores don't carry them, it's all smaller specialty retailers for the most part

I just saw the wicked wax works in person and I think it’s my favorite piece ever
Was the symphony of screams 2019
It was 2028

Glad you are digging it, it was an awesome release!
All are great on this list. I’m not much into dept 56 but overall nice! The tilt n hurl is my #1! Can’t wait to see your village!
yeah i really went back and forth on what to place!
Doctor's pins and needles was in my top5 this year I love it so much! But my #1 is deff the tilt n hurl and graveyard party. I couldnt decide which one I like more 🥰
I actually got to see the Graveyard dance at American Sales yesterday. It was pretty amazing and if I find any room, I may pick it up.
haha the way you are pressed for space, that piece would be impossible to work in. The thing is MASSIVE
Great top 5

Lol funny! The ONLY building I didn’t pick up from Michael’s this year was the Garden of Eaten! We have PLENTY of them here in Cleveland.
Great ratings. Thanks again, Doug. I can't wait to see how you and others work the new items into your displays.
Thanks Greg!
Already closing in on 4,000! Well deserved! You are the best. Excellent Top 5!
thank you!
Awesome vid, I love a top 5. I completely agree about your #1, I can’t help but wonder if it will become as rare as Hemlocks Nursery.
Really depends on how long they produce it, I'd guess. It's much cheaper and its smaller than hemlocks, so you'd think they probably will wind up making more.
Thanks Doug. Your due a well deserved rest! Enjoy
Hi Doug! Miss watching your videos.... hope to see you soon, only 321 days until Halloween 🎃
Not gonna be as active this year but Ill be putting stuff out sporadically with hopefully not so long a break!

Great video and list!!!! It’s been a good year, and I can’t wait to see what’s next and your village late September!! See you soon!
planning to put up my display in about a month!
Thanks so much, and again, if we thanked you back when this came out! Halloween is a great time of year and by extending through your building and candle reviews makes for more Happy thoughts and memories.
Happy Halloween.

Spooky Villages totally agree. I just wanted to have one d56 house on the list 😂 wish it had more bats!!

Like another commenter said in Cleveland there's still lots of these available- must not be so popular here.
Great Job 👍. The garden of eaten was very surprising that it came in #1.
All the top buildings are really close this year, closer than in years past. The cheap price of the Garden put it over the edge for me.
5. The Haunted Library
4. Doctor Pins & Needles
3. Graveyard Party
2. Garden of Eaten
1. Til N Hurl
I managed to get my hands on the Pins & Needles and the Garden of Eaten but still am searching for the Tilt n Hurl. Lots of Micheals near me are sold out. Wish me luck!

It's always interesting how certain markets sell out in a piece and then in others they don't move at all!

off the top of my head I can't think of a city building that has multiples
LEMAX 2021 Spooky Town Halloween village pieces look great. I will be buying all of them. 🎃😈🎃
So happy you are enjoying that Apple Barn!

Hope to sell backdrops next year as I get a lot of requests! Thank you for watching!
New sub and just decided that I’d like to have a spooky town! I’ll be going to Micheals tomorrow so this is very helpful!! LOVE the tilt’o’hurl!
good luck!
This is awesome!! How did I not know about this?! Love!!
I remember I was in Michaels holding the The garden of eaten, and wanting to buy it but I couldn't think of what it would match with in my collection so I didn't buy it. I really like the piece I just wish I could of matched it with something. Love your list. :D
it's good for a farm or town scene i think!
Newer to Michael’s and Lemax. Does Michael’s still offer 60% off? I only have a 25% wasn’t sure if there might be a trick to get that treat
I am going to be posting a buyer's guide this week! No, it's rare to ever get 60 percent anymore! Usually 30-40 is best you can do. SOMETIMES a 50 percent deal/coupon comes, but it's rare.

Great Price for Garden Eaten. Tyvm Love your Videos.
I'm loving the Apple Barn. I guess I'd better find Dept. 56 near me!
I adore it!
#4 it's my favorite, love it!! Thank you so much
So many people love the library this year!
I didn't think you'd have garden of eaten as #1. Huh, I guess I don't know as much as I thought I did. Oh well. Cool list! 🎃🖤🎃🖤🎃🖤🎃✌️❤️🤘
Was a tough year for me to pick #1 as I really liked all of the top 5, but the price of the Garden gave it the nod here. It's so cheap!
Does anybody know how to, if there is a way, to know which pieces will be retired this year?
Hey guys,
This year I will be in USA all the way from Italy on honey moon.
As we will be there during halloween season I would ask you guys...

We'll be in Florida, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, South Carolina and Georgia by car.
It's hard to say for Lemax but for Department 56, they have a great store locator on their website and many dealers have stock year round!
I also just got the Garden Of Eaten today
glad you scored it!
Yah, spooky town is selling fast this year
I love the Garden of Eaten, hoping I can still find it!
they are still out there!
@@SpookyVillages I found one! I can not wait to take it out of the box! Appreciate your reviews!
Does anyone have a recommendation for diy halloween village channels? I love the Lemax buildings that I bought this year, but the expense of buying whole sets is a bit daunting!
Since you like both Halloween and theme parks, have you ever been to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal?
Nope, sadly I have not. I am moving to Florida soon though and will only be about 2 hours from Orlando so I will be able to visit annually!
Spooky Villages My home state of 20+ years! Halloween is big down there. There are plenty of both theme parks and independent Halloween events. You’ll have plenty to do!
Thanks Doug!
thanks for watching!
You had me to #1 but it is your list.
Where can I buy department 56 in person? I hate buying online. Lol
you would want to head to their website and look at the dealer locator. Big brand stores don't carry them, it's all smaller specialty retailers for the most part
When will we see your village?
I posted it to instagram last night but I am severely burned out from doing videos, so I won't be posting one. Sorry :/
Spooky Villages ok I’ll check it out on there no problem!👍🏼
Tfs😊 My Favorite pick is #3😊
Omg So Many of them are So Awesome but My Number 1 is your Number 3
Yeah I figure many have Graveyard Party as #1! Any of my top 3 could be changed around
@@SpookyVillages I like All yours but yeah #3 is number 1 For me
Wow I'm surprised!
That apple barn. My mind went straight to Pick your own brain not barn. Lol
lol
I have garden of eaten I don’t really like it because it doesn’t match anything
👍 🎃👍
