- The top half of the video shows Helly waking up from her perspective while the lower half shows the same scene from Mark's perspective. These do not always sync up, so when one half goes black, it's to sync up the timelines.

This side by side is so interesting. I love that it reveals the fact that Scott's "right as rain" quote was looped in to sound exactly the same in both scenes, since they didn't show his face, whereas for all the lines where you see his mouth there are slight inconsistencies.
I'm kinda disappointed that the scenes don't perfectly match up. I thought all of it was done in one shot but it doesn't seem like it. Or maybe the timing was altered for each perspective to make for a better viewing experience, like the long wait between "who are you ?" and "I got ahead of myself" which is much longer in Helly's perspective.

Yes, for editing and pacing proposes they aren’t going to line up, but at least they made a good attempt unlike other shows where when they show the same events from a different perspective it’s clearly a different take even with different dialog.
Obviously these slight fluxuations foreshadow the irrefutable fact that there is a Severenace Multiverse!

Would love to see Helly's perspective only - the cold open to episode 1. It's one of the best scenes in the show.

It's more that I want to share the cold open with people who aren't yet interested. It's probably the best hook for the series, yet it's not online.

I’m sort of confused. Are these two perspectives or two realities? Because did Mark actually ask the questions in the second version of this scene that’s from his perspective? Why did they skip it? Was that intentional?
they skipped it because you already saw it from helly's pov and no new information would be given to you if you saw the whole series of questions from mark's pov. from her pov, it is a slow realisation that she doesn't know the answers which she should know. for mark, he's ticking them off a list. that's not interesting. it doesn't matter that we don't see the questions from mark's pov. just because it's not there doesn't mean the character didn't experience it.
