The Foundry Lofts located at 300 Communipaw Avenue, was originally a factory for the American Type Founders, which produced typefaces for typewriters, since 1903 before going out of business in the 1940’s. For decades after it was used as warehouse space.
In 2005, the property was transformed into a 156-unit condo building, maintaining its industrial character.
