Informative! I also dust my molds with baby powder or corn starch. It helps break the surface tension, helping the resin to flow better, resulting in fewer trapped bubbles.
It is best whenpouring the molds full of resin. To get the air bubbles out of the corners. Is to take a thin brass rod you have rounded on one end, and lightly stir the resin inside the mold not only removing any trapped air bubbles to the surface, but forces the resin into every corner in the molds.
Thanks for the video mate, regards the trapped air bubbles, if you tap or vibrate the mould, you will get 99.9 of it out. Especially in the wheel type moulds. Great stuff, that resin looks real easy and low mess
Thanks! We made the RTV mold. All the materials can be found in the kit in the video. You can also buy the mold and resin materials separately. Here's a starter set: www.micromark.com/RESIN-CAST-STARTER-SET
Alumilite....junk!!! I hate brand. Get your hands on smooth on or other good quality brands , safe your self from RTV nightmare. Castin' craftin' I'd awful too.
