***** Do you know the guy ? I cannot find him. Yea, because everyone is praising you for the idea. And I think you did not come up with that idea. Obviously it's just speculation but I have seen the exact same thing before and I'd rather credit him than you :P
***** I cannot find the video, it vanished from my youtube history. He was invading in the irythil dungeon and he used the actual small version of pine resin and the mailbreaker. Really wanna find him, anyone help ?
This is an excellent idea, and one of my favorite DS3 PVP videos to date. It's not exactly a guide, just a stream of consciousness from a skilled player, but it functions well as a guide. Thanks for putting in the effort.
It's surprisingly interesting getting the insight of the PvP together with the clips, not to mention the self-deprecating humor adding to the entertainment value as well. I like it.
I really like this idea, it's a simple enough way to show to people what's your throught-process while fighting but as well as being a silent video, allowing people to be more attentive to what's happening in the fights and learn from them. That's a really neat idea.
This format is amazing, it manages to be humorous, easy to focus on the game play because there's no voice in the background, and gives an idea for what to keep in mind when trying to pvp. Good shit man
I actually love this format incredibly serene but also very informative. Gives a sort of feel like we're in your head or something. Would be awesome to see more of it.
This is actually pretty amazing. It's eye-opening, seeing the perspective of someone who gets in-depth with PvP and considers a number of possibilities during a fight. Also something I haven't seen anywhere else just floating around. Wonderfully unique and well executed.
I immediately subscribed your channel after watching this video... keep doing this type of stuff... best shit I've ever seen in a loooooong time. but you should add some slow-mo and rewind...
Very nice idea. Reminds me of the scenes from the Sherlock Holmes movie where he analyzed the opponent and planned his movements. Are you gonna make more of these?
This and the narrated PVP videos are actually quite helpful! I'm learning a lot by seeing what you look for, and my PVP skills have improved quite a bit since I've started following your channel. Well done!
Holy hell, as somebody trying to get into PvP, seeing how you think to do the things you do is incredibly helpful. Please consider making more of these.
I like the idea, but if I might make a suggestion, perhaps a more consistent location for the thoughts would be better. For example, at 0:48 when mentioning the knives, the text suddenly appears in the lower left amid the interface and quickly disappears. Given that most of the messages were hovering around the character's head, I completely missed the words and just saw a quick flash of text garbled with the interface. I saw that the issue was corrected at 1:47 when you mentioned the knives again, but I want to explicitly highlight this potential issue in case you just fixed it subconsciously, and might repeat the "error" subconsciously later on as well. Overall, I really enjoyed the chill, contemplative nature of the video, and the vast majority of the time the text was in a good spot. Engaging with the action, relaxing with the ambiance. Really great stuff.
This was brilliant. More of these would be awesome, they give a surprisingly insightful analysis of PvP technique, pattern recognition, counters, tactics etc
Nice. Super neat to watch someone explain their thought processes in Souls pvp with little floating text messages. I like the music, too. Really fits the mood
This makes me want to start playing PvP in a Dark Souls game for the first time. This is the kind of video that shows so much more than what guides do. I really hope to see more.
This is a good idea. As someone who finally decided to get into DS PvP, this is really helpful, and seems to be a easier and more relaxing way to learn than with live commentary, for example. Hoping you do more of these.
Genius idea. Super helpful, interesting and still friggin entertaining. Thanks for the info and the chuckles. I would definitely appreciate, watch and rewatch more videos like this.
This was very interesting. It's helpful to know what kinds of things are going through a more experienced player's head during a duel. Now I know a few more things to look out for. Thanks, Jund!
I would love to see more of these they really help to give some tips on how to read people and things to look out for so you dont get read as easily nice job Scott.
I found this very very entertaining. Easy to follow and great for a pvp noob like myself. I think I learned more watching this than reading all the guides and watching all the "how-to's" for pvp. Would love to see more videos like this.
Been in the fighting game community since 2011 and I've seen videos like this, though not very many. I love watching high-level players narrate their actions and predictions live during a match.
O_O This was amazing. You truly know your PvP. Please do more of these in the future, I would love to see more. I doubt there will be lots of examples of you losing considering your in-depth thought on this video, but if you have any of someone who defeated you, that's be good to see in this analytical style as well.
I'll echo everyone and agree. As someone who would like to get into PvP, as well as someone who just loves video game psychology, this was witty, fun to watch, and more intuitive than most examination videos. I'd dare call this academic.
Fantastic, I love videos that show play-by-play observation and decision making. Too bad they are so hard to make, as you said. I tried to get into your fights yesterday, I was Dirty Dan. A friend asked me to try to get in vicariously, and I was laughing really hard when he told me you were using the weapons I'd just started testing, the Carthus Sword and a halberd (mine is Gundyr's). Hopefully I'll actually get to try my luck next time.
Definitely a cool video in that it's great knowing what things to watch for and what thought processes to follow, a good video about a good player making good choices :P
This was clever. Less fatiguing to watch than a tips video with narration, though those vids aren't necessarily bad.
+VaatiVidya I have seen it before though. Nothing new sadly.
+Max Schmitd Sadly? One guy made something like this before and no one else can do something similar or its sad?
***** Do you know the guy ? I cannot find him. Yea, because everyone is praising you for the idea. And I think you did not come up with that idea. Obviously it's just speculation but I have seen the exact same thing before and I'd rather credit him than you :P

+Max Schmitd Well I've never seen it so who fucking cares. Is it that important?
This is an excellent idea, and one of my favorite DS3 PVP videos to date. It's not exactly a guide, just a stream of consciousness from a skilled player, but it functions well as a guide. Thanks for putting in the effort.
"painting guardian sword offhand. dark souls 2 ptsd" i lost it
It's surprisingly interesting getting the insight of the PvP together with the clips, not to mention the self-deprecating humor adding to the entertainment value as well. I like it.
This was seriously good, more engaging than a LOT of other pvp videos. ^_^
I really like this idea, it's a simple enough way to show to people what's your throught-process while fighting but as well as being a silent video, allowing people to be more attentive to what's happening in the fights and learn from them.
That's a really neat idea.
Sherlock Holmes: Dark Souls Edition
This is fucking cool, obvious how much work you put into it. Nice work man
This is great, you should definitely make more.
Yeah this is a fantastic idea, props on this
Loved the music, loved the chill vibe of the whole damn thing. Well done, skeleton.
I like it, text could last a little longer, be a little bigger. but I had no problem with it, more worried for other people.
This was downright my fav vid in a long time. Really good job
Great Idea Scott!
+Lime Doe I like the character in your pic, is that an OC or from something?
asleeplessgamer ilya kuvshinov
This has a lot of potential to possibly being an ongoing series, what do you think, Jund?
This format is amazing, it manages to be humorous, easy to focus on the game play because there's no voice in the background, and gives an idea for what to keep in mind when trying to pvp. Good shit man
oh my god, this was absolutly amazing. PLEASE MORE!
Thanks for all the effort, loving the videos

That was cool, was a little difficult to read everything before it disappeared though
great to watch. could read almost everything fast enough. great idea scott!
Wow, loving this style of narration! This really helps since we can watch in 0.5x speed and still get the gist of everything
I immediately subscribed your channel after watching this video... keep doing this type of stuff... best shit I've ever seen in a loooooong time.
but you should add some slow-mo and rewind...
+Redar Same here. This is an incredible video
Very nice idea. Reminds me of the scenes from the Sherlock Holmes movie where he analyzed the opponent and planned his movements. Are you gonna make more of these?
+martynoob if the reception is good yeah.these do take significantly more effort than my normal shitposts though
+DamnNoHtml this was honestly amazing, I've watched it a few times actually
+DamnNoHtml Reception is good and both this one and II are actually very educational.
Please sir, can we have some more?
This and the narrated PVP videos are actually quite helpful! I'm learning a lot by seeing what you look for, and my PVP skills have improved quite a bit since I've started following your channel. Well done!

The guy who jumped off with the old wolf greatsword. Maybe he was seeing you have the animation bug. Ice skating and all.
+MultiSapMan Definitely possible.
Hate that bug. I need some spray.
Nice. Super neat to watch someone explain their thought processes in Souls pvp with little floating text messages. I like the music, too. Really fits the mood
This makes me want to start playing PvP in a Dark Souls game for the first time. This is the kind of video that shows so much more than what guides do. I really hope to see more.
Thank you! Your passion has created content that actually shares how to think in dueling/invading.
This is a good idea. As someone who finally decided to get into DS PvP, this is really helpful, and seems to be a easier and more relaxing way to learn than with live commentary, for example. Hoping you do more of these.
i loved, would like to see more
I need more of this in my life.
Amazing video and taught me more in a minute than any other PvP did in its entirety.
Very good video, lots of sound advice mixed into solid execution.
Genius idea. Super helpful, interesting and still friggin entertaining. Thanks for the info and the chuckles. I would definitely appreciate, watch and rewatch more videos like this.
I love this idea. Another idea...do this in a subscriber duel arena video setting for specific feedback for everyone that duels you.
^That's a wonderful idea that could help everyone
I know I would love it!
This was very interesting. It's helpful to know what kinds of things are going through a more experienced player's head during a duel. Now I know a few more things to look out for. Thanks, Jund!
This is great! It's a triple threat: interesting, informative, and creative, I'd love to see more.
Incredible breakdown of the situations and your thoughts behind them! Also, good commitment to the editing.
Absolutely amazing. Loved this. Would love to see more, even if only few due to, from what the description says, taking a lot of time to make.
Please do more of these, they're highly entertaining and can help new and experienced PvP players. Thank you!
Please do make more of these, really enjoyed it. Gonna have to try this thought process when I venture back to the Pontiff fight ring
This is incredible!
Just an FYI this video was finally the reason I decided to subscribe. I love these kind of videos :D
I would love to see more of these they really help to give some tips on how to read people and things to look out for so you dont get read as easily nice job Scott.
This is easily one of the coolest videos I've seen. Great stuff!
Really enjoyed this vid, music creates a nice ambiance to the video. Would def. watch more of this, great job!
I found this very very entertaining. Easy to follow and great for a pvp noob like myself. I think I learned more watching this than reading all the guides and watching all the "how-to's" for pvp. Would love to see more videos like this.
That was beautiful.Need more.Need more now.
Been in the fighting game community since 2011 and I've seen videos like this, though not very many. I love watching high-level players narrate their actions and predictions live during a match.
more of these please! so calming to watch!
Loved this video format, very helpful for understanding how I should be thinking in pvp, hope to see more in the future!
Nice vid scott. Reminded me of the Sherlock movies which is a good thing! I would love to see more of these.
Really great concept and some good fights as well, subscribed and looking forward to any future videos in this series!
Really cool, would love to see more.
Maybe with a bit more sound? A bit of music perhaps? Video started feeling a bit stale.
+Ben Shabtai its there, the volume is just very low
I actually really like this format of narrated duels. Great idea!
This was one of the coolest videos I've seen. Very well done.
What can we say! Just the best pvp advice ever! Creative and informative.
Love the music ! great choice. Keep up the splendid Vids !!
This was a really fun video to watch, I hope you make more!
Really cool shit Jund, always like it when you show us how you think during PvP
Please do more of these it's really interesting
O_O This was amazing. You truly know your PvP. Please do more of these in the future, I would love to see more. This is great, I could watch these all day.
Katana player's thoughts:
Running R1
Running R1

Running R1
Running R1
Washing pole specifically, I've played some really good katana players
Good job man, I like the concept. Identifying playstyles shows a few interesting metas I haven't tried before.
I actually like this a lot. Makes it easier to understand what I'm doing wrong. Thanks, keep it up!
I'll echo everyone and agree. As someone who would like to get into PvP, as well as someone who just loves video game psychology, this was witty, fun to watch, and more intuitive than most examination videos. I'd dare call this academic.
Totally worth watching. Couldn't help but have RDJ read everything as Sherlock. Hope to see another one at some point.
Great concept, do more of this! Similarly to what other have commented, the text anchored to your head was a bit tough to read with it jerking around.
+Taw I kind of almost wanted it to be hard to read. Trying to represent how thoughts pop up and go away within a second when I'm fighting someone.
+DamnNoHtml thats so much work to make the text bob around with the head like that lol. please watch your health scott.
+DamnNoHtml Yep, I respect that choice
Estoc player thoughts: R1 R1 R1 R1 R1
+GRANTNOLA R1 triangle R1 triangle R2 WHAT AM I DOING THIS ISN'T R1 OR TRIANGLE
Fantastic, I love videos that show play-by-play observation and decision making. Too bad they are so hard to make, as you said.

This just reminds a friend and I of Sherlock Holmes. Not necessarily a bad thing. I love this... and would definitely watch more of these.
That was really cool, defiinitely would like to see some more of these occasionally. Helps to see how other think...
Fantastic video. Really appreciate the time you took. More please!
Honestly really enjoyable and really helpful. Hope you do more.
Excellent video, really like the format. Keep 'em coming!
this is exactly the kind of video I love, please make more
Actually a really cool and unique concept, Really Enjoyed it Man!
WOW SO BEAUTIFUL SHARING
This was great. I really enjoyed it. Please make more if you're feeling up to it.
That was amazing. Hopefully more to come? VERY GOOD!
Cool concept and you executed it well. Your commentary is always insightful but it's nice to see new content too.
Extremely impressive video, I learned much more here than in two of you're narrated duels. Must do more!
This style of video is definitely going to trend. Good on you, dude!
Really loved this and hope you'll do more.
This was an amazing idea. Seriously enjoyed this. If it takes too much out of you to do them I'm cool with this being the only one.
this is by far the best way to learn from the best pvpers... great work... Make it a series...
Definitely a cool video in that it's great knowing what things to watch for and what thought processes to follow, a good video about a good player making good choices :P
This was amazing. I learned a lot from this video. Thank you for your hard work.
please do this more. very informative, i've learned alot from this and your narrated one.
Tears of denial, killed a guy, stopped fighting, remember the mental note on tears of denial, watch as is slaughtered while remembering mental note
this was actually really sick! I wouldn't mind this becoming a series :)
i love this, super cool. way more interesting then a lot of commentary videos i see on youtube
Oddly thought provoking, well done Jund.
That video was amazing man really liked the style of it!
Always wanted to see/maybe do this kinda video, cool to see!
Dude this was awesome! i'd love to see more videos like this
