In the late 80's I had an opportunity to tour Graceland. At one point I remember going up a set of stairs and I remember seeing a huge chandelier. But I don't remember seeing Elvis' bedroom or the bathroom. I don't think at the time I was there the tours were as well organized as they are now. It was quite memorable. RIP Lisa.

No, none of Elvis personal items are upstairs. Every single item Elvis had is cataloged and kept in a special building with several locks & security provisions in place. The items on display are changed out periodically for the FANS so when they return there are other items displayed. His costumes are always displayed. They wear special gloves when handling all of the memorabilia also. Always 2 people are assigned when anything is changed out or replaced and of course all the security cameras are there. When Elvis was alive NOBODY could go upstairs then either. That was his private area and everyone knew it. He would occasionally call downstairs if he needed something and then that person was allowed upstairs. After he passed away Vernon kept it private. They didn't want people taking pics of the area where he passed away and disrespecting his memory. When Lisa came to town she would stay upstairs. Opening up Graceland to the public was really a no brainer....

The reason people want to go upstairs in the house is to see the bathroom where he died. And I believe that they don't want people going up there taking a picture of that bathroom posted it everywhere and talking about his death. He died on the toilet and I think that they would rather people not take pictures of that

You are exactly right. Elvis died on the toilet from drug abuse which weakened his heart. He was discovered with his pajama pants around his ankles by his 21 year old girlfriend at the time. The MSM refuse to cover that part of his history to protect him but they do not do the same for other Music Icon's when they die or are murdered.
I agree that it should stay off limits. As open as the life of thee Presley's is...there should be some place that should be kept private and only for family. It's so very sad the losses that their family has had to endure. Thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I think Elvis is encased in the wall and not buried in the front yard. Is really why nobody can go upstairs. She said he was in the home for three days. Or he is buried in the floor in the basement and the family just has the theory don't go upstairs to throw us all off. 🕺🥀🕊️

For one thing he's not buried in the front yard. Elvis, his mother Gladys, Vernon his dad and his grandma Minnie mae are buried on the side of the mansion and residents that were alive then saw Elvis and his mother being moved to Graceland in oct of 77 after attempts to steal Elvis body that was in a mosuleum. Gladys was buried outside the mosuleum with a Jesus statue in front of her grave both are now at Graceland. I don't understand why people comment about Elvis if they don't know what they are talking about. I've been a fan 45 years and I can't believe the crap people believe.

I just think that the upstairs at Graceland is where Elvis died, etc... is sort of a sacred area to the family, and they want to keep it private. I've been there twice in my life, and I respect their decision on that.
I am so sorry to hear about Lisa RIP Lisa. But I do know the truth about Elvis tho. Elvis did not ever die. He’s still alive, & his name is Bob Joyce. He’s a pastor. He even has been seen at the Graceland mansion many times, leaving the mansion & also entertaining guests. He even tlks, (gives hints) in his church sermon’s about being Elvis, & things he had. At Christmas time, he makes note to his church ppl, that he will not ever b around to do Christmas services, bcuz he always spends Christmas with his family at Graceland. But this is y the upstairs is off limits. It’s really not a secret anymore. Another man, was buried in his place. Even with the open casket whn “Elvis” was “buried “, during the service, face was made of wax, & it got so hot that the wax started melting. I saw that myself. There is nothing to hide in upstairs Graceland. The family wanted to leave it undisturbed as Elvis left it. No mystery here as everyone knows. Most of this everybody already knows anyway.

I would say that Elvis's, Lisa Marie's and Aunt Delta's bedrooms are definitely off limits...except for to family members. There could be other areas that are off limits to the public but I'm not sure about that part.
It's very sad that Lisa Marie passed away but the first thing that comes to mind is that she had a history of drug use and I just don't understand what made her revert back to that if that was the case and how she died and it's ironic because her father Elvis died the same way just like what happened to Whitney Houston and her daughter people drowned in a bathtub... it's quite eerie

her son passed away through suicide so if she did go back to drugs that would ve why periods of high stress and/or guilt is the hardest time to stay clean she also may have just done long term damage my nephew started using at 18 and when he was 31 quit but even years later his health is not the same or it could just be genetics some people in her family have died young because of heart issues from what i understand
