Thank you Bonnie, very helpful to be reminded of the characteristics of each pencil brand, and bringing in the color wheel to to remind us to look at it more for our color choices. Hope to see more of these on cats, dogs and other animals as well. Taking notes helps me remember! Thanks again!
thank you Bonny, this is sooo helpful. Not only for the color choices but also the brands and their characteristics, and what to use at each phase. I do have a question - you did not cover what colors you used for the harness, especially the metal parts. I would be very interested to know how you did those
That was an extraordinary class, very detailed and specific, but not hard to follow. It does help that I have had a few months to "know" the different pencils and the colours/names - I think perhaps someone at the very beginning would have more difficulty with that amount of information, (I know I would have), but at this point, while I'm probably not up to this in actual colouring, I totally understand it and will be able to use it going forward. I think it helps at the beginning to buy your pencils individually and keep lists of what you need for what, then when you mention colours I know which ones you are talking about even if I don't already have them. (And then they go on my wish list!) Thanks again.
Very interesting and informative video. Thanks Bonny! I would love to see videos like this for silver grey dogs and portraits done on graphic film. I'm taking notes!
Wow, this video was awesome! I’m amazed at the purples and blues that you use but when you explain it so well, it opens your eyes to see those colours. So cool! May I ask which Derwent pencils you use for those base layers, the ones with the black ? Thank you for sharing and look forward to seeing more of these.
Great explanation of what pencil you choose, why, and where in the process of drawing they are used. As I'm new to CP and wonder what colour, why, where and when, this is very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to do this.
That was a great video. Thank you sharing your color choices with us. I love that you use so much color in what appears to be a brown horse. I took three pages of notes. Thank you so much!
Hi, thanks for all the posts you do, with a great deal of detail. Do the luminance pencils you use actually provide more of a specular highlight or color that stands out more, or is it just in name only?
Do you start off with a graphite pencil to outline the subject and then erase as you go? Or do you use an actual color pencil in the shade of the base coat of the subject? Thanks!

Thanks Bonny for this great info. Very helpful. If you could find time as you mentioned to do this for other portraits you do that would be amazing!!
That was incredibly helpful, now to listen again and make notes. Also extend my wish list. 😊 Thank you
So glad it was useful 😊

Tks Bonny. As a beginner I had no idea about why, which pencils. Now it's a lot clearer.

Question. You mentioned what sounded like Perline Brown, a vibrant reddy brown. Cant locate it. Please help. Thanks!
