@@erikricardoboscolo4779 Probably not but the thing is, training volume helps anyway. With a lot of dedication you can get pretty jacked with only bodyweight exercises associated with a strict diet, you just don't get super hypertrophy (and most guys who do are on PEDs anyway). So resistance bands are a step up from pure bodyweight exercises. And for most muscle groups, with a strong enough band, you can get as much strength training as with heavy weights, the limiting factors is that for legs for instance, you can't mimic a weight heavier than what you can either hold with your hands or safely block using your own weight. If you wanted to mimic super heavy squats with an exercise band, you'd need to put a bar to hold the elastics and not use your hands, and support the bar with your back. Elastics also have a different dynamic profile for the movement in that the movement gets harder as you extend into it. It's a different workout than with weights, where the effort remains the same throughout. It can lead to bad form, but you should just pay attention not to take elastics that are too heavy. Remember though, anything you actually do is better and more effective than something that you don't do! Right now, bands are all many of us got, so why not?

Great going and thats the way to do it. Pick out some exercises , hit them for reps and sets and mix up the exercises and reps and sets to keep shocking your body and keep it guessing and to continue to make progress. Great work so far :-)

Man THANK u so much . I gained 10 pounds of muscle in 3 just 3 months just by using exercise bands and doing body weight exercises like dips,pull ups and push ups, all at home. I highly suggest everyone to give this method a try since it worked for me. Use to think bands were a waste of time till I tore a rotator cuff and was forced to use them in therapy, now I use them in most of my workouts. Extremely versatile and portable... -Thanks for the video
These tubes/bands are another most excellent method to train, tone, rehab, stretch, or even build muscles. I know I utilize at least 21 different exercises. They can be stored in a small bag and carried so lightly. Thanks for an outstanding video.

I've been doing resistance bands on my back deck as part of my weight loss routine. I use bands because whenever I try to use free weights, my other muscles try to activate. Like my arms do most of the bench presses. But with bands I can really push hard and at the end I feel it in my chest. And I don't have to hold up any weight either which makes it easier on my arms. Bands also provide a different resistance too. The harder you pull or push, the more resistance you get which makes you have to push more and more.
I got these to as well as kettle bell med wheel and training wheel. You be surprised how much you tone up and sweat. When you sweat it means its working. The bands help you do movement better.
So I came here to get ideas for more things I can do with my bands while in hotels...and now my hormones are going crazy seeing what a real man looks like! Keep up the good work, sir, I only wish more guys in my generation cared about working out like you do...
I just picked up a set of Resistance Band to try out and also to bring with me when I vacation and such. This video really helped me understand the versatility of such an investment. Thank you so much. JC
I bought set of resistance band from Amazon it's very cheap and I almost a month doing exercises it's really workout I feel my chest getting wide and have solid mussels , thank you
Your videos are excellent. At 51 years old, (and just became a Daddy again!) I have not been in a gym for quite a few years, but these are certainly starting to tone me up. If you could put together an extended version, say 10 reps two sets per exercise so we can work alongside, that would be fantastic. Definitely motivated me to get back to a gym, time permitting.
Thanks a million for this video, it's clear, practical and exactly what I need! I just got a resistance band set to build up my strength during coronavirus lockdown here in Melbourne Australia. I don't want to bulk up as I'm happy with my size, I just need to build my strength for when I can return to martial arts training (and get toned for the beach of course!). They're a big help for home rehab as well (fractured/grade 3 rupture syndesmosis ankle injury from last year). With a proper diet, and skipping rope for the cardio, I'm confident a resistance band workout will get results.

@Zeus Fitness: thank you for this very helpful video, especially in times of isolation and home workouts. I have purchased a set of 5 bands of different strength. However, I struggle to find the right set-up with them: If I use only one of them while executing a push or a pull exercise (like this video suggests), the level of difficulty seems way too low (if compared to weights, cables, machines). But if I use more of them at once which makes it more "realistic" in terms of resistance, it is impossible to go through the whole ROM. What I mean: adding together several bands leads to limited elasticity, so either there's no tension at all on the bands in the initial position (if I go very close to where I fixed them) or (if keeping a bigger distance) it is not possible to pull/push them to the end without changing the stand of feet. So, summing up, it feels like either I have to renounce resistance or ROM,neither of which seems ideal to me. Do you have a hint for me?
I`m so glad that I found your channel but could I please ask you for some advice. I have lost lots of weight since beginning to cycle, run and use my resistance bands but I have always had a problem with having a flabby chest which has caused me a great deal of embarassment over the years. I cannot seem to shift the fat from my chest even doing things like push ups. Could you please recommend the best exercise using resistance bands to tone my flabby chest. Great video! I don't have equipment to work out, and I was only able to buy some resistance bands from my local store lol since everyone took the barbells and dumbbells. It's funny how people underestimate a resistance band when they can come in quite handy! I didn't even know you could do this many workouts with the resistance band. Again, thanks for the video.
My favourite would be the seated row. It's very useful and you can even do it without having to anchor the band. Just wrap it around your feet and you're going!

If doing these exercises you could try 10-12 reps of each exercise depending on the strength and resistance of the bands and 3-4 rounds of that Or you might prefer to follow one of the real-time follow along band workouts here in the channel and do then along with me! There are a good few on here worth checking out 😊
Excellent routine, wondering which approach is the best though: go straight through the routine as shown (example: 10 reps each then back the beginning x3) or to split them up and group them in a superset (example: Bicep Curls x10 then Side Lateral Raises x10 as a set done three times, then Lunges x10 and Tricep Extension x10 etc)
All of the above! Be creative and mix it up! Try for a while doing it one way then switching and doing the other you suggested to keep freshening up your routine 👌
I love using exercise bands with my cheap home made dollar store door anchors and loop handles made from simple rope doggy pull toys and very strong clothes line. I actually use industrial pallet bands which are the fraction of the price of commercial fitness bands..
This band is the bomb. I highly recommend it. I have been doing calisthenics in parks since almost 3 years and I use all kind of bands and ropes besides taking advantage of environment and using the park´s equipment like bars. For me this is the perfect work out. I am also vegetarian.

Question: what are you hooking or connecting the band to for the exercises in which you are not stepping on the band? Where is a good place in your home to hook or connect it to?
Around the banister at the bottom of your stairs is often a good spot. Or if you have a look around the home , sometimes you can come across surprising places to put them. Even around a tree or post in the garden if possible can work

thanks for the pointers..how MANY DAYS SHOULD I WORK OUT with the resistance bands, and how many sets a day? I'm 3 moths into weight training and see a difference. I'm 53 yrs old, does age matter when lifting? Normally how long would it take on a consistence basis, eating right etc to get ripped like yourself?
they have an attachment that lets you anchor it to your (any) door. You put it through the top and close the door and the anchor stays on the other side. If you can imagine that. Hope it helped.

Great video! I don't have equipment to work out, and I was only able to buy some resistance bands from my local store lol since everyone took the barbells and dumbbells. It's funny how people underestimate a resistance band when they can come in quite handy! I didn't even know you could do this many workouts with the resistance band. Again, thanks for the video.

My favourite would be the seated row. It's very useful and you can even do it without having to anchor the band. Just wrap it around your feet and you're going!

Awesome! If doing these exercises you could try 10-12 reps of each exercise depending on the strength and resistance of the bands and 3-4 rounds of that
Or you might prefer to follow one of the real-time follow along band workouts here in the channel and do then along with me! There are a good few on here worth checking out 😊

Excellent routine, wondering which approach is the best though: go straight through the routine as shown (example: 10 reps each then back the beginning x3) or to split them up and group them in a superset (example: Bicep Curls
x10 then Side Lateral Raises x10 as a set done three times, then Lunges
x10 and Tricep Extension x10 etc)
All of the above! Be creative and mix it up! Try for a while doing it one way then switching and doing the other you suggested to keep freshening up your routine 👌

I love using exercise bands with my cheap home made dollar store door anchors and loop handles made from simple rope doggy pull toys and very strong clothes line. I actually use industrial pallet bands which are the fraction of the price of commercial fitness bands..

This band is the bomb. I highly recommend it. I have been doing calisthenics in parks since almost 3 years and I use all kind of bands and ropes besides taking advantage of environment and using the park´s equipment like bars. For me this is the perfect work out. I am also vegetarian.

Question: what are you hooking or connecting the band to for the exercises in which you are not stepping on the band? Where is a good place in your home to hook or connect it to?
Around the banister at the bottom of your stairs is often a good spot. Or if you have a look around the home , sometimes you can come across surprising places to put them. Even around a tree or post in the garden if possible can work

I'm 3 moths into weight training and see a difference. I'm 53 yrs old, does age matter when lifting? Normally how long would it take on a consistence basis, eating right etc to get ripped like yourself?

Just wondered for the exercises where you hook the band up what do you hook on?
they have an attachment that lets you anchor it to your (any) door. You put it through the top and close the door and the anchor stays on the other side. If you can imagine that. Hope it helped.
