Nice! I’ve always loved the DR350. Having grown up in the dirt, then transitioning to the street for many years, I’m back in the dirt, but wanting a dual sport. The 90’s bikes are where it’s at for me. I’d love a 96 XR400 made street legal, but will probably end up with a DR350 as well.
I’ve got the exact same bike 1996 and I love it agree 100% with what you said about the clocks nice and simple engine I think They have so much more character than newer bikes
Great little bike. I wish I had one for city use. You have a DR250, as well. I used to have one when I lived in Tokyo in the early 90s. Perfect for the city.
Gidday from Australia. Because you are lucky enough to have both dr350 and dr250 could you please do a full review of both on road and off road , as there isn't much on UA-cam for full reviews on these 2 bikes , Lot of us want to buy them but not many reviews of both . Thanks mate .
I had a 95dr650 that was a blast. I just picked up a 99dr350 with 1700 miles and an extra clarke 4.2 gallon tank. How far do you go before putting the petcock in reserve?
Hi! I have to change the carburetor for my suzuki dr350S, it is a mikuni bst33ss. You will know if it supports the carburetor of the dr350R mikuni tm33, or you know any other that can be placed, since the original is not available.
@@ws6man96 Yep! Once it is warm it starts up on the first kick. Getting is started when it's cold is a workout. I rebuilt the carb and adjusted the valves and it's a bit better now
Do you still have the smog box hooked up...? I was trying to figure out where the hoses go..1 to carb 1 to air n 1 to petcock? .I'm working on the same bike for a friend, I hope I get it goin so I can ride it!
This bike does have great torque and gearing for it. However....Suzuki's gearing dept dropped the ball on their biggest seller ever. The DRZ. I just sold my DRZE {that happened to be Travis Pastrana's} cuz I hated the gearing so bad. Looking at a '90 DR350S and after test riding it Im impressed. Much better overall dual sport IMO than the DRZ
I paid 700 for my 92 with only 4000 miles, 5 gallon tank and supertrap exhaust. It didn't run, but all i had to do was bypass the neural switch and everything is perfect. I use it as a dirt bike and it performs amazing on and off road.
@@ws6man96 my buddy has a dr 350 and the electric start is nice but nothing more reliable then the good ol kick start.and she fires up no problem every time. I took it up in the mountains riding some trails and did a good hill climb and it did great! It's my first bike and I absolutely love it!
@@ws6man96 Do you know if the stock klr 250 battery can handle a small light bar? I wanna upgrade my headlight to an LED which will fix right in the stock housing no problem but I wanna mount a light bar on it and make it so I can go night riding up in the woods and whatnot.
Nice bike....I've owned Dr100 Dr200, Rm125, Panterra 125, KLX300R......the best two were the Dr100 and the Klx300r.....if the Dr200 wasn't bashed b4 I purchased it may have been a pick over the Kawasaki, that KLX300R all but the exhaust was stock and it was one of the fastest bikes I have ever ridden, I think faster than a Honda 400 that I rode just once....but for over all riding, dependability, EASY to start, speed......the DR's are my pick
I like these better than the DRC 400s. I like the DRC 400 but it really needs to six speed, it Would just do a little better on the slow stuff with lower first gear and the five speed just doesn’t have the range to lower it without costing you at the high end. I think they moved backwards with it I should’ve just kept this transmission
In my opinion with its stock gearing its acceptable. 60/65 is easy even 70mph. I wouldn't want to cruise at much higher of a speed than that for an extended period of time. Its light so it is prone to being blown around.
Just picked up a 1999 in awesome condition yesterday.. can’t wait to ride today
Just got a 97! Gotta little maintenance to do but excited to get to know her 🥰 thank you!
Fun times. Looking at a 97 DR350. Love those 90s dual sports. 🔥🔥

The XR400 is hard to come by unfortunately. Well...so is a nice DR350.ha
Did you ever get your DR ?
Forget the XR400 . Go for the XR650L if your willing to split cases you can come dame close to make it a XR650r
I just got a 94 DR 350 SE .
Owsome old motorbike
Fun video. I have a 95 Dr 350 with 23,000 miles and I absolutely love that thing.

Love these kind of bikes. Currently own a 1999 Honda XR400R but I'm very tempted to get a DR350 aswell.
My friend has a 93 DR 350 and it's sweet...Mountain Goat .
Such a classic. Wonderful !
Wow, just wow, wow wow wow wow! haha blessed man!!! Nice engine, colors are amazing!

90 mph.

Do these bikes have rear turn signals? I was looking at one online for sale and did not appear like it did.
If it's the street edition (se) model it should. If it doesnt, it is either the dirt model or they removed them/ broke off.

Minimal rust on the frame and no cracks. Watch the airbox hasnt been cut or the jetting is off.

I wouldn't sell, sorry.

Buy a motorscooter. The bigger models are quite stable and still smooth

Yes, it's a great all around bike. The seat height can be intimidating at first.

Sena Prism which records live/direct through my Sena 20s headset.
