@Reggie Smith Officially it's called the RX-78GP01-Fb Gundam "Zephyranthes" Full Burnern, but 'Burnern' is often called 'Vernian'. Given that this came out in 1997, it's no surprise fans would want an MG 2.0. There are a lot of things that show that this MG is very old. - peg built on the torso - no inner frame for the waist armor sections - very basic articulation - MG 1.0 style hands (no pegs, no finger swapping) I agree that at this point, the RG, HGUC, and PG versions are a better alternative. Unless you're a hardcore fan, this MG is a waste of money and you can get better quality form other kits. I am not a UC fan so I have not purchased this kit. But I have seen reviews and many people say similar things about this. I mean it's about 21 years old so that probably has *a lot* to do with these issues.
Considering that Kou Uraki was just a rookie test pilot going up against a Zeon War veteran like Anavel Gato, he didn't do so bad. Even Nina said that Kou had really pushed the GP01 to its limits.
Kou was a good character for Stardust Memory but he's on the lower spectrum on the Newtype scale. Still I have to give him credit for holding his own against Gato.
@@ReggieSmith101rsmith I agree. Characters like Kou, Shiro Amada, Christina Mckenzie, the Federation pilot who piloted the Byarlant Custom in Gundam Unicorn, highlight the ability gap between ace pilots versus Newtypes. These characters struggled greatly during their first couple of sorties but in Newtype pilot's case i.e. Amuro, Char, Quess Paraya, etc. They where able to easily master their mobile suits early on.
@@MK384 It really speaks to life in general. Not everyone can be a badass; some have to build themselves to be one, some have natural talent and ability and others just get squashed. You appreciate those characters who step up to the plate knowing that they're outgunned and outclassed, it makes their potential victory well deserved.
well, you compared a 1997 model kit in 2018 right? what you waiting? obviously now in 2018 compared whit what? sinanju mg, nu gundam ka mg? sazabi ka mg?....full burner is a crap compared whit those kits, but for 1997 is a very good kit and bandai dont release a v2 mg model kit of full burner yet, I have Nd I happy whit this, have a lot of good features
Even for a 1997 kit I still think it's not that impressive, it's maybe one step ahead of the NG 1/100 Gundam Wing EW kits. I understand it's a high standard for it's time but a 2.0 or Ver Ka is necessary for this kit because it simply hasn't aged well.
Sandor Clegane The only good version of the GP01 I can recommend is the Perfect Grade. It’s a bit pricey but it’m brings out of the best of both versions of the GP01 and still holds up despite being made in 2003. I’m crossing my fingers we see a 2.0 sooner or later.

xxnike629xx I can see it getting a 2.0 but it’s just a matter of when and how important of a priority it is for Bandai.
@Reggie Smith
Yea. So many mobile suits need an MG release or MG 2.0 release.
@xxnike629xx But you hate UC, so why do you even care of this kit? Please go back to your box prison full of your golden boys 00 and AGE.
