So much joy in the eyes of both players. Tal lived for his audience as well. I was a young chess player in 1974 and he gave me an autograph at the time of the Belgrade-Moscow match played in Belgrade where I grew up. Tal's smile and kindness are unforgettable for me to this day. I stopped playing active chess when I went to university but I never stopped admiring and loving both of these players. But Tal was an exceptional human being, he had so much love for everyone, he could play with amateurs in the parks: videos of him bring tears to my eyes. What a generous and loving genius! The king is dead. Long live the king!
Indeed. Every player on this planet, no matter how modest, and even if they never manage to win a game, they are the soul of chess. Tal, Morphy, Capablanca, Fisher, and other great champions are the brightest stars in the infinite universe of this beautiful game, which also motivate us.
Man the respect they had for each other, it brought tears to my eyes seeing Tal smile while he toys with the charming kid... And Fischer although seems to miss the scene but later recall it with a hint of spice, so clean

I even once saw a picture of Bobby Fischer visiting Micha Tal in Hospital. Tal was in bed, Fischer stood by him, and they studied a game on a little board.
Tal was simply marvellous, genius, funny, sarcastic, an amazing sense of humor, one of the greatest human being ever made by the Lord. And Bobby as well, but much more pragmatic and concentrated. By the way, also Spassky is a real gentleman and a honest Fischer's friend...♟❤♟
They were not cold blooded warriors of the Cold War as usually described in some papers. They were simply experts of chess who respected and even liked each other.

Thank you so much for this video. Misha Tal was indeed an extraordinary human being who happened to be one of the greatest chess players ever. Perhaps the best praise to Tal 's fascinating chess style comes from another World Chess Champion (G. Kasparov) who said "He was the only one I knew who didn't calculate the variants, he saw them.."
Before this Game Bobby Fischer was commenting how the soviets were afraid of playing the sicillian versus him and resorted to the caro khan. Hence tal jokingly first pushed his pawn to c6 and then shoved it to c5 as if mocking Fischer for his comments. A true chad.
I do recognize what Fisher did. but I admire more Tal. Misha Tal another genius who really loved the game, but with balls. If Fisher ( who used to complain about a chair, and lost focus because someone was coughing in the audience ) would have to go through all the physical pain that Tal went through before tournaments and championships and still played and won like he did many times, Fisher would have gave up chess forever, or would have never won a game. To me, Fisher was sort of a prodigy since he was a kid., but also a traumatic drama queen, whose mind remained like a child. Always complaining and later on too paranoid.
Everyone in Tal's family were Medical Doctors Fischers father an astro physicist which I claim is responsible for my 1600 rated ceiling as noone in my family are physicists or Medical Doctors
Am I the only one who is getting annoyed by the fact that the guy keep's stopping Fischer from finishing the sentence? Well, not technically stopping because the guy is following along with what he's saying, but you know what I mean..

Sir, keep that autograph safely, he was a legend, a miracle that would never repeat itself.
Anybody have any more info on that photo? Seems difficult to find online
Fischer and Tal are the soul of chess
Yes, with Paul Morphy !
@@nortonbuffalo9094 Morphy, Tal, and Fisher are the SOUL! Kasparov and Magnus are the SAINTS!

They were two geniuses, legends, and two WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS.

I've never seen this footage before. Thanks!
I guess Fischer loved Tal very much. Its great to see 2 legends in a video. Thanks for sharing this video.

Tal is the Chess GOAT, loved by all ...
Impossibile to be not a fan of him for me ... I saw him playing here in Milan 1975 ...
And played in a simu against him, he mated me in 18 moves ...

I love this song ❤️❤
Great video
The king and the magician
Marvellous persons!
Beautiful
Two Legends!
Good friendship
Both r the legend in same era

Sorry about that :)
What a class and personnality! Nothing to do with the best players of today, so boring as their computers. A golden era of chess!
Interesting that bobby is using algebraic notation in this clip. I thought that descriptive notation was more popular until the 80's
Tal is the kinda guy she tells you not to worry about

Thanks man :)
100% agree
One had the style of Alekhine and the other had the style of Capablanca! They do say opposites attract!Fabulous chess players.
As much as Fischer disliked the Soviet chess establishment and many of its players, he had a genuine and undisguised affection for Tal.
Cause Tal shared the same sentiments against the establishment

Fischer genuinely loved both Tal and Spassky. Friends of both until the end.
